It looks like they use robots now in the those big German factories instead of forced labor. My grandfather worked for BMW in the early 40s and said they had thousands of forced workers but that many of them had limited skills and didn't know what to do. He said the BMW factories operated 24hrs/day 7/days week. He still gets pension checks from BMW AG.
Well most of thier designs lol, but some of the stuff like the damn window regulators and sunroof in my car are not of lesser quality just poor design in my opinion. Compared to most car companies though, BMW is bang for the buck esp. considering the engines they put in these cars
not really, i personally dont like bmws only due to the fact that each series is just a smaller one of the other, ie...3 series is the same as the 7, interior is just the same, looks are the same, just smaller then then 7, my dad buys bmws only and i keep on giving him crap about it, i'm a lexus guy...i wouldn't get anything else other then a lexus, but i do give bmw props...sick motors and transmissions man do they take a beating. only bmw i'd get is an m6 but eh, rather have a lexus :)
I understand where youre coming from with the newer generations. All of the interiors look tha same and Im not a big fan of them. Ill stick to the E46 generation for awhile until they make some design changes and I love the inline 6 in these cars. However the engines in the new cars are awesome, and lexus is a great car, but Im not out to drive slow and look good rather I enjoy driving and feeling the thrill of running quickly through back roads and such. Thats what puts a smile on my face
