i always laugh at the theistic side of the morality debate----in that alot of the time their argument is "how can an Atheist judge Jesus if their is no moral standard for them to judge with" ---but ive always thought that was a huge fallacy....because how did THEISTS determine that Jesus was a good man? How did they determine his teachings were just UNLESS they already had an outside ethical standard in which to determine his moral worth?.....seems embarressingly obvious

God answers prayers, but God can also say "no" to one's prayer. All men have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. God is pure, and sinning against God is like slapping Him on the face. If you offend an eternal being, there is an eternal punishment for that. God is just and Loving, and the ultimate example of God's good grace is Jesus Christ dieing on the cross. God does not sadistically enjoy punishing people.

The reason why a murderer could go to heaven, is if he truly believes Jesus is his personal Savior, and ultimately because of God's saving Grace. Jesus is the saving grace. Interesting view. The word hell didn't exist in the original Hebrew. It's Sheol and in the Greek Hades. A place of nothing, not some phsyco hell story.. When Adam and Eve didn't follow God's request to not eat fruit from the Tree of Good and Evil, God banished them from the Garden of Eden. (I must also add that Satan came in the form of a serpant and tempted Eve to eat the fruit.) God sent man and woman out into the world of sin. God doesn't just decided, "Oh, I'm going to kill off a bunch of kids today!" No, it is because of the sin of the orginal man

First off, not a single person on here has mentioned the Fall of Man. When God first created man and woman, he let them care for the Garden of Eden. (Which He created). All He asked was for Adam and Eve not to eat fruit from the Tree of Good and Evil. Years before this, some of the angels had left Heaven, becoming the Fallen Angels because they did not want to follow God's law anymore. One of these was Lucifer, (commonly refered to as Satan), and he was orginally God's "right hand man".

Do you think it would be right to take off your childs legs when they are young and innocent because they took a mirror off mommies shelf? Probably "gods plan" whicj is inherently evil and only helps him in the end, I mean think about it. In the fictional land of heaven you would be worshipping this thing for eternity without stop. Why are all Christians put in one bag? Why does christian believe have to mean believing in hell? I am Christian and I study and believe in the Bible, but I don't believe that the Bible talks about a hell. Also, the Bible says that people not "knowing" God and his will are being considered, and why God let things happen the way they happen today, but also talks about changes for the future. What I got to know so far makes totally sense to me.

All of this is true if anyone really sits down and reads the bible for what it really is. 1 god is made up, that's what i think 2 he does not have all power or 3 he is evil. That is the only 3 things any sane person could come to and no matter which one of the 3 are true it tells us one thing, the god of the bible is not worth beliving in.
