I just caught his Vancouver show last Friday, (it was huge...and he claims something else is HUGE, too!!!) There were no admission restrictions but the majority of Craig's stuff would go right over the heads of most teens or younger.
I had a tape once called "The Big Stoatir". I can hear all you yanks right now. What's a stoaterrr? Well, frankly I'm no' saying. It was a tape from a 1989 Glasgow Pavillion show. I lost it on holiday in Magaluf on my balcony....and I think the tape's somewhere in a shoebox in my maw's loft!! BOOM BOOM
I love this guy! He's hilarious, and his book is great too - "Between the Bridge and the River!" He gives great hugs too - wahhhooooo! Great show - I was there too! 2nd row center - awesome! Thanks for posting!!
Ahhhh.... the Glasgow Apollo. When tickets were not just pinned up on walls, they were sold in a little box office that tore them out of big, thick booklets. No computerised printouts... and after that moment of weepy nostalgia, I'm going to cheekily direct you to my own collection of scottish stand-up clips... featuring, well, me.
