Thank you SO much for this video. It is a treasure to me. I see hope right in the middle of the 2 of them splashing away and teasing Faith and Lily. I can't thank you enough, Doc, Sue and all at the NABC for teaching me so much about black bears; a subject I never had any interest in before. It's simply amazing how very much I took to them and how very deeply embedded they became in my heart. I think the bear is my spirit animal and i couldn't have found a better family to teach me that!

This is amazing, Ive never seen an animal actually wash itself like this, but then Lily is no ordinary animal and her and her family continue to amaze me.

The only thing missing is our dear Hope, Lily's daughter and Faith' sister. Sadly she was taken from all of us who loved her , when she was shot by a hunter. Faith and Hope loved her dearly, especially Faith who had a very strong bond with her. Hope would not keep her radio collar on with the ribbons which probably would have prevented this horrible tragedy. See more on Facebook at the Lily The Black Bear page. @sherrywine1941- Lily was born January2007, Faith was born January 2011... Faith just lost her sister 'Hope' 2weeks ago to a hunting misfortune (Hope was born in January 2010)

this capture is brilliant! ...who would have ever thought a bear would be so engaged in bathing ...when her fur was laddened with water and slick against her skin Lily looked as though she's packed on the fat for her hibernation ...she is indeed well prepared for winter
