Server Edition is great for a personal computer too, you can mess around with the command-line, get a feeling for inept you are with it, then just install kubuntu-desktop!

@cyborgtroy Bit late to say this, of course, but it's a better idea to do that by using the alternate CD and installing a minimal Ubuntu. That's because the Server Edition gives you a different kernel.
