They make it look easy. I tried it at the worlds largest vertical wind tunnel in the UK. There is a steep learning curve. Expect to pay thousands of dollars to get that good.

Team Future is so beast, they are pulling amazing flying for any age. It motivates me, seeing someone half my age fly a hell of a lot better head down than me!

The tunnel is a 12 ft diameter tunnel in Lone Tree Colorado, the kids are 8 and 11.... But you are definitely right-- they have more room in there then us adults!
