"French Black Metal is by far the most philosophical and intelligent" - the topics this band touches upon aren't any different or expressed any more eloquently than most Norwegian bands. I'd say groups like Orcustus and Taake have more interesting lyrics and music than this group. Good song, good band, but really don't kid yourself. When it comes to bm, TNBM is king.

I don't live there and admittedly all my holiday experiences in the country have been mundane and tedious affairs, but France has been producing some really creative and unique metal for some time now, black metal in particular with bands like this and Deathspell Omega, Spektr, Blut Aus Nord etc.
