@ivegottaheadache. By reading your comment i would suggest the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. You said you watch videos alot so this phone is perfect for you as its the only phone currently on the market with a true HD screen 1280x720 and at 4.65 inches the screen is the best on a mobile device to watch videos. Also if you went with this phone you would have the benefit of having the latest Android software which no other device currently has. Hope this helped.

I need a new phone and am not the type of person to run out and by the latest cause I got bills to pay. However, looking to buy the BEST (and if something better comes out screw it). Motorola Razr, or Samsung Galaxy ii, or what's better than both? I just talk, text, check my email, watch videos allot. What's best for video streaming, viewing. I'm old and impatient fuck being slow. Any advice for a non techie. Iphone sucks ass; I need to put on bifocals to see any damn thing on that screen.

Same as our phones, the software isn't using the lga2011 hardware to it's full potential, it wasn't even setup to take advantage of the chipset w/only 1 pcie card, Tear downs all list my phone (droid 3, has dual channel RAM support) has a single 512meg ram chip, isn't this single channel?. Sounds stupid like something manufacturers would do, Newest qualcomm chip based on arm7 vs 1st gen omap4 based on ARM Cortex-A9 but obviously can't be cost cutting here so maybe htc's into a 3year w/qualcomm

@DavidDuchodca indeed, nothing more than video proof that quadrant is broken, like posted above etc. there are some great new benchmarks out there, this should be repeated with a few of them, search market for benchmark ....evo 3d is slower than the desire in clock speed, 1.2 ghz i think. need to use a benchmark that supports multi threads/cores i think but in the case of the desire it may actually be faster because of the clock speed. 1 core might add 2-6% difference on a benchmark for 32-45 nm

the fact that the razr finished with such an impressive lead alone should be enough to give it the top score, its finishing ~20 seconds ahead of the other phones and getting the lowest score? like wtf ... even if it was super quick(relative words, compared to the other 2 phones) on something the benchmark weighted low like memory card reads and really sucked on 3d rendering the end times wouldnt be that dramatic.

Out of the 3 beasts smart phone i own 2.. Lg thril 4g ans samsung galaxy s2.. both are super phones.. people dont care about the bench marks they are all grt phones and run anything smoothly.. Lg has 3d on top of it so i like it more... despite of that that s2 is slighly faster... but after android 2.3 update who knows lg may truimph as it has dual channel meory and architecture... enjoy.. Remember Lg thrill is still on android 2.2.. updates will make it super fast.. but when will they come..?

I see the scores.. but he started from left to right. The LG, Razr, S2. The Razr finished first, then the S2, then The LG. Wonder why that is? Does the program attempt more Frames per sec if it can, and then give a higher score.. Just wondering. I like the construction on the Razr. I tend to keep my phones and the water resistance is a plus for me. But that screen on the S2 is really nice.

You can clearly see that the Samsung Galaxy S II started last and managed to beat the Droid Razr. It also came out with the highest point. I get a normal score on my SGS2 between 3300 to 3500. I have yet to test out the HTC Sensation. My other Samsung Vibrant scored an easy 3000 to 3200 and its on froyo. SMH on the Droid Razr.

I have a question. It was clear that the Razr start the test first, so, one can think its a faster CPU, but the score wasnt the highest. Why is that? Faster to process, but not high score?

@arbri135 Thx for the replay!! So, if i am not intrested in play games in the phone, it not very important, right? Coz, for what i saw, the Droid process faster, and use the net faster too. So, in the case that i want the phone for make and recive calls, use de apps and other work relative aplications, widgets and surfing the net, check mails and social networks.......then the Droid will be a better phone for me than the Galaxy, right?

@arbri135 Either of them. I tried the Atrix a few months ago and i REALLY like it. Very powerfull, but, even when i dont like the over saturated amoled screen, i would prefer a good amoled on it. And, as the Atrix was the first dual core with 1gb ram, its seem to me that the Atrix 2 or the Razr was the right way to go and the Razr have an amoled screen, but the Galaxy S2 come with a lot on the table to compete (i dont like the Iphone, so i dont even consider them) Sorry for my english

@slapuhho if over clocking would have been safe motorola would have done it already.. but its not i am a software engineer.. if know it can brick ur phone easily... But having custom roms is good.. as its just faster software with bugs.. manufacturer releases updates late....Droid razr is super phone.. but all the three in this video are at par... i own 2 of these...all are super phones u will never have any complaint with nay of these :)

I saw someone else run a bench on the Droid Razr and the score was over 2700. I guess there are different factors in performance.

@Illmatic662 There's something obviously wrong with the benchmark, the razr was sitting there for ~30 seconds done while waiting for the other 2 phones to catch up and didn't get top score? Quadrant is obviously epic fail.

@realwillis111 I/O may be faster ... also there is a test of SD card so that may be the reason ... but unfortunately you are right for example my EVO 3D is fast as hell but gets around 2K score. And to compare it to prove that it is a fail is that HTC Desire HD on single core overclocked to 1.5 GHZ gets even bigger score. So I dont care too much about the benchmarks
