But yes I do agree we need more nuclear, I hate people who try and paint it in bad light. Mind you I think America needs to adopt a waste recycling plant instead of this cheaper once through nonsence. Throwing out 95% of your product is a waste in my book and you also increase your energy security as you lower demand.

Throwing away other resources in a religious quest to recycle might be a waste. No one has ever thrown away any spent fuel, however. It will all still be here in the future waiting to be used further as fuel.

Hansen has been the director of GISS for over 30 years. You would think that NASA would have taken action in that amount of time for bad science. Here are few other senior scientists that have come to the same conclusion as Hansen. Schneider, Somerville, Ramanathan, Oppenheimer, Alley, Hilgarth, Keeling, Kaku, Hawking, Cox, Pachauri, Watson, Cicerone, Arrhenius, Callendar, Revelle, Awad, Crutzen and many others.

Yes back in the late seventies...that was their dire warning.. they were in a majority agreement then too. We dont breathe co2 we breathe oxygen and breathe out co2, if there was no oxygen and all co2 we would die.That is why ceo should be thrown in jail. Plants feed on co2 and make oxygen, but there is too much co2 for the plants to convert quickly enough, so we have alot of extra co2, clogging the air we breathe and burning a nice big hole in the ozone layer. You are out of your mind. Scientists have only been monitoring the Earth's climate as a whole for 130 years. The Earth has been in existence for BILLIONS of years. Over this time, MASSIVE changes have occurred. The Earth has been a volcanic hell, a snowball, and a habitable sanctuary through out its history. One volcanic eruption releases as many pollutants as all of the cars in New York. Humans themselves are not in control. Global warming is only used as a political deterrent for the new gov.

Stephen Hawking isn't a climatologist and hasn't looked at the data. The anti-global warming research isn't funding by energy companies, but Al Gore will make close to $1 billion on the Global Warming crap.

At the last U.N. meeting, 650 of the world's top climatologists told the U.N. that global warming is a media generated myth. Didn't catch THAT on your nightly news did ya? Neither did I! So one has to ask theirself, "why?" Stephen Hawking a moron? Please, we all know better. The answer to that, my friend can be summed like this, "Follow the money."

im worried about more pressing issues right now. like our national sovereignty, the steady erosion our god given freedom, the state of panic about our economy, and how the politicians are just throwing money they dont have to people who didnt earn it.

Think about this, increasing CO2 gases is only increasing the meltwater in Greenland which if that all melted we would have the biggest humanatrain crisis on the planet. Drilling?? for what in a few years we will be at the peak of oil production and it will be downhill from there. Science can be proven, whereas your stupid remarks cannot.

I think Barak Obama and President Bush put us on the path of globalizing the country by devaluing the American Dollar. I hate to say it but everything Obama is doing is destroying the dollar. It doesnt matter how many jobs you make if the dollar they get paid is worthless. And it is worthless because they keep printing too much money.

The government can't possibly create a new fuel, so we can be "energy independent," for several reasons.
1. Bureaucrats are stupid and corrupt. They will give capital to the biggest lobby, not the best fuel. Hence the "synfuel" and ethanol programs. Corn is being wasted on ethanol mandates.
2. Being energy "independent" is stupid, and undesirable. Even if we could replace oil with corn, what happens if we get a drought? We can't import any- we're "independent!" Remember? Ugh.

The only reason Obama is in the White House is because conservatives ran this country for 8 years and we seen the results. They have no answer when we get into recessions but cut taxes and wait it out, or make excuses for why it happens but it's never their fault..
