  • Incredible!!

  • I know that maybe that is not all played at once but still it is a amazing peace of music that you have creadted.I have respect for your talent.

  • Can you get me in touch with the composer?

  • what software do you use to get those big string sounds?

  • Awesome !

  • Essecara é d+!!!!!!!!!

  • Don't be fooled. This isn't how it works in real life!

  • dude that is sick as hell

  • man this Guy is good, muchos Kudos to him

  • This guy has skill. he probably went to the university to study music

  • Some movie director do hired the orchestra.and play the sound and is recorded in huge studio, more money of course, first the movie then the sound.and according to the part of the movie the whole team decides where and how the orchestra plays, the Gospel of John a christian movies was recorded with a real orchestra Love and Peace

  • sick

  • hey man where do you get these sounds from? is it sampled and you play it via midi? what about the modulation effects with the strings?

  • @rmsyster this isnt the producers channel most likely, I use Native instruments komplete 8, a lot of stuff movie producers do is experiment with their own sounds, they have heart and passion for it, they dissect the characters and scenes and say how can I create some sound that was made for this film or character, hans Zimmer spent weeks on his sound for the joker

  • dat skills

  • amazing!!!!

  • just great!!....greetings from Chile

  • hi im in college and i wanna be a film composer.

can u direct me or help me to create my own template. im using cubase. and i have plugins like philharmonic, vsl and kontakt.

  • Crazy track!!! What software are you using and how did you get the multiple midi controllers to work simultaneously?

  • Now that I know that people don't need large orchestras to make this type of music I want in...

  • WOW

  • it's great!!

  • Wow!!! Damn that sounds amazing!! Respect for this top class producer!!

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!

  • U r amazing!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • sick..

  • East West equipment?

  • rob powers and hans zimmer should do a collab =D

  • I do know what I'm talking about because I studied music in university and have been composing for 30 years. And I've scored films and written concert works. Perhaps you ought to follow your own advice.

  • Don't know what others are saying, I can hear a lot of harmony and melody. Great job, it sounds good too! Can I ask what you use??

  • what technology he is usinggg?????????

  • @009twink

    the technology its call:

money..and talent if you dont have them.... you cant do it like that...sorry

  • Who the hell dislikes this???

  • from the hip hop world, Your a Beast!!!!!!!

  • WTF??????? THIS ISFUCKING AWESOME

  • I wish I had half of the equipment he does -_-

  • @coolsprus101 Its not the equipment bro, its how you use it. This could be done with a mouse and keyboard given the appropriate libraries, time and patience.

He is a very skilled musician to be playing the piano like that. I think playing the instrument is half the battle.

  • @DV7Dave I have the East West Libraries as well as the Vienna Symphonic Library also. The horns at 0:53 for example are Vienna without question.

I'm not dismissing the fact he may be using East West Samples as well as many others. I'm sure he does. But it sounds like the bulk of it is Vienna.

  • @DV7Dave Do u know if this type of sound can be achieved in Reason?

  • @vizardninja83 Looking at Reason 5, it looks as if it is possible as long as it has support for VST instruments.

Almost any DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) is capable of producing music like this. The sound comes from the mixing, mastering and sample quality. It has very little to do with the sequencer (FL Studio, CuBase, Logic...ect...ect)

  • @DV7Dave Reason is not at all a DAW. It does not support VSTs. It has its own type of sounds and format. It cannot be grouped with those other programs you've listed...

  • @vizardninja83 If that is the case, then you won't be able to use the sampling packages such as the Vienna, East West, Symphobia or KONTAKT range.

I just googled Reason and looked at the video regarding their software package. What they were saying sounded like a standard audio work station package.

You will need a DAW with VST capabilities and an engine such as the KONTAKT Player (freeware) or East West's Play engine (exclusive to East West samples)

  • Whatever film get's this as it's score.. will be awesome! Absolutely genius man! You deserve success!!

  • i think i just came

  • Wow!!!

  • Legao

  • i wonder how "two steps from hell" does their music O.O

  • Genius just doesn't quite say it

  • Now I know.

  • nice!

  • Rob Powers at the end: Yeah bitch how'd you like me now?

Camera man: ummm awkward.........(Turns Away) hahaha

  • what program is he using? fl studio. cubase. logic. pro tools or what. please help

  • @thepianolovingman Cubase I think:)

  • @thepianolovingman Cubase ;)

  • Excellent wonderful and darn epic

  • This is unreal... He cannot be human

  • i wanna do this for a living how do i startttt

  • @Remzi101

you dont because i wanna do it to and i dont want competition lol hahaha just kidding!

well you start by learning music

  • you are the man!

  • Powerhouse O.o

  • Y se queda tan pancho el tio ...

  • Wow no wonder your last name is Powers!

  • Yamaha Motif XS8<33

  • Very awesome dude!!! I want to get into this stuff in the future! Composing for movies. In the past ive just really sold hiphop beats. If you have any tips for getting into the composing for movies or tv shows business let me know!

  • Holy shit, I didnt know vsts could sound so realistic. Does anybody know what vst(s) he used?

  • @krotracer I would say Spectrasonics Omnisphere, East West quantum leap symphonic orchestra gold, East West quantum leap Symphonic Choirs, East west hollywood strings just to name few of the vst plugins. these vst plugins are obviously not cheap.

  • @emanpiano10 He uses a lot of Vienna instruments. The horn sections have Vienna written all over them.

  • @DV7Dave nope giga studio, East west. i have the same plug ins. i can tell by the sound comparing it what i actually have. if you see in the video it shows like a second of giga studio sampler of what he is using when they zoom in.

  • fake

  • siiiiick!!!

  • 100 OUTOF 10

  • Amazing how many people are that impressed by that. Of course it sounds nice... like 90% hollywood films do sound these days. Tutti, unison and stacked to hell... if you like to hear that all day....

  • @jazzundso im really into composing but ive never really heard of this guy. If he is in hollywood then yes you're right this is just standard action score and is not that great. But if hes not in hollywood then this is pretty damn impressive.

  • @DillonB1234 Maybe i should remind you that "impressiveness" isnt defined by Hollywood, but by the music itself.

The music is: "insert subjective musical taste here" regardless of the composer working for bollywood, or working for hollywood...

  • @r2d2rx I see what you're saying. But I don't really agree. Beethoven's worst symphony is not that impressive FOR HIM. But if a 6 year old boy wrote it, then it would be tremendously impressive.

  • @DillonB1234 i dont get your point. There is no accounting for taste (= judging s.th. as "impressive"). A retarded hiphop Freak wouldnt care about a 6year old writing a symphony, because to him it sounds boring and shitty.

The problem i had with your first post was: "impressive" is a term bound to subjective judgement, not to objective facts like "Hollywood/nonHollywood, 6years/40years old) So the only problem was, that you didnt write "to me" at the end of the sentence.

  • @r2d2rx whatever dude, I get what your saying but Im pretty sure everyone understand what I meant in my original post. No need to point out a technicality.

  • @DillonB1234 well most of the commenting in youtube is movitated by boredom i guess ^^ so it was needed

  • @jazzundso Most people are unmusical, if you didnt realize yet.

  • @r2d2rx I did, but of course you're right ;)

  • Hats! off ! Sir

  • Hats Off! Sir!

  • Wich movie is this from???Somebody knows??Greetings

  • My God. And who rates this down!?

  • lol I love the way he looks at the camera so cool after the end of his vids

  • umm...Give this man a thumbs up!

  • Need to give Jordan Rudess lessons in taste.

  • can i borrow your gear?

  • @persini oh and just another thing.....your talent!!!!! haha , awesome

  • THIS IS JUST AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Only one word : AMAZING !!!

  • Words cannot express...

  • I'm dumbfounded how many people have convinced themselves this is a live performance of a full orchestration. Sorry to burst your bubble everyone but it was staged. You can see the tracks on the screen @ 0:13. He is either showing clips of recording individual tracks or just playing along for show. Either way he isn't playing all that you're hearing - trust a professional that knows. This is to say nothing of the remarkable compositional talent displayed in any case.

  • @DListComposer It would take someone with an iq of 5 to think that....

  • @KlitzBeats There would be plenty who fall in to that category I'm afraid.

  • I've seen hip-hop beats in the making but this is incredible!

  • :O..................

  • Powerful stuff! Amazing!

  • am i playing metal gear solid?!

  • Perfect

  • i want a studio like that x( :P well its alooong way to go..but have to start somewere :D

  • omfggggg!! what movies has this guy done?? i need to hear those scores asap!!

  • can i have your equipment?

  • what's the name of the movie?

  • awesome stuff man. What VST program are you using for your sounds? Strings and horns sound amazing.

  • Yeah man! Nice.

  • Awesome! OMG, I just had a bit of inspiration for a score! See you later!

  • average

  • respect!

  • amazing skills!!

    epic composition!

  • Wow!!!! You just inspired me man. I din't know it was possible one person to be able to do this. Thank you for posting this video. You music sounds live. Thank you for inspiring me man.

  • Revelation Men! 5/5*****

  • Fantastic stuff!! Nice to see the Triton Classic still being used to such good effect. Really impressive and inspiring :)

  • Nice job.

  • This is what's wrong with film scoring today. Lotsa beats, no harmony. Everything is all doubled to hell.....

  • fuck up.

  • @majin2912 don't understand the ¨no harmony¨concept.... There IS harmony, there IS melody, and the rhythm is awesome man... this has been very very possibly done for an action movie, therefore it's very well done... don't always expect a chopin's virtuosity, or a rachmaninov's harmony...

Don't be a troll if you don't know what you're talking about

  • @ChameleonOnline Okay, let me put it a different way. The theme is basically a 5 note motive that is doubled in octaves on strings with some brass fills put in for good measure between phrases. The rhythm is basically duple meter and relies very heavily on electronic drums and repeating patterns. Yes, he modulates because the theme is pretty basic. Perhaps my initial post was a tad too mean but as far as observations goes, I haven't changed my opinion- just the way I articulate it,

  • AWESOME. :D

  • but... but... tihs is more than awesome... hey man! it's incredible to have this done with this few equipment... and using only 10 fingers... well.. it seems that you know what you bought, it seems that you know how to use it... it seems that you know what you do.

  • Soooooo awsome!

  • man that really sweet i wish i could do stuff like that but i dont kno a thing about that lolz

    EPIC SICK!!!!!! xD

  • exelente

  • i need to make up a new emoticon

  • you are truly an inspiration... bad ass man!

  • Ok, how do you spell jealous? Did I get it right? Amazing stuff. When does your contract run out? Cause someone sold their soul to the devil to be able to play like that. Great work!

  • Nice score.I wish I had your kit mate.

  • Also, the triplets on the trumpets are completely faked , there's no way you can play these fast notes real time without a glitch ( especially with a midi keyboard like he has )

BUT, in overall that makes a good commercial and the music is nice so thats cool :)

  • The live performance is of course faked. You can't play percussions the way he's playing on his little drum pad controller. It's of course programmed after via mouse.

Also, when he's playing the horn line around 1:30 ( while playing his 2 octave string melody ) , he's playing legato and suddenly the last three notes become marcato . That means he changed the patch he was playing. Although you could do that with keyswitching, I don't see him activating the keyswitch. So thats programmed after.

  • He didn't program the drums - he played the samples on the pads just like the video.

  • @johncarter926 Yeah it is so fake... His invisible double is also playing the other parts in the background. Dude, he could be or not key switching, just because you dont see him hitting a key or button doesnt mean anything. Key switches are midi notes, so it could be a midi clip with all key switches corresponding to his notation so he can perform more fluently, hence play 2 different instruments at once. You dont see him stand up or turning to play other instruments either do you? Chill out!

  • good commercial

  • Yes. That's what we call inspiration :D

  • Holy shit... that was awesome.

  • @AllenBowgen Yes i agree with you,,just awesome :=)

  • lol woah, he's no joke, does he have any film credits?

  • Bravo Mr Powers, fantastic film scoring, and great orchestration, keep up the good work :)!

  • Jeeez, that's what I call a perfect workflow!

  • mint

  • WTF

  • Mad props!

  • WOW!!!

  • sounds fucking awesome!!!

  • FUCKING EPIC!!!

  • shit ? LOL

    envy ?

    CLOWN !!!

  • cool

  • simply AWESOME .....this theme is perfect for a movie..... OMG !!

  • no shit

  • You fucking ROCK!!!!!!!!

  • freakin' awesome!!

  • what orchestral library do you use?

  • wow..i'm impressed!

  • Thank you guys for all the postitve comments!

  • FANTASTIC!! I'm very curious so i'd like to ask you a question...

I'm looking for library of noise or strange sound... And i've just listened that strange sound at the end of the video (THE NOISE AFTER THE STOP OF YOUR MUSIC wich go from the left to the right) It was created by yourself or what?

I would like to create music film just like you and i'm also interessed to the rithmic session that you use... Can you tell me some tips? Thank you very much man! :-D

  • Wow, just wow. Very very impressive!!! Great sound and music too!!!

  • I did bookmark immediately

  • WOW!!! I'm flattered! You're so great! Love you're way to arrange!

  • wow, 10 points from me

  • Down right, down right.

  • Fantastic

  • The truth of it is, if this "score" is going to make it into any film, this is what you call a mock-up, or a digital mock-up. The next thing that happens is a music supervisor hires an orchestra, studio, engineers and maybe transposes all the pieces into musical theory, where it is then played by real people, and real instruments.

But the reality is, joe-blow-shmuck cant consciously tell the difference.

Very impressive vid though.. I want to know what samples and sound fonts he's using.

  • Really good man.....

I don't know if this is original music or not but while listening to this, i was imagining an action packed scene from a 'Jason Bourne' type movie scene unfolding......

    Keep up your efforts bro....

  • hollllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is the best live performance video ive ever seen that is totally wicked!!!!!!!!!!!!!
