Beautiful! I played a bit of Chopin inn my piano playing days. What EVER possesses people who don't like classical music to come to a video like this and say DISLIKE? Oh wait I know! Angry immature people who are so full of hate and resentment they feel better when they [think] they can upset others. I pity them as I get a LOT of satisfaction and warmth from reading all the love messages here! Thank you, adults.
i told my friend i wrote this and she actually believed me..i've never met someone that idiotic in my life :s beautiful piece though...one day in the far FAR future i would like to play it..
If i will ever get a performance piano and its not a steinway, im pretty sure it will be this exact bosendorfer...i love the way it sounds, especially the lower notes
@dude44213 I always began singing that part from Nightmare Before Chrsitmas in my head when that exact part came. ♪♫And sit togeeeetheeeer, Now and foreeeeveeer♫♪
Classical music......it's so bitter-sweet. Bitter in that it brings up emotions of repressed memories and forgotten pasts. Sweet in that those very memories it brings, are showered with and everlasting water of both forgiveness, compassion, and love.
I started this a couple months ago and god, it's so beautiful; I can't even...I mean, beautiful isn't a grand enough word for it. Chopin was genius. An absolute GENIUS. If there's one person I'd love to meet (even though it's never gonna happen :c), it'd be him <3
I've listened to different people play this ballade and he plays this with such passion I am overwhelmed. Mr. Erez there are things in this world that are so beautiful that words cannot express it and this is one of these.
I really appreciate the way he plays, because we can feel the constant care of making each single not clearly sing even in rapid mouvements, and the respect of the original staff as written by the genius composer.
Great respect for the player Tzvi Erez and limitless admiration for the composer...
Hope F. Chopin can listen to all the pianist playing his pieces around the world since such a long time, and appreciate the pleasure he gives to the generations until now and for long time again.
his tempo is slower than other interpretations..... i like it how he has his own idea... in particulars the quality of the video and the close up of the hands..... thank you for uploading!!!!
@retrogamerdave It's the moment right after he strikes the notes which decays fast I think, other than that it seems to linger for quite a long time. Regardless it's that quality which makes it recognizable as a vintage :)
Absoloutley superb performance - defiantly buying your album. When I'm listening to Chopin, I often sit and wonder, what what through his head? How did he compose such elaborate and beautiful melodies? He was an absolute genius (That's an understatement). I wish he had lived longer, I wonder what other piece he had inside him.
@losinggrip1993 Chopin's initial compositional process began with improvisation. The only problem is that he had trouble remembering exactly how he improvised, so he would spend hours trying to reproduce what he had just improvised. Granted, many of his compositions took years to finish, but improv was a big part of his process.
this sounds like reading his diary

1:25 A fly enters the room.
2:00 Fly nears Chopin's piano. He's getting frustrated.
2:40 Fly leaves the piano area. Chopin calms down.
4:50 Chopin is pleasantly convinced the fly left the room.
7:30 Chopin barely sees the fly re-enter the room out of the corner of his eye.
7:45 Fly furiously buzzes around Chopin's head.
8:00 Fly lands on Chopin's forehead and Chopin finally snaps.
9:25 The fly drops dead due to the overwhelming amount of awesome.
Naw, I kid, I really do love this piece. =)
