OMG, not only she has perfect phisical conditions for a ballet dancer, but she has THE HEART of a prima ballerina, her musicality, the movement of her head... you can tell she enjoys a 100% dancing, now THAT'S a future prima ballerina!!!

All are wonderful, but something very soulful the way Yulia uses her upper body...the lean/ angle/ tilt of her neck and head as they relate to phrasing of Russian Dance music....this is what I noticed immediately, and why I stopped watching other girls around her.

Sublime is the only word that comes to mind as I watch this.

It is very moving the way in which this beautifully made student can hold us spellbound entirely without the aid of costume, lighting, make-up or any other stage paraphernalia. Her whole body responds instinctively and with such "rightness" to the music, her technique completely at the service of her interpretation: surely *this* is the heart of the great Mariinsky tradition?
