  • hey can you tell me how n wat you used to make this thanks

  • any boost at all?

  • LOL! Nice. ;)

  • thats a redneck lawnmower haha good shit.!

  • LOL WHAT WILL YOU NERDS THINK OF NEXT

  • wtf why didn't you drive it?

  • @manjyot818 We did in the other video

  • This sux

  • What did that turbo come off of? Nice set up too.

  • @85projectcar Came of a Volkswagen Golf Mark 2, Diesel.

  • When the engine is running, the vacuum created through the carburetor (negative psi) is required to "suck" fuel from the carb. If you were to put a turbo on, once the turbo spools up, it will create positve pressure (psi) in the intake system, cutting off the fuel supply and starving the engine. Since your engine continues to run, it just shows the turbo isnt properly installed. If anything, you are losing power spooling that turbo for nothing. It is safe to assume you lost that tractor pull

  • Does the lawn mower engine actually rev enough and put off enough exhaust to let the turbo spool up any?

  • lol you guys musta been really bored!

  • since the briggs engine has a splash lubrication system, how do you provide the turbo with pressurized oil?

  • @sausageslaps We had a powerstering-pump running off the belt from the engine.

  • @grandamracer23 OMG Tough guy, I just pissed my pants. Nobody forces you to watch this video..

  • @MarkusRasmussen tell em!! lol

  • @grandamracer23

nigga u mad cuz u aint got time 2 bull shit stop hating shit probabbly fater than yur whip

Nice work homie i wanna ride tha shit

  • @bxmgshotta u weenie

  • @bxmgshotta Let that little prick have it! Haha

  • @grandamracer23

Yeah dude you're a fucking idiot... Don't watch the damn video then. It's quite apparent you have no real intelligence considering you're straight talking shit over youtube. Also, your grammar is shit and if you had any knowledge of engines you would appreciate something homemade like that. Go out get some friends and stop living your life on a computer! I can tell you're probably some pasty white skinny and if not skinny, fat kid that's too sheltered!

    Nice vid man!

  • I thinks its good that you are willing to try something different. You never know what works unless you try. I have stuck a superchager on a Morris Minor engine and also fitted a 1300cc cylinder head onto a 1098cc engine. They say it couldnt be done. Well I have and it works. Good luck with your projects.

  • Any attempt, no matter how feeble, at turbocharging a garden tool gets mad props from my committee

  • he cut the video right before he stalled it lol

  • @mowat440 It's from Rambo dumb ass..

  • @mowat440 l0l @ this halo fag mowat440 its from Rambo son.

  • Tim Allen would be PROUD!

  • you would get no power gain on such a small engine.your using a turbo for a 4 cylinder engine on a shit briggs engine that hardly revs to 4000 rpm if it doesnt blow up ever hear of turbo lag thats all you will ever get .all these lawnmower videos are false they dont work just for looks and looks crap

  • @jpkeenan I know! If you read any of the comments, then you would find out that it's only made for fun..

  • fake

  • Why did you remove the blades? I wanted to see it cut at 50 MPH!

  • This is amazing

  • Mowing lawns with too fast and furious... lol. Well guess you can kick some grass man!

  • Nice

  • pretty sweet man

  • " I hope ya like whada deed to yo lawn mowa" - water boy

  • thou shall not take the lords lame in vain

    Ephesians 4:29

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen"

  • Goddamnit what the fuck is that shit?

  • @djfantom205 wow the lords lame? wtf? u suck shut up.

  • @jtofstreet says that guy with videos of ricer anal probes

  • @snakesonaplane2 yea ur point? their not my cars, and no their far from ricer

  • @jtofstreet really? a wing on a FWD car that isn't stock is ricer 100% along with the wheels and fart cans and body kits, it's all classic ricer stuff

  • @snakesonaplane2 lol both probes are running over 400+ hp turboed. dont argue with me plz :)

  • @jtofstreet sure they are, and they're ricers i can spot one a mile away in my sleep, don't argue with me

  • @snakesonaplane2 lol dude if u got something better prove it. If u dont have any proof then sit down and keep ur mouth shut.

  • @jtofstreet i do, look at the link in my profile to my Supermotors page

  • point??? who needs one!?!?!

  • nothin redneck bout supin up ur lawnmower :D

  • @xoxoheartbrokenoxox It was only made for fun goddammit! You guys take it too seriously!

    Easy does it..

  • @xoxoheartbrokenoxox haha classic comment.

  • @xoxoheartbrokenoxox fuck you. let the sand out of your vagina, it is an accomplishment if you have that badass of a lawn mower.

  • @xoxoheartbrokenoxox maybe you should learn how to accomplish spelling dumb ass

  • i made one too,it took a while, but great learning tool, i have a turbo , intercooler, suppercharger, after cooler and a turbo driven crank assist, had to modifiy an injection system for it too, but its opperable, but the engine its self could never hold up to the power it wants to make.....

  • It's just more weight added to it........

  • A very common error. The way this is set up(Blow thru), If it made any boost , it would blow fuel back into the jet(s). The ONLY way a gig like this can actually work is with a "Draw Thru" system. Meaning the carb MUST be mounted BEFORE the turbo. Try it, you'll like it !!

  • Bzzzzz ! WRONG

  • Bzzzzz! You're an idiot....look it up retard.

  • intercooler?

  • duz that still hav the govenor cuz it sound slike it

  • Maybe nitrous injection would work better :-)

  • hey umm i think u forgot to take of the governer

  • I think you forgot that crank would blow at 5k rpms

  • I think a nice big turbo with a hks BOV sounds much nicer than a supercharger on any engine

  • Holy shit. How many of these forced induction experts are kiddies with rice burners?

Bringing manifold pressure to >0 using a compressor is supercharging the motor. If in doubt, many motor manufacturers are happy to give out this pleasant titbit of info over the phone.

    Get over it.

    Cheers,

    Mick

  • What? No it is from a Volkswagen Golf turbo diesel

  • thats what he/she jsut said

  • there are jetta turbo diesels as well

  • that was a pond pump

  • turbocharged

  • turbocharger = USA

    Supercharger = Europe

  • wrong. a super charger is basically a turbo that is powered off of a belt. a turbo is run off of exhaust pressure.

  • actually thats only true for modern superchargers. Roots Style superchargers (the orginal) are nothing like a turbocharger. but yes the basic idea is that a supercharger is belt driven and a turbocharger is driven by exhaust gases

  • true that

  • @killakobra dang i thought it had to due with heat??? and no there really not the same... they do the same thing, but only if its a centrifugal supercharger, becuz its pretty much a compressor wheel ran by a belt with gears and bla bla, were as the screw is totally different. Screw is most common.

  • @killakobra Nope. That's a Type of Super Charger... Known as centrifugal supercharger. Most Super Chargers have a linear boost curve unlike a turbo which is exponential. My humble .02

  • @killakobra it can be roots type too, but basically ur right

a centrifugal supercharger is like that.

  • @killakobra That's a procharger. Not a supercharger... No?

  • @killakobra what about a roots supercharger, nothing like a turbo.

  • turbo charger and supercharger very differnt things

  • Then what do you call a supercharger?

Turbocharger and supercharger are two different things.

  • what are you talking about? USA has plenty of superchargers and Europe has plenty of turbochargers. Look at VW's turbodiesel. Most fuel efficient engine in the world right now. And the majority of Japanese cars have turbochargers

  • You cant compare a turbo charger and a supercharger, A supercharger puts strain on the engine through the crankshaft, The turbocharger puts strain on the engine via the exhaust gases, because theres pressure build up in the turbo charger it causes back pressure which puts strain on the engine regardless of what anyone may think that is what happens. And turbochargers create high end power, superchargers create low end power. Turbocharger=High RPM power which essentially is more fuel consumption

  • u serious?!?! a supercharger will REDUCE engine strain because it is making the motor's job easier essentially. and more fuel consumption with a turbo?!?! a turbo RECYCLES exhaust gases to compress the intake charge in the manifold, improving fuel economy. and u can compare a turbo and supercharger. both compress the intake charge, both increase hp. just look at centrifugal superchargers. they are essentially the same as turbos but spun by the belt as compared to the exhaust gases

  • Buddy, did you know that when you have more flow through your exhaust there's less strain on the motor, resulting in more power gain. Thats why people buy higher performance exhaust systems. If you have your exhaust spinning a turbine which counter spins another for forced induction into the intake, Is that not putting strain on the exhaust flow there fore putting strain on the motor? And a supercharger produces low end torque when it puts strain on the crank, increasing fuel consumption.

  • You need to do some more research buddy. A turbo does take exhaust gas to run....But you are creating MORE exhaust gas in an instant. It's a chain reaction that is way more efficient than a supercharger. Yeah I know supers give you that instant snap off the line but I'll take a turbo over super ANYDAY!!

  • lol, i don't need to do my research. You need to do yours. Just because more exhaust is created doesnt mean a thing, regardless the strain is placed on the engine. Pick up a physics book pal.

  • If backpressure is "straining" the engine then what do you think is happening when the fuel air mix ignites? You need to take your physics book and study physics...Not engines. Then put the book down and get a job so you can move out of mom and dad's basement.

  • fuckin a right.! superchargers run off a belt therefor drawing back power. a turbo however runs off exiting exhaust gas requiring no extra power to run it. it only adds power

  • draken is a fucking idiot man

  • Can't compare them? You just did. A supercharger has very little strain on a crank compared to the extra cyl. pressure pushing the pistons in any supercharged or turbo engine. A turbo does have backpressure but they're not just for high rpm power. The right sized spool will give you plenty of low end power too. And either one will burn more fuel unless you're stupid and lean it out too much.

  • just a hint mate .. its a turbo charger not a super charger !! other then that kool

  • omfg it's a turbo charger not a super charger :P

  • According to wikipedia a supercharger can be a supercharger or a compressor as we call a supercharger in Europe. Just at different way of saying it.. USA doesn't make the rules, you know:-)

  • i liv in england (in Europe:P) and it's the same in the us!!!

"A supercharger can be powered mechanically by a belt, gear, shaft, or chain connected to the engine's crankshaft. It can also be powered by an exhaust gas turbine. A turbine-driven supercharger is known as a turbosupercharger or turbocharger." :P turbo charger

    read "wiki/Supercharger" and u will see exhaust = turbo :P FU :D

  • So it is a supercharger.. I know that it is also a turbo, but please guys. Relax, and get over it.

  • it is still just a turbo

  • Europe dosent eather, you know =p

  • Listen all you haters. It was build out of nothing, it only worked half the time, if any at all, an was ment as a joke. You guys make it sound like I just killed a baby seal with a baseballbat. Relax G¨d dammit!!

  • lol well said man.

  • the turbo needs to be as close to the cylinder head as possible so boost wont be lost down stream, similar to a drop in current flow in an long electric cord

  • Squires turbo systems (STS) put them in the back of cars all the time and they spool just as fast...Explain that one genious. You don't LOSE flow that's ridiculous....Where's it going?....If you go from a small pipe to a big pipe the flow slows down but that's it.

  • When gas exits the cylinder it is the hottest it will be in the exhaust system. As we all hot hot gas takes more volume than cold gas. Putting the turbo in colder gas is reducing efficiency. You don't lose gas but you do lose volume. :)

  • turbo not supercharger

  • Comment removed

  • so if you modified the carburetor, maybe upsized teh jets maybe you'd run stoich??? perhaps a lower comp piston? hell, if you can, do it. never seen a turbo lawn mower before! do it!

  • Smart guy. I know. I study marine and technical engineering, so don't worry, I am not totally stupid..

  • then you should at least know thats a turbo charger not a super charger.... FAIL

  • where is the belt for the supercharger? you do seem totally stupid

  • not super charger thats a turbo

  • thats not a supercharger its a turbocharger....duhh

  • It needs flames down the side. lol. nicely done

  • Good Stuff!

  • FFS!!! It is still only for fun, God dammit!!

  • U need nitrous oxide and a pump for methanol, then the turbo will spool up...stand well back from engine if u do this!lol.

  • thats not a fuckin supercharger, its a turbo charger. and its not even working right or you would hear the whine or the turbine when you give it the gas.

  • how fast can that baby go!?

  • Who cares. It is only for fun.

  • turbo charged chang it now

  • Very Cool, man! We all like doin pointless shit, it can be fun. Fuck the haters!

  • i cant see belts or gears driving that "super charger"... that makes it a turbo to me

  • yes, thats a turbo charger

  • ha ha you mean turbocharged???

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, it is a Yardman!! :D How did you know?

  • is that a yardman ? XD

  • umm.. that looks a lot like a turbocharger to me.. superchargers being belt or gear driven and turbochargers exhaust driven.. Still, cool engineering!

  • WhiteFire721: Maybe, but it was still made just for fun.. So shut your pie hole..

  • hey that thing got a hemi you gosh darn FUCKD UP NAGGER!

  • wow that was a piece of crap

  • JIMMY YOU AINT FAST

  • hamslice15164: You should shut the fuck up.. It was made out of nothing, and we made for fun goddammit

  • At the very least, we know how he came up with the name:. A ham slice typically contains NO I.Q

  • wow what a pointless video...

  • redneck go-kart!! lol

  • Tard!!

  • ~hey boys~

  • You change the gear ratio.

  • how do you make a lawn mower go faster !

  • it may work with a twin cyl. but on a single you wont be able to make enough boost as there isnt wnough exhaust gas to spin it to speed

  • you are thinking of a turbocharger, a supercharger runs off of a belt

  • Nope, i was talking about the turbo they have on the lawnmower, That sigle cylinder dosnt have enough exhaust gas to spin the impeller up to speed and create boost. On a bigger 2 cyl engineit may create a little boost but still it wont be much.......

  • uh...

two strokes offer a lot less compression. and the exhaust is open slightly on the intake stroke, so some pressure is going to come out still. so no, in my opinion i would stick with the four stroke.

and to you guys who made it, good job. it may not be fast, and the turbo is probably useless but thats cool.

  • i said 2 cyl as in two cylinder. not two cylce

  • Me and a friend took and old lawnmower and then he made a turbo-manifold, and we had a rubbertube that fitted from the turbo to the carburettor, and bang! of it went!

  • How did you build it?

    Thanks

  • Turbo. Not supercharger. BIG difference. Superchargers are belt driven, so they're instantly in effect when the engine is revved. Turbos are exhaust driven, and slow to kick in.

  • lol you rock lol

  • I try.

  • I know it is a turbo. But I call it a supercharger because it can be a compressor or a turbo

  • no no no no

  • well um thats a turbo

  • Well, you make a turbo manifold of course, and a pipe to the carburator. Then we took and old power steering pump from a Ford I think it was, and then we had oil pressure, and put it together. Then the crusin' started!

  • it's spelled Carburetor not carburator. JSYK.

  • hey i was wondering how you hooked all this up??? like could you make a diagram for me i am trying to turbo a lawn mower

  • Cool project. Useless, but cool all the same.

Not a super charger though, that would be a turbo.

  • Hey. We had some spare time, and then we build this for a local town party.

  • why would you do thats dumb.

  • Hey. I know it is a turbo. But it is supercharged. That both covers a compressor and a turbocharged. Vi used the turbocharger from and old diesel volkswagen

  • no its not supercharged, doesnt matter about all the science crap, turbos are exhaust driven and superchargers are belt driven.

  • looks like a k03

  • that looks more like a turbo than a supercharger, but sounds good all the same haha
