Not that I think shows shouldn't educate young people about those issues--they absolutely should--but the writing was so heavy handed and ridiculous much of the time. Series creator Brenda Hampton is the same person who worked on "Blossom" and currently, "Secret Life of the American Teenager".

These are corny because they're the scenes that are actually meant to be funny, but they're not.

Haha, I remember that episode. I believe it had something to do with Mary saying that she will either tell the one guy that Lucy likes him or that she was gonna take the guys she likes. Either way when aren't lucy or mary fighting/arguing

They were fighting because mary was moping over being on crutches and lucy was moping over a boy. They thought eachothers reason for being so depressed was stupid and they had been getting on eachothers nerves all week so they just lost their tempers.

That's the one where Kevin has the gun in the house and everyone is up all night. Matt and Simon are home and Simon thinks he might have an STD. Eric makes Kevin put the gun in his car. Martin comes down with a bat thinking it's an intruder and then Eric comes in with a frying pan
