The song's title "Dalaa El Helween" translates roughly to "The cuteness of the beautiful ones".

Here is the general meaning of the words: Who is like you when you're acting cute? It's your right to act it up since you're so beautiful.

The song is from my teacher, Badia'a's CD by same title "Dalaa El Helween".

It seems more like someone casually dancing at a party, but not really performing much. idk thats just my honesnt opinion. she's still very good and has great control, it just seems too casual for a performance

I really like the Egyptian style and think she does it well. Her moves are very relaxed and gives off nice energy! However, the egyptian style of this dance alot more accented and sharp.

She's pretty good. But, from a picky and perfectionist point of view the dance seems more beginnerish. The dance doesn't match her talent because I think she is capable of doing much better and to be less stiff. More creative choreography to match the beat of the music, more sharper adavanced moves, and more emotion would make it better, improved and looking more proffesional. Although over all, it was still really great so I give you five stars. Bravo!

The thing about Hala is that she's not a show-off. She can do a lot more complicated moves than what you see here.

If she doesn't show it in this dance, it's because her philosophy is to keep with the joyful traditional Egyptian spirit of dancing. That's her main mission: to educate people on how Egyptians and others from the Middle East dance, not to show you some cool new retro moves.

True. But just because your doing your best at dancing does that always mean your a show off? If some one has an amazing talant, and wants to entertain people because it makes them feel joyful and they want to make others admired is that always showing off? It's not like she needs some "new cool retro moves" You don't have to have a boring stiff dance to keep traditional egyptian style. Oh and by the way, I NEVER said the dance was terrible. I still liked it. If I didn't why would I favorite it?

Belly dance is very easy to learn with the right teacher/instructions. One definitely gains flexibility and self confidence with dance among many other benefits. People of all ages, genders and flexibility levels in the Middle East express themselves with this vocabulary of movement.
