  • Hi I'm 15 and I really love bonsai's and I want to get one that is fully grown but I don't know were to get one from I think I should get one for a garden center ????

  • The main thing u gotta do is buy books and YouTube as Many bonsai things you can..bonsai is not what you think it is there not just a certain tree there almost any shrub or tree cut or grown to say small

  • i would like to get a bonsai tree, should i buy one from the store or get like a starter kit or something like that, it would be my first and i've been reaserching them. could someone tell me the main things you need to do to keep it alive. thanks :)

  • @volkoblade Just make sure you don't prune it to often and treat it like any other bonsai

  • i put mine out for an hour when the sun comes out, right now its outside on our picnic bench for a bit of sunshine,do u loosen the soil? coz mine is very stuck together in the pot!

  • wtf? its winter outside and i should just put my bonsai outside? :(

  • ha fresh air, not in these day

  • @swordjojo haha, true that

  • Im about to attempt to bonsai a red japanese maple, anyone have any tips? i'd appreciate it.

  • What!? I FLOOD MY BONSAIS and they are thriving!

  • Your videos are the most useful on youtube, thank you.

  • Is there anyone out there doing bonzai with one hand?

  • what type of tree is that in ur video?

  • I like all your video's thank you very much for hints and tips.

  • A good indoor bonsai would be Jade... they are very hearty and are very unique. They hold alot of water compared to other bonsai, so watering is a bit less frequent. Do some research before purchasing your bonsai because they do require a frequent and good amount of work.

  • This video is a lot better than others, you are looking up at the camera, thinking about what you are going to say, just remember not to mumble and open your mouth, we all want to hear what you have to say, it's very useful!

  • If I want to make a bonsai tree and keep it inside, what type of tree should i start with?

i may bring it outside once in a while, liek when friends are over and such, but other than that it mostly will be inside, if any1 could help me out I will be very thankfull.

    thats for the help,

    have a good day =P

  • any indoor tree will do, but then don't take it outside at all. go to the garden center and buy a one foot indoor tree, prune it, repot it and go from there.

  • Thank you for the reply ferdinand4444

  • Ficus are generally a good choice for indoors. Also, some form of gardenia, and I think Bougainvillea.

  • Hm. I advice you go for Fukien Tea (Carmona) or Ficus indeed. You can take these species outside during summer but you should watch the temperature! ^^ Carmona has small white flowers during late spring and summer, really nice with their dark green leaves. I have two Carmonas standing in my bed room, located next to a window(south) and their easy to maintain. Till now... =p Azalea Indicum can also be kept inside and outside during summer, they also flower! GL

  • OMG can we speed it up a little

  • Patience is a virtue.. especially for growing bonsai lol i don't think yours will last long.

  • oliva u said u dont have leave but prickles or needles its an out door bonsai not ment to be kepted inside if u leave it there it will die it needs a period of dormancy. hope i helped ^.^

  • you say ur keeping ur tree inside right? does it have needles (prickles) if it does that not an indoor bonsai tree its dieing because its suppost to be out doors its under too much stress in needs a period of dormancy. i would put it out side and look up more about ur type of bonsai

  • If anyone has seen my videos you would have probably noticed that my room is full of plants, Well I have a bonsai tree too and it isn't doing too good. It is winter so I am keeping it in my room by the window. I keep it well watered. The leaves(not realt leaves more like prickles) Are going brown and are becoming hard and falling off. The mass at the bottow of the tree is also going red and is crumbeling. I have triend everything! Can someone suggest a solution? Thanks.

  • pruning is clipping the "problem" and Unnesseccary unwanted branches and leaves and when repotting you trim the root ball down and theres leaf pruning which is cutting the leaves smaller because by today bonsai standards smaller is better

  • talking too slow took 2 min just to say take care of your bonsai.

  • What's Pruning

  • you have to train the tree with copper wires and ties to "bend" it while it grows. This takes a lot of care and time. It isn't like you can just wire anything, you might break it while trying...

You also have to wait until it "learns" to grow that way and that, depending on your tree can take years if you have a slow growing specimen.

  • Do you know how to form bonsai tree so it will grow how i want it to grow. I dont want it in the same shape all the time so if i want it to grow a bit diffrent like the leves will grow around the root or something instead of growing strate up so how do i do that can somebody tell me please??thanks
