This is where (metaphorically) one smaller tree is so needing to be higher, that it grows OFF the bigger one, draining it in order to make itself bigger. Using up the bigger one's lifeforce in order for it to have more of it's own, and then waiting to the eventual downfall of the big tree in which case it will either move onto the next big tree, or start growing itself.
