There is footwear with movement speed. Well, at the time I was playing it there was - did they remove it? The game always looked great, problem is its poor performance...and the lack of players. I'm waiting for the addon to release, hope people come back then.

i played this game from launch. as a barb and i was fucking badass.......... ppl even called me the "ghost" the "wraith" etc cos of how i would even attack and kill groups or high level players solo and disappear before they know what happened.... and some classy RP kills added to that list too. so many fun stories in hyboria, dayum :)

i think the biggest reason i stopped playing is

1) lack of content

2) even my laptop iwth the 8600 GT (which i bought specifically to play AoC), would run it fine with high settings, but would stutter in some places, and sometimes while fighting many mobs, or in tarantia.... annoying. i am not very good at compromising on graphical effects - and sadly i had to have a laptop at the itme cos of university/movign around etc. but now gonna get a desktop soon with Gtx 275 and time to PWN!

1)Content is being added like you have to breast feed babys

2)The quality how the game runs has been inproved like hell !

I put my faith in patch 1.05, not the upcoming years ;)

The patch already contains numerous improvements and/or additions to:

Guild city

Siege warfare

Class-balance

Tarantia Commons new playfield (nice one)

etc etc. As a HoX I'm especially satisfied by the huge changes to the class, balancing and greatly improving the feat-trees, and improving the spells and combo's usability and necessarity ;)

This one was done at 1900x1200 res, E8400 @ 3.83GHZ, Zalman 9990 CPU cooler, 8gb 1066 DDR2 Ram, ASUS Striker 2 formula mobo, 1x XFX GTX 285 @ 742 core clock, 1529 Shader Clock, 2683 memory clock. 1x 8800GT OC (in the machine for any Physx games) all off a WD 1TB HD Caviar black.

Just for reference I play this game on an old aging 8600 geforce card on lowest settings then flipping on shader model 3.0 and i still have fun. of course a better system will be nicer in the future.

It will run on high forsure. There are optional extra's that will need toning down though. With this video I used a GTX 285 + 1x8800 GT for any physx. On an 8800 GT which is essentially the 9800GT things are perfectly fine in dx9 on high with extra's turned on. In DX10 with the 8800GT by itself, there is some performance hit but most things on high with the set up you say will get you playable frame rates in 85% of the game. The good thing is there are many options to personalize the settings.

do you have windows XP or vista? coz you could use another GB gddr3 memory :P if you got vista you can have upto 3 more and the computer will run smoother. But sure, it should run nicely. I got my computer which just barely runs age of conan with 10 fps and all graphics on low :P (4 year old crap computer got a 6600gt...)

Yeah, I came back too in late February. The game is really great now. It plays very well, and they have done major improvements overall. The next patch 1.5 is revamping the loot, a much needed fix and I am really looking forward to it. Try out the free trial to make up your own mind.

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to reply. No official world yet on Khemi expansion. It would be nice as I personally feel Stygia has some of the most atmospheric zones, character and music. The way I see it is it looks like the expansion for the game which is probably around a year away quite possibly will be geographically set the closest to Stygia so it will be an important hub and is ripe for potential developement. We will have to wait and see what happens ;)

I played conan stopped bout 8 months ago was 2 laggy and everything was all to over-under balanced, also to many bug's i hav heard they have fixed the game quite well, im tempted to comeback to it but wanted an honst opinion to how it plays now, and most importantly how pvp is, i played conqurer and he was bugged could not use his skill's properly any feedback would be nice, also nice vid mate.

I played at launch too and quit for the same reasons. Then I came back about a month ago and I was blown away. Crashing and lag have virtually disappeared, and population is booming on my server (Cimmeria.) Definitely worth a resub.

hmm i am also on cimmeria, currently on holiday, but how does the conquerer play cause that was my highest lvl char and there were surposed to be patches that made him tougher but they were bugged, any info on that would be nice, and is it really got that good? i mean my com was amazing and still is had good requirement's but there was special way of playing in high graphics jus turning stuff like shadows and stuff off, 1 more thing does every 1run in circles while fighting?hopefully the conq gd

Over 70 thousand ppl downloaded the free trial over the past few weeks there are plenty of ppl around at the moment. Of course some will go and retention will never be 100% in any game, but the figures are looking good and there were a lot of populated servers before the trial started.

I don't think it will be an expansion place. I think they will release the second part of Khemi later this year, as a PvE tribute to the Guild-patches that we are waiting for, those will contain things like: Kingship, Alliances and War-declaration content (funcom newly implemented a War-declaration-system, but it's not a huge feature, yet)
