If you have 3 red lights just let it cool down for about a month. I had the same problem but all I did was let it cool down and then it should work again

my m8s xbox just got 3 red lights but in this case its a power failure so theres no activity and no towling it! ahhhh agaony

wow just now my xbox had red ring of death but i pulled power cord and it was fine

its not dead i had the same fing but leave it 4 awile or send to microscoft for free and get reeplacement p.s its called the ring of fire the red rings

Um... it's not dead its just overheated.

thats right it is only three rings it only dies when it has four rings

3 rings = dead (GPU/CPU failure), 2 rings = overheated, 1 ring = even more dead (complete system failure), 4 rings = AV cable not plugged in properly or broken AV cable

send it in to microsoft or if your warranty is up buy an x clamp kit VERY USEFUL long term solution fix for rrod.
