I saw this live on TV and at the first moment i thought, we have two killed drivers here. The first was Timo Glock. He was hit by his teammate's car at the helmet (he shows his helmet during an interview). The second was Ernesto Viso. And it looks like he hit with the had the wall when he was upside down on it.

This happen when racing car are drived by guy with a lot of money and zero talent (talent is right? sorry for my ugly english).

I was race marshall at the outside ou Adelaïde Corner, for the 2nd crash Visto was in fight with other drivers and do not see the SC boards and yellow flags due to 1st crash.

For the extinguisher, they are attached just behind the wall and the car have cut off the up part of it.

Marshalls friends near the crash are very lucky !!

well, i'd say the two people in the first row did a great job :D same team and both out of race after 10 meters....

but the hardest thing is the crash after the adelaide hairpin... that one was really brutal! it could have killed the driver or the marshalls... it was a lot of luck

That was so close to their heads in both crashes. When the car turned over on the barrier wall, that could of and would of killed him.

Shades of Martin Brundle's head knock in the early 90s but that second crash was jaw dropping! How on earth did he survive that with no injuries? When I saw that I was thinking of McNish's accident where his engine struck some spectators.
