I concur with you. This reminds me of the "Parable of the River and What Organizing is Not" and the fact that the villagers perilous feats to save the babies from drowning was futile because they were not focusing on the source of the problem: where the hell were all the babies coming from? Instead of teaching students to bury their orientation and instilling fear into their minds these institutions should lean more toward an equal and humanitarian standpoint.

The battle for civil rights has taken the lives of many good people, black, white, Latino, Asian, and now, gay. I concur with you. This reminds me of the "Parable of the River and What Organizing is Not" and the fact that the villagers perilous feats to save the babies from drowning was futile because they were not focusing on the source of the problem: where the hell were all the babies coming from? Instead of teaching students to bury their orientation and instilling fear into their minds these institutions should lean more toward an equal and humanitarian standpoint.
