  • ...perfetta!!!...bravo...*****

  • ARGH the presto is killing me TT.TT I can't seem to play it properly DX

  • I can't help it but I listen to this piece several times everyday.

The best version I heard anywhere and for the pleasure you have brought us thank you Mr. Erez

  • This is the sound of my heart's wound

Though my heart's wound is a loving scar

    Which embraces the world

The first time I heard it I was shocked and stunned

Today I hear it silently staring the infinite

  • 26 people are dont have technique for this piece so Get a life!

  • I've always imagined a figure skater dancing passionably to this... well something like that anyway.

  • @duoweiyang Passionably is not a word.

  • they should put 8:00 in a horror movie scene where like 16 people get killed in a row and it would be so fucked up

  • 26 people don't know what real music is

  • 8:10 arguably the best piece one has ever created

  • Love this pice, thank Tzvi Erez

  • Stop switching to the dude's face! I wanna learn how to play this!

  • Beautiful! I played a bit of Chopin inn my piano playing days. What EVER possesses people who don't like classical music to come to a video like this and say DISLIKE? Oh wait I know! Angry immature people who are so full of hate and resentment they feel better when they [think] they can upset others. I pity them as I get a LOT of satisfaction and warmth from reading all the love messages here! Thank you, adults.

  • This song contains awesomeness of epic proportions! It blows my mind away every time I listen to it - especially from 5:30-end

  • Such a gorgeous piece!

  • ¡canción tan mas hermosa!

  • amazing talent

  • Just heavenly, the best part of the song is at 1:59 ... great job!

  • @funkymunkykisses I like that part too

  • Looks like a 280 Bosendorfer. Beautiful sound....

  • Love.

  • O M F G !!!

  • 1:25 A fly enters the room.

2:00 Fly nears Chopin's piano. He's getting frustrated.

2:40 Fly leaves the piano area. Chopin calms down.

4:50 Chopin is pleasantly convinced the fly left the room.

7:30 Chopin barely sees the fly re-enter the room out of the corner of his eye.

7:45 Fly furiously buzzes around Chopin's head.

8:00 Fly lands on Chopin's forehead and Chopin finally snaps.

9:25 The fly drops dead due to the overwhelming amount of awesome.

Naw, I kid, I really do love this piece. =)

  • @TheTesnah this should be called the annoying fly ballade lol

  • I don't really care about thumb's up or down... I care about music and feeling

  • Thumbs up if you think no one on earth will ever create, compose, write something like this. there's no capable brain.

  • When the melody can take everyone to different places that just they can go, it's just beautiful.

  • i hope i'll learn this piece before i die

  • Classical music......it's so bitter-sweet. Bitter in that it brings up emotions of repressed memories and forgotten pasts. Sweet in that those very memories it brings, are showered with and everlasting water of both forgiveness, compassion, and love.

  • @triggerman652 Esta melodía exorciza el dolor y reconcilia con la vida.

  • 2:00 <3

  • @MostazaLopez me too! i love how it builds up from 2:00 onwards

  • a long masterpiece but i not bored to hear this

  • oh fuck, i do want that bösendorfer

  • I started this a couple months ago and god, it's so beautiful; I can't even...I mean, beautiful isn't a grand enough word for it. Chopin was genius. An absolute GENIUS. If there's one person I'd love to meet (even though it's never gonna happen :c), it'd be him <3

  • So good to hear sometimes something completely different than usual...

  • Smile and thumbs up if actually listening to Chopin brought you here :)

  • @untipdincta same! apparently this is from the pianist lol, but i just decided to look up chopin.. so glad to be brought to this channel..

  • How could someone make such a beautiful piece, Thumbs up if you already know how to play this masterpiece. Haha, I'm only going to get like 3.

  • @TheSpiffyCast You've got my thumbs-up.

  • @TheSpiffyCast I wish! Maybe after ten years of practice. X3

  • @TheSpiffyCast im the 3rd thumb up ironicaly lol

  • Im playing this in moment what a masterpiece!!!!

  • Im playing this in moment wow what a masterpiece!!!!

  • Im playing this in moment ... wow what a masterpiece!!!!

  • marvellous

  • It was great playing. I feel that some areas require some more rubato feeling. But that's just me. Excellent!

  • I've listened to different people play this ballade and he plays this with such passion I am overwhelmed. Mr. Erez there are things in this world that are so beautiful that words cannot express it and this is one of these.

  • I really appreciate the way he plays, because we can feel the constant care of making each single not clearly sing even in rapid mouvements, and the respect of the original staff as written by the genius composer.

Great respect for the player Tzvi Erez and limitless admiration for the composer...

Hope F. Chopin can listen to all the pianist playing his pieces around the world since such a long time, and appreciate the pleasure he gives to the generations until now and for long time again.

  • Beiber is better...I'm sorry, I couldn't type that with a straight face!

  • Fantastic! Just brilliant!

  • Man U nailed it. Beautifulllllllllllllllllll

  • There're some people, who would even dislike it if Chopin himself played this piece... -.-

  • @KiyoshiRan such as?

  • This ballade makes me proud to be human, and im usually a misanthrope.

  • it's funny he has all the notes in his memory... 9:35 minutes of music. i can't even remember notes of a 3 min. song. this guy is like awesome.

  • 16 fans of Justin Bieber

  • genialna opowieść, niesamowite zwroty akcji, rozbraja mnie ten kawałek!!!

  • I prefer the interpretations of Biret or Licad.

  • very , very perfect perf and ....

    too hard to say ...

  • Really fantastic interpretation of one of my favourite pieces =)

  • I think I cry just about every single time I hear this piece. Chopin's works are the pinnacle of Romantic pianism.

  • 8:07 Holy shit.

  • This piece is one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.

  • To me this is probably the single best piece of music written.

  • ♫ ESTA CANCIÓN LE SALVO LA VIDA A WLADYSLAW SZPILMAN ♫

  • The first 1:50 or so lend themselves very well to a variation using a swing beat. Though it may upset the purists.

  • @just1bloke unfortunately that wouldn't be a very good performance

  • Chopin beats everybody.

  • La primera parte es la mejor!

  • 4:48 --> best part

  • Can't get enough of that little dance passage at 8:10 !!!

  • it probably took months to to compose this and even longer to learn it

  • @TheMega12121

It's taken me an entire month to get the first page/first 2 minutes down.

  • Wait 172.022 Views.. Wtf Is This Showing Only My Views ;)

  • I came.

  • Smile and thumbs up if The Pianist brought you here :)

  • @clockworkreview The Pianist didn't bring me here, my love for Chopin's music brought me here.

  • Is it weird of me to play Counter-Strike source while listening to this?

  • does anybody know the rcm level of this song?? i'm thinking 10 or ARCT.........

  • @Jennnnnnish serious? no, its a grade 1 music.

  • Just 1:58!

  • Esto no parece una balada.

  • Ballade No. 1 is my favourite piece by Chopin, because the music goes straight into my heart.

  • amazing !!!

  • amazing !

  • his tempo is slower than other interpretations..... i like it how he has his own idea... in particulars the quality of the video and the close up of the hands..... thank you for uploading!!!!

  • love the passage at 4:50 !! WHAT A ROMANTIC CHOPIN WAS !!!

  • He hits the piano a little too much a some moments i think, but it's perfect :')

  • i wonder how bored chopin was when he wrote this...

  • the only thing I don't like about this vintage bosendorfer is that the decay seems particularly fast...explanation? ....piano tech experts?

  • @retrogamerdave It's the moment right after he strikes the notes which decays fast I think, other than that it seems to linger for quite a long time. Regardless it's that quality which makes it recognizable as a vintage :)

  • :O Woow! *looses all confidence* So amazing!!! Amazing..

  • wow what a truly incredible piece! inspires me to pick up the piano!

  • What a genious!

  • amazingly talented pianist

  • Absoloutley superb performance - defiantly buying your album. When I'm listening to Chopin, I often sit and wonder, what what through his head? How did he compose such elaborate and beautiful melodies? He was an absolute genius (That's an understatement). I wish he had lived longer, I wonder what other piece he had inside him.

  • @losinggrip1993 Chopin's initial compositional process began with improvisation. The only problem is that he had trouble remembering exactly how he improvised, so he would spend hours trying to reproduce what he had just improvised. Granted, many of his compositions took years to finish, but improv was a big part of his process.

  • Orgasmic!

  • wow! the very beginning i was like wow!

  • how strong can be the scale of ignorance in someone's mind and soul to dislike this masterpiece???

  • @MrLorinb probably the same people who despise history and so are doomed to repeat it. 'tis a sad thing indeed.

  • @MrLorinb Well, that's just 17 reasons to use a condom.

  • Not bad. I just played this in the morning before breakfast. Not bad.

  • YEYEYE I can definitely play this!! I was even playing it at a much faster pace with much more clarity and superiority! Or something like that...

    And them I woke up!

  • this is amazing! he is so underrated.

  • Nimble fingers, inspired soul

  • His wife must be a happy woman

  • @MrJubbadahut no, all good pianists are gay

  • I could watch 8:10 til the end over and over again... (as a matter of fact, I have lol)...

  • Close like the Horowitz Interpretation..

  • @Centaury666 horowitz interpreation is not that fantastic. the best i've heard is on a cheap CD by Peter Schmalfuss

  • SO so .. Close like the Horowitz Interpretation..
