  • Halford wasn't at his best this night. I've seen a couple of videos from this concert and I saw him in Sweden a year later and he was much better and sang all the high notes.

  • @kranen1 I saw him last night and he was amazing, but the videos from yesterdays concert don't really show it. So probably here is the same case :) Check out - Judas Priest Sofia rocks, the recordings have nothing to do with the real thing yesterday

  • Sin after sin is a great album!!!

  • Pretty loud for an amateur video :D !!! Good stuff!!

  • The comments about Rob's voice, really seem to miss the big picture. When Rob goes into the studio to record this, he goes in well rested and with his voice 100%. When you see him on tour, he has to belt this out night after night, city after city. I have been around touring rock for over 10 years. Almost any vocalist, regardless of age, can be found backstage eating cough drops and sitting next to a vaporizer. And, these people don't even have to hit Rob's notes.

  • Dude! were you ACTUALLY there?!

  • The most awesome Heavy Metal song EVER! Fucking Balls out metal. (on the album)

  • What's the matter Rob, can't hit those high-notes anymore?

  • @jonpaulmoen He might have had throat problems that night, he usually attempts the high notes at the least.

  • now it sound really heavy but with the normal tunning... you can imagine THIS

  • wow, judas priest is really from 67? they are so heavy.

  • This is a fantastic song from the early days but Rob isn't the singer he used to be back then, this song is absolutely out of his vocal range by now.

If they did a different arrangement maybe they would help Rob's performance.

  • Ok, so this isn't Robs best performance. So what? Since he got involved with Judas Priest in '70 or'71, the band has been paving the way for new avenues of metal and rocking. The fact that they still perform with the same energy is absolutely amazing. i became a fan in 1986 and have never looked back, always welcoming the changes and innovations that these guys make. I LOVE this song live, and hope an outstanding version comes out on DVD sometime soon.

  • This is worst performance I ever heard of this one... Bur when Priest begin tour, they first gig is like rehearsal. Next shows was incredible.

  • listen to Dissident Aggressor in " Live New York 2008 " great performance, Halford singing much better there.

  • It was great that they added many rare songs into their setlist on this tour. This one is my favourite from Sin After Sin.

  • christians suck.

  • @musiclistener105 WTF did you have to post that for you fuckin queerbag. Keep your religious views to yourself. Dick!!!

  • Halford has his good and bad nights. Only compared to his younger self does he get criticism. Compared to anyone else he still rules. He voice is much improved on the Nostradamus tour compared to the Retribution/Ozzfest tour of a few years ago.

  • I saw Priest on their last English tour and I have to be honest,Rob was struggling with the vocals so I don't know why this track has been included in the next tour On the original it was all about the high notes and because Rob can't do them any more it's not the same. They can't "adapt" every song to suit surely .

There was a strong rumour that when Halford left the band ,DC Cooper from Royal Hunt was going to be the vocalist ,now I wouldn't mind hearing that.

  • i saw them a couple months ago in Dallas, Tx. and Halford was awesome. ok so his voice cracked once during a different song, but even on the high notes of this song i couldn't hear a flaw. I love it that they even think about playing these old songs that...are surely a stretch in their older age. I look up to those types of bands that dont leave their old and awesome songs behind...even if they kinda suck. work for greatness even if your 90.

  • ☆☆☆☆☆

  • I think definetly his voice has changed, but I wouldn't say it was for the worst. I think its true to say that he can't hit the high notes as fequently as before but he still flashes every now and then some high screams. But I really think he's learned how to adapt and he sounds great and his stage presence is better than ever, he's definetly more masculine than in the past. Personally I take this Halford than the Halford of the past if I had to choose.

  • i would prefer the halford of the painkiller era, but this halford is still kik ass and better than alot of the oter "singers" and "artists"

and yes, i do thnk he is the best voice ever

  • Shame Rob can't reach the higher notes anymore

  • Tässä on selvästikin Priistin paras kappale!

  • Monster tune!

  • i still cannot believe they actually did this, my favorite priest tune!

  • are the metal gods!!!!!!

1970 - 2008 judas priest the best band ever!

  • I think they started in 1968. And they didn't end yet.

  • yes,judas priest is from 1967,but with halford,1970 or 1971 =)

    good bye my friend

judas priest the best band ever!

  • was at the jones beach show on the 10th and it killed, painkiller was fucking insane halford was amazing. Devils child and between the hammer and the anvil were my favs!!

  • EXCELLENT

  • dam, i didnt think this one would ever make it back. one of their most badass tunes. too bad he cant do the insane high notes anymore though

  • Funny you can hear the guy trying to hit the high notes...sounds funny...lol

  • The fucken phone can't handle the range you fool... it's a fucken cell phone for fuck sakes not proper recording equipment of course it can't handle Halford's vocals.

  • I'm talking about the dude that is recording the video dick face.

  • O.k. so I misunderstood your comment. No need to call me dick face. Does that make you feel real superior to me? US Military Eh? Speaks for itself.

  • Your the one that came at me vulgarly in the first place. Maybe you should act a little more mature to people and you want get such a negative response.

  • There is no doubt about that. Your comment did sound like you were shooting down Halford though...just saying. You didn't say the guy shooting the vid sounded funny (it's hard to tell sometimes on this media). Sorry about the rude comments one Priest fan to another.

  • Its all good.

  • US Military Blows, You Yankees Got Your heads way to far up your ass

  • Where do you get off calling me a Yankee you fucken dick swallower. I saw Priest before you were fucken born too, dick. Check who you are sending comments to before you click. You call yourself a Canadian and you attack a Canadian out of the blue who was defending Halford. Fuck you must be stupid. Lay off the meth and read a book once in a while. You must be a fucken paki or something.

  • Priestin paras kappale!

  • check the one live in athens, its much better with halfords screams all the way

  • He's older now. Can't scream. Okay. But this stuff should see an audience today. Tunes like this are the foundation of so much. GO BUY SIN AFTER SIN KIDDIES.

  • Like one brother already said "Long Live The Priest". Can't wait to see them on July 23rd. They should be in the rock and roll hall of fame!

  • I love this song. Awesome riff.

  • Good to see them dust this one off, it deserves the live treatment.

  • i fuckin love this song!!! im actually impressed that theyre eve playing this one...i hope they play dreamer deceiver/deceiver too...or some more songs from sin after sin or sad wings of destiny albums(wich for me are the greatest 2 though i love every single one of them except jugulator and demolition cause i dont like ripper owens, though he not being even close to halford,he actually did a great job)...

    Long Live the Priest!!!!!!

    PEACE

  • Amazing song! Extremely heavy, especially for being recorded in 1977.

  • absolutely!

Priest is the BEST METAL BAND EVA!!!

  • If you think Halford can't hit the notes anymore, thats crap. It would just take too much out of him and his voice to do so. This way the tour goes smoother with the high screams being more important. And guys be sure to buy the new album!

  • ZaNMaToSaN. What evidence have you that you think Rob can still manage the high notes?

    He can't. End of story.

  • unfortunately for us all, that's true, voice is an instrument that must be treated well.

  • I have evidence, saw them 2 months ago, Halford was on his A game, he was hitting the highest notes Ive ever heard on the end of Painkiller and Hell Patrol. So Fuck YOU

    END OF STORY

    FAGOT

  • ThrashAngelCorpse. Typical stupid Cunt.Hiding behind a computer. Come over to England and call me a fagot if you think you're hard enough.

  • Sure bloak we'll go have shepards pie and a pinte of O'Darby's finest champange with the knights of the round in King Arthurs Court.

  • ThrashAngelCorpse. What a fucking numpty.

  • Oralizer.. why dont you put a video of YOUR great voice on utube so we can hear how much better you are than Halford

  • everyone is forgetting it was opening night they had to get all the kinks worked out the first shows usually tend to be a little rocky halford rules he should quit from what im reading well let me ask those people a question would you rather have ripper or halford think about that if there was never a halford there would be no priest rob is the voice of priest and whether he sounds different or not thats just the way it is except it or dont

  • ofcourse i know hes gay, but thats all you can come up with, you still refuse my request to hear you sing anything metter, you cant so just you resort to that, just cause one person is gay doesnt mean i have to respect them all, halford keeps it to himself and i respect him for that. oralizer(of men) sing something and prove your any better other and if oyu cant shut up. who cares if he cant do the job dont pay to see him them its your right.

  • Halford is the main reason I've always liked Priest. I think he sings very well still. It's different than before, but his voice is very powerful in the lower range and his ability to convey real emotion is still untouched by other metal vocalists who sound like melodramatic pretenders (Ripper Owens anyone?).

  • your a douche go away

  • hey oralizer32, I have notice that you hate rob halford because I've seen comments from you in at least two videos of judad priest. and I ask myself about you: why this gay, sorry, guy watch videos of judas priest if he hates the singer??????????? why you hate so much halford??? he made you cry when he fucked you??????

  • haha great stuff, maybe he didnt cry cause he was fucked maybe halford said 'no your an ugly bitch' to him!!!

  • hahaha yeah!, oralizer32 isn't a metal brother like us, he is a rejected person by his family, rob halford and now by the metal brotherhood.

    so sad

  • oh,fuck him brothers of metal and enjoy the power of the metal gods!i can't wait to see them at july 9th at rockwave-hellas!search for videos next weeks to see the crazy fans of my country!!HAIL TO ALL WHO LOVES METAL!!!!!!

  • Rob has increasingly started to hit those high notes. In Bergen, june 8., he sang this song totally different. In general, he also sang very well.

  • Ive heard clips from the 2-3 shows that have followed, and the Metal God is improving with each show. Don't give up on Rob for an off night

  • Shut the fuck up 'oralizer'....Judas Priest is the best band ever.

  • go orlaize a homo, and while your at it prove that nostradamus was a fake...you cant

opinions do not equal proof asshole.

  • To ihatewarren25:

I like how you make homo jokes. Dont you know that Halford is gay? You are nothing but an ignorant ass. Now go get a dictionary and look up ignorant you stupid fuck!

  • i don't know what you guys are talking about he sounds awesome.

  • I hate when the people don't understand that rob has sung with high notes so many, so many, so many years and now he has 60 and it's really hard to match the voice he had when he was 20, like 40 YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG.....Rob is my fav. singer, but he can't sing the way he used too....Not even close. :(

  • yeah well i want my 5 seconds back for reading you pathetic comment, get a life and while your at it posts those vids of you singing this better! or are oyu too busy oralizing some guys?

  • the end vocals were awesome I'M BERLIINNNN so fucky loud :D

  • Sad Wings was one of the best albums of all time

  • So is Sin After Sin, the album this is from.

  • fuck you asshole, post some vids of you singing this better.

  • JUDAS PRIEST

comeback at the MONTERREY´s city in MEXICO????????

The metalmen regios we are waiting to JUDAS PRIEST here in MONTERREY,because we love the JUDAS PRIEST music´s.

  • Wow. Cannot believe they played this. I hope they do a proper UK tour!!

  • IM ON THE THIRD ROW !!! :)

  • me too but more on tipton side the gig was fucking amazing \ ,, /

  • "GRAND CANYONS! OF SPACE AND TIME UNIVERSAL!!!!" WOT A SONG, i agree, robs current style of singin really suits this

  • god im so jealous of anyone who saw this....

  • im still unfamiliar with judas priest but i have a couple of their albums and im really suprised that this is the first time they played this live. Their other songs must be amazing

  • great song, awesome setlist!

  • first time that they played this live EVER and i was there it fuckin kicked ass!!

  • This was awesome! This song works very well live with Halfords new way of singing it. Thanks a lot for uploading it.

  • they had better keep this and sinner in the set by the time they make it to canada, and i hope they drop devil's child for something off stained class like the title track or tyrant off sad wings....

  • How are you guys enjoying this when Halford isn't singing high at all? I'm glad it's not a typical setlist though.

  • I think it's still just as kick ass now as it was back when the band first recorded it. You've got to keep it in perspective too. It's very difficult to hit those super high notes at 60. Hell, not even Robert Plant can hit the notes in the Zep songs like he used too.

  • I'd rather have him sing this way than try to hit notes he can't reach anymore. It sounds good!

  • its the riff. 70's priest is just as heavy as anything else!

  • wow what a treat this song oh wow this is so kewel

  • I'm glad they dusted this one off!

  • AWESOME... thanks for sharing very greatful with these big news of Priest!!

  • Grand canyons of space and time universal

My mind is subjected to all

    Stab! Fight!

Hooks to my brain are well in

    Stab! bawl, punch, crawl

    I know what I am, I'm Berlin

THE BEAST THAT IS PRIEST IS BACK!!!

  • This song fuck*n rules!!! Hail the Priest!!!
