  • HighSchoolHop--Laura Lamar High School--what a great school--in one of the most best places in America...I attended further education at Lebanon Valley

College in Annville PA....near Lebanon, PA...

  • Glorious.

  • It sure is :)

  • We`re glad to hear it.!! We do too!

  • One of the best songs from 1960. It was a great time to grow up here in a small town in western Pa.

I was a member of the Laura Lamar High School class of 1964. Laura Lamar High School was located in Homer City, PA.

  • WoW!! The best version evar!

  • Very true!!

  • Best version of this song, hands down!

  • We agree!!

  • I was 11 when this was cut. Remember it then and remember it now!

    Best rendition I've ever heard.

  • We agree. There are so many versions of this song but this is a cut above the rest. Although we rate the version by the British band Matchbox highly.

  • Fantastic sound the best ever

  • Bought this single when it first came out

and still have it in excellent condition.

One of my favorite versions of this tune.

  • Talk about a hidden gem. Can't believe the age of this song. Fantastic blend of harmonies that we won't likely see again. A real "signiature" song that somehow just didn't make it big.

  • @bosco66able This was actually a very big top 40 song from the summer of 1960. The group is from the Bronx.

  • Noticed alot of my songs on my Channel are the same as YOURS!!

So We are on the same page!!!

    Thanks

Welcome to go to my page!!

  • What a GREAT version of a truly classic song from the greatest era in music. To think its 50 years old and still as beautiful as it was the first I heard it. Thank You for posting this timeless piece.

  • Thank YOU for commenting. We agree. It is a wonderful song. One of our favourites!!

  • This is terrific. THe Demensions are one of the groups that did not achieve the level of recognitiion and commercial success they deserved

  • Very true. Sadly they are one of many groups who are only finding recognition due to sites like YouTube.

  • @RockFur2 I grew up in the doo-wop era, but only started exploring YouTube about a year and a half ago, and am continually amazed at the artists and groups I find who are really good but who I never heard of before.

  • We are constantly surprised at the number of new DooWop groups that we have discovered and are still discovering on YouTube. We hope you find more that are new to you here and on other channels.

  • A great rendition of a Classic song that was made even more famous by Judy Garland in the Wizard of Oz.. The arrangement and Vocal on this record is excellent and the combined harmony with Marisa Martelli's soprano and alto segments creates a near perfect match and sells this song. It was a great record to slow dance to in an unmatched era of music.
