I don't mind it, as long as the remake is well made and not the EXACT same movie as before...kinda likea reboot almost. I think those can be fun, though of course we want original content too. Problem was that the first live action Transformers was good and the second one was crap, and I even know its because of the problems they had behind the scenes for that one. Its why the writers for the first two movies went to the cartoon series Prime.

This video made me think of last weekend. I went and saw Star Trek which was a good action film. I'm not a Star Trek fan but it was a decent film. HOWEVER, before the movie I witnessed my childhood being &@#$% upon by Hollywood. G.I. JOE, Transformers 2, then Land of the Lost. Each one was worse than the one before it. It was a sad, sad series of previews. This song is the anthem I needed to hear that night.

Have to agree with you on this one. People have gotten to be really lazy but more than that, people have become really accepting of that laziness. Though these remakes may have some great special effects that are fun and awesome to look at, we need to refocus on the art of storytelling, including the actual story. Let's bring back the movies that surprised us because it showed how creative, beautiful, and talented people can be.
