  • Oh God, Freddie, how I miss you!!! What a beautiful voice!!! Incredible! Unfortunately Brian spoiled it a bit. But Freddie will always be Love Of many Lives! Right, brothers and sisters? :)

  • Had the pleasure of seeing Queen in 1978 in St Louis. Freddie had a God-given Gift that he shared with the world. Then God called to him. Fortunatley we have videos and recording to remind us how talented he really was.

  • Me and how many more is Freddie love of our lifes?

  • 35 years ago i was therei was only 12 saw them 5 times most amazing band ever! freddie i will lovey our voice till i die no one ever will touch me like you did!

  • he had the voice of an angel.

  • Don't compare Michael Jackson to Freddie because Michael wasn't brilliant singer, and he was famous because of his dance. Freddie is absolutly fenomenal singer, keyboard player, and front-man. If Jackson won't dance, he won't be famous, if Freddie won't be fantastic front-man, he would still be brilliant singer and keyboard player.

    Thank you !

  • @9danielos5 Whoa, wait a minute.. Michael Jackson was a great singer aswell, he just wasn't as good of a singer as Freddie was. Ha, no one was, is or ever will be.

  • @9danielos5 if you really think MJ wasn't a great singer and was only famous for dancing, you have got to be kidding yourself. A case could definitely be made that MJ was the most talented performer of the 20th century. Michael couldn't sing like Freddie and Freddie can't sing like Michael. Doesn't subtract from either one, because they both were the best at what only THEY were able to do. Check out MJ's "Whose Loving You" cover if you really need some evidence of MJ's singing ability.

  • CUANTOS RECUERDOS DE MI VIDA CON EL AMOR DE MI VIDA

  • Parece que soy el único Español en el foro, esta es mi canción preferida, la siento mia.

  • Is this the best Love of my Life live?

  • @thugthumper.. this song was written for a woman.. the love of his life.. the woman he left almost everything to. Mary Austin.

  • @ARoseMorninStar

Thank goodness she had at least 1 shortcomming.... else we might not have such Freddie!

Sounds greedy but true... withou that "1" we arent here talking.

  • When was Night at the Opera? You can see, that Brian is just getting his way into this. Freddie is spot on - it was his song after all. They would improve this song over the course of time. It's a beauty.

  • I wonder if he was nervous. This was one of the first times they performed this one

  • Says it all really xxx

  • Fascinating to see this early live version when they're still tentatively feeling their way through it - you can tell from Brian's introduction "well, we're gonna have crack at this, see if you like it". Not long after they had a crowd of 300,000 singing it back at them. I know you shouldn't compare in music, but BEST BAND EVER. Four good friends who could mow down a stadium whenever they felt like it.

  • <3

  • Such feeling... a deeply talented person and a beautiful and I think tortured soul. What a voice.

  • @thugthumper1 SHut the fuck up immature.

  • @Ikeisbo Immature?????? I just stated a FACT. The fact is that Freddie's attraction to other men directly caused his demise. Don't be such a douchebag. Yes, he had a wonderful voice. I saw him in the 70's, so I am an OLD IMMATURE MOTHERFUCKER!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! get over it!! By the way, I love women!! I stay away from men's assholes, HAHAHA!!! How about you?

  • @thugthumper1 look man... who cares what hole he stuck it in?

  • @whatintheghetto79 You are right. Discussing it ad infinitum won't bring him back. Perhaps it will keep potential ass pluggers out there happy with their hands instead. Just saying............

  • @Ikeisbo Sorry bro, haha i wish i could see them live especially at Newcastle ect.

  • Farrokh Bulsara...perfect voice, classically trained on the piano, songwriter, designed Queens logo......collector of Japanese art..Beautiful,shy sweet and yes ...sexy... part of something so perfect. Brian May guitar master brilliant song writter, Roger Taylor great on drums and that falsetto John Deacon wrote some of Queen's most memorible songs and amazing bass player.. I miss your presence Freddie Mercury..I admire how you lived...and died on your terms...Glad I got to see Queen LIVE!

  • fuckxxxx pharma killed him

  • wow, where did music like this go seriously? It is not playing on the radio or on american idol. Its like this music is crafted like a ferrari whereas music from gaga, anti-bellum and buckcherry are the equivalent of the being served items from the 99 cent menu at a del taco or burger king. Where the hell are the freddie mercurys' and brian mays' of the world? They dissappeared I guess.

  • uffffffff muy magico !!!!!

  • Brian ♥

  • I like this version, how guitar sounds is just amazing

btw I love Brian's voice, so sweet

  • the best Queen's classic

  • hearing this,i missed olivia de los santos!!

  • freddie is my hero :)

  • Потрясающе. Голос Фредди!!! Удивительной красоты тембр!!!

  • обожаю эту песню

  • @zephranna01 no, fredde mercury created the universe

  • Freddie Mercury did not die. He went to heaven to give God vocal lessons.

  • old video but still good great song

  • @oralboytoy Its just not right to compare Freddie to others like that, he can hit notes high if he wants and it's hard to do it in concert, if you truly have listened to queen you'll be able to see that he has a wonderful voice

  • Axl has NO RANGE?!!! You're a dumbass! watch?v=D3Dva-fWXf8&feature=related You think you're in a position to argue when you know nothing about vocalists besides Mercury. The one time he attempted a truly challenging song with REAL high notes (not falsetto), he failed miserably: watch?v=YBFE-Jm3zbE Don't argue about vocalists when you don't really know rock. You're just a fan of one band.

  • @oralboytoy watch?v=IoYz9ZT6AGU&feature=related go suck it please see what freddie can do please stop typing shit

  • @santillica You just don't get it. These notes are FALSETTO. They do not count as range and anyone can hit them. Research the difference. Freddie Mercury has no real range either in head voice or chest voice. That entire video just supplements my point, and I've already seen it by the way.

  • @oralboytoy Are you basing Freddie's voice on this performance only? or have you listened to things like March of the black Queen, Lilly of the valley, Nevermore and so much more?

  • @exc123 That's impressive, yes, but how many live performances of those astonishing works can you cite? Maybe they weren't performed live because the vocals were too tough for Freddie. After all, hitting notes in a studio isn't that difficult when you can spend as much time conditioning and re-doing each part. In fact, I've never really heard Freddie hit high notes in concerts. Axl can: watch?v=vGYOU-nxjQI [seek 3:20] & watch?v=g_enNmzWn6Y [whole video]. Show live material to contest that.

  • @oralboytoy Absolutely I agree Freddie reserved his voice when singing live because he had polyps and would strain his voice if he hit the highs night after night. But yes he did hit them in the studio. i do not agree with you that he had to condition anything or it was easier, it's just that he didn't have to do it again and again and he could let lose in the studio, which is why I think he's great, but if you are basing your opinion on live performances, he would not hit the highs I agree.

  • Freddie Mercury has over 3 octaves in full voice. He's gone down to a C2 in an interview, he's sung F2, and his highest full voice note is an F5. His falsetto range went up to F6. As for Freddie singing live, he was conservative with his voice (he had nodules since 1975), but there is proof of him replicating his studio vocals live, and he's sung notes such as B4, C5-D5 live!

Take a look at my Queen bootlegs channel! XD

  • @Gregsynthbootlegs i couldn't agree more. Plus even if he didn't hit all the C5s he still sung beautiful. It's a far stretch to say he didn't hit all his highs live to he is a terrible singer. Great post and response.

  • Plus range doesn't mean anything for being a good singer: Look at Frank Sinatra--he's doesn't have a big range, but he has an awesome voice. Then you get crap like Nicola Sedda (who all he does is whistle into the 8th octave).

  • @Gregsynthbootlegs Frank Sinatra, great voice? He looked good and had a wonderfull marketing team, I find his voice rather mediocre. I know the songs are very pleasant to hear, but there is nothing awesome about his voice.

  • Well, he wasn't the most technical singer, but he had a (in my opinion) a nice-sounding voice.

  • @Gregsynthbootlegs not techical?, listened to the older versions of this song? maybe live in montreal..or all the songs with montserrat. he became almost an opera singer in his last living days

  • Oh, I know Freddie's great as a technical singer--I was just saying that Frank Sinatra had a great voice (though he wasn't the most technical singer).

  • @Gregsynthbootlegs yes sinatra was a great baritone. but I dont recommend to compare such different singers.

  • You're right, they are apples and oranges.

  • @Gregsynthbootlegs I'd be VERY interested to hear that, but I'm skeptical. Can you give me a link or video title?

  • Sure. Since the comments don't allow links, I'll send you message with some links. It's going to take a couple minutes (I'm making a small list).

  • I just sent you 4 links of Freddie's live vocals!

  • He's not a great singer! There are hundreds of rock singers with more range (falsetto or otherwise) pitch control and note maintainence. Ian Gillan for example, or Michael Matijevic or Rob Halford or Axl Rose. Freddie's nothing compared to them. He's only got falsetto and fails to reach any real high notes.

  • @oralboytoy How dare you even fucking compare Freddie to Axl Rose are you kidding me?

You obviously don't know anything about Freddie AT ALL! Go oral yourself and listen to his records

  • @sbrave I have every queen album and have heard every song in full. I'm a big fan, so I know what he's capable of. He's a great front man, but in the rock world, his singing is still unimpressive. I forgot David Lee Roth too.

  • @oralboytoy David Lee Roth vs Freddie Mercury? You should be beaten! He was never a Halford shrieking type singer, and I love Halford and similar, but Freddie had real range, and talent like a motherf'r! As far as the Rock world? What would would you call Queen, R&B? You don't know...lol All those screwballs fro the 80's don't even come close to Freddie....the man is a legend, Axl is a poser loser with no range at all! Please dude!

  • greatest singer and greatest guitarist all in one band. RIP Freddie, hope Brian live forever

  • best love song ever, Bravo Darling

  • His voice gives me a warm feeling. You don't get that anymore.

  • freddie is number 1 the best singer song writer that there ever was......

  • I love you Briiii !!! I love you Freddieee !! I love you Rogeeeer! I love you Joooohn! :D

  • Mikal Jackass totally sucks ass.

  • warning: theres a desease, spreading in YT called..FMOD(Freddie Mercury Obsession Deficiency)..its contagious...Im a carrier for 35 yrs now and proud of it

  • @fmarsong me too me too ..been a fan of theirs for about 34yrs

  • @fmarsong There's also one called BMOD (Brian May Obsession Defifiency), one called RTOD (Roger Taylor Obsession Deficiency) and another one that is called JDOD (John Deacon Obsession Deficiency). They are a bit less contagious, but they all make you equally proud to be carriers :)

  • @fmarsong Freddie is a fantastic singer, but I cant keep my eyes off of Brians guitar playing, so beautiful!!

  • @fmarsong I suffer from Mercurylitis and my doc said there is no cure! Im incurable and need to take queencillin for the rest of my life. Yummy!

  • Funny how early on this live version of LOML did not go over so well but later it was one of the favorites in concert. It's always been one of my favs whether it was the studio version with the piano OR the acoustic. Pure Freddie all the way!

  • Fuck!!! I LIKE IT <3

  • Oh, Freddie...the world is poorer without you.

  • I like this thing he had on his body xd

  • I LOVE FREDDIE. SO MUCH THAT SOMETIMES MY PARENTS TELL ME THAT IF FREDDIE WOULD KNOW THAT SOMEONE LOVED HIM SO MUCH 20 YEARS LATER AFTER HIS DEAD HE WOULD NEVER DIED! i love you freddie

  • i love Freddie but he had such horrible sense of fashion

  • I think i like it better with the piano and harp like on the album better but freddie saved it from sucking

  • Time travel will be invented by some Queen fan just so they can go back and see Freddie and the boys play any concert in their great career...

  • piango. <3

    R.I.P.

  • grandissimi...

  • I love this song!

  • this is the best version of love of my life that I've heard, even though the audience seems to be really quiet

  • i wish i was 21 years old in 80's.

  • @gotoganesh2002 I WAS 21 years old in the 80s... still unfortunately didn't get to see Queen live. Best song ever, most incredible voice, no match to it.

  • Love of my life is the Song of my life.. Amazing...

  • This was the first time they played Love of my life, wasn´t it?

  • Miss him... :-/

  • R.I.P. FREDDIE!!!!

  • it's a nice performance, but I have to say that May performed much better in 1989, at Wembley? What do you think about it?

  • @1994FK1 I'm sorry, in 1986

  • Wembley 1986?

take a look at queen in brazil

    1981(first concert) 1985(Rock in Rio) and 2008(Queen + PR)

    that's a huge performace!!!!

  • sao paulo in 81 is a truely awesome moment!

  • @1994FK1

    you mean 1986?

  • @marvinp01 I mean 1986, have I written 1989? Oh, sorry ^^

  • @1994FK1 86

  • прекрасно!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • when I dream, I dream I can play like May

  • the best of the best

  • I'm a big fan of Queen (my all time favourite) but I hav to agree: Beatles did break many of the rules, and rolling stone would be the second that had more importance (and I dont like them very much, this is how objective I'm trying to be ;-) ... and in this objective top 3, queen are n3 ... but to me personally n1, by far

  • Thanks, Freddie, forever in this world!

  • @Sandribsas The man should still be here as should Elvis. The life they could have had, Great song though.

  • Comment removed

  • untouchables.

  • Queen better than the beatles though i love them both just the musical talent in queen just on another scale.

  • Of course!

  • A.

    MA.

    ZING.

  • I wish I could have seen them in concert.

    Rest in peace, Freddie.

  • FREDDIE DIED FROM SHEER VOCAL OVERWHELMING POWER!!! not from aids..

  • love of my life don't leave me

  • @kalen486..u came here at Queen site and talk somebody else?comparing Queen?..you are just trying to provoke us nonsense

  • trying to answer someones question from the past

  • I was there. This was the first time I saw them live. I didn't think they could pull off the songs live without a huge back up crew. Man, did I eat those words. I saw them 4 more times. Awesome every time. This one was beautiful in person and 39 acoustic and a couple of others been a long time. One of the best live acts ever. There are several acts whose concerts are better than records but they are all from my time, no faking.

  • my life. have reach its deepest hole. It have no meaning, no reason. How is this possible, a song that reflects. everything that i want to tell my love. Thank you Freddie.

  • young freddie!!!!!!!!

  • A Night At The Opera is the greatest Album ever made.

  • I agree with you. When I see those top lists with Madonna, Britney, and I do not see that album...The rolling stones magazine makes lists, but fakes, only. They put what some managers ask them to put, i.e., who pays more!

  • PORRA MANO, VC É BRASILEIRO? AUHAUHAUHA

Feliz Ano Novo meu querido! auhauhauhauha

A Night At The Opera é o que há!

  • Feliz ano novo, abraço.

  • @kalen486 why would you write that??

  • SkaaroVideos you are ABSOLUTELY right. God bless you (Michael would say that) :))))))))

  • only freddie mercury could make that outfit look so damn epic.

  • The best artists in the world:

    Michael Jackson

    Freddie Mercury

  • absolutely agree with that

  • @SkaaroVideos Excuse me, Freddy was an ARTIST he made ART; Michael Jackson was a Pop Singer, he sold discs. Please don't make that kind of comparisons...

  • @Pirogotcha Yeah???????a pop singer tell me a michael's song that was pop his genre was SOUL,RYTHM N BLUES e.t.c...

Beatles was a pop group u mean that they were only sold discs?Dont compare old pop with the crappy new pop that justin bieber;gaga e.t.c destroying music

  • @SkaaroVideos - MJ doesn't compare to Freddy...

  • @bizarrebob I REALLY DO KNOW JUST TWO OTHERS WHO ARE EQUAL TO FREDDIE: ELTON JOHN, JOHN LENNON. NO BOB DYLON, NO MICHAEAL JACKSON, NO MADONNA, NO ABBA...

  • @bizarrebob yeah because they are different ! people like you just suck !

  • @bizarrebob they are both amazing...

  • @SkaaroVideos No way. Michael Jackson is overrated as an artist. Freddie Mercury might have to best vocals of all time but no.

  • @poodleone haha overrated what a fuckhead you are!

  • @SkaaroVideos agree 100%

  • Live Queen = Better & Better

  • studio version is one of most beautiful songs in history, by anyone.

  • For those who do not have "Night at the opera" this is one of the most beautiful songs of all time. The original stuio is nothing like the stadium sing along it would become.

This is not a bad version live but the studio version with the great piano and harp is mind blowing.

  • realmente increibleeee!!!!!fantastico freddie!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Freddie Mercury is soooo amazing!!!!!!! im only 22 but i wish i was alive and went to see Queen when Freddie was alive :( Brian May is my idol he is an amazing guitarist and saw him 2 years ago at Wembley. Miss you Freddie
