You have a great swing to build on.Look up some information/videos on the "Reverse K Setup".I think that would help you tremendously. In general just keep working on the fundamentals (grip, setup, tempo) and you'll keep improving. The earlier comment about "hooding" the club face is correct. You have a tendancy (like most players) to want to keep the club face closed on the takeaway. This makes it very difficult to have a proper powerful release into the ball. Look up to takeaway videos for that.
you take the club back very straight and you stay outside through the whole swing... also your finish is high with your hands... try relaxing the grip and allowing the club to naturally turn over.
With your natural swing if you work at it you should be able to cut your handicap in half. Your swing looks better than most people I see at the driving range.
@localfitch Look at the club head at the top of the backswing. If the toe of the club is above your arm and the face is pointing mostly straight up, it's closed, or hooded. If the toe is below the arm, pointing toward the ground with the face pointing toward your head, it's open.
Also you seem to rise up through the hitting area. The spine angle should be same throughout the swing (well most good players lose a little height coming down as they compress into the ball). Swing too upright (as others have mentioned). Your left arm elbow doesn't seem in the right postion in the follow through. It's like a chicken wing :-) But swinging far better than in your previous videos. So keep improving lad :-)
As @bensteeley has said, the clubface is shut. That means you can't release the clubhead powerfully through the ball. Looks like your grip is strong, which is probably causing the face to be shut. Weaker your grip to neutral and then you'll get the face in a more neutral position at the top. Simples :-)
nice swing, but i want to kick your ass cuz you twirl the club after every shot, that just pisses me off, what's your weak-point in your game? (putting, chipping etc.)
@somelikeitsnotty I was taught a long time ago to release my grip after every swing to reset my hands between shots... that's just how I practice. Chipping and putting are both the culprits of my higher handicap, but I'm down to a 20.5 now at the beginning of this season.
@localfitch Ok, but it looks like you are twirling clockwise every time. This ingrains a closed face to open face swing. I see with your irons, the face is very closed at the top of the backswing, meaning you must open it some before impact to avoid a low pull. This opening takes some of the "hit" out of your shots. One method I've heard of is to hold the club in your left hand and twirl it counterclockwise. This ingrains an open face to closed face shot. Which I believe is stronger and easier.
You can maybe become more consistent if your downswing is more hips, then body, instead of at the same time or shoulders then hip. I'm not totally sure if that'll work, it did for me. And i got a little more distance. Hope that helps
@localfitch dude exactly, those flight limited balls suck ass man, i hit 330 meters thats about 380 yards if i am playing good, meaning i can pretty much eagle a par 4 if my tee shot gets on the green on a par 4 thats about 290 - 350 meters.
anyways i wish you good luck with your training, your clubs look a bit short get them lenghtend by a pro. will help your game i am guessing i am not sure. but ask a pro if your clubs need to be lenghtend seems that your big for those clubs
@premierclip I was fitted and these clubs are actually +1" in length and +2* upright. I've got my handicap down under 20 these days, I'll add an updated video at some point in the spring.
Your adress looks like Keegan Bradley ;) hahaha

work on your posture, also, on the takeaway try to hit the wall behind you with the club. That should round your swing a bit better

@xKiNGP1N right to left, soft draw... my range uses flight limited balls, but i'm confident that i carry about 220 or 230 on the course
