  • why didnt u just get the super gundam? then just get another titans mkii so that u can save urself alot of painting?

  • @superfuckayou

    I like painting :D

    It's part of the hobby.

  • @lhasarus haha isnt it everyones? but then u could have saved some money too! what brand where the paints? and where they like $3-4

  • nice job man LOVE your zeta and yea i alweays thought with the red part that way looks cooler than it's suppose to be

  • I think the wings on your Zeta might be on backwards D:

  • did the hyaku shiki come with the mega launcher?

  • @GA5MA5K88

It's the version w/o the mega launcher.

  • @lhasarus awww :(

  • zeta is the best gundam in my oppinion and your SD lookes great! the Mk II looks good and the Hyaku-shiki looks kinda funny to me...looks just a tad to dark

  • Ur zeta gundam's backpack/wings r backwards. They r facing the wrong way and the part with the white is supposed to be on the top

  • @bluemaster780

I know. It was intentional (looks more streamline this way).

  • for the MK II, did you use primer on the black plastic first then spray painted everything in white?

  • @Coolguy17

    Good question XD

Basically I used a white primer to spray the whole kit white and then applied all other colors via brush. I used the white model kit primer spray can by Revell. The layer is a bit too thick to my taste but it's a nice tatanium-white (in contrast to the zeta where I brush-painted white and it's more like a yellowish white).

  • such small sd zeta such LARGE gun!

  • THX A BUNCH!

and how about acrylic over enamel?

sry for asking so many questions, i just dont want to ruin my models...

  • do you pannel line with gundam marker or with like a brush?

and i have a question about paints...

1)could you mix enamel and acrylic paints together?

2)would it be okay if i painted a part with acrylic paint then re paint it over with enamel?

    btw awsome work as always...

  • I'm mostly using a technical drawing pen (called Rothring Isograph). The tip s smaller then those of gundam markers. I stopped using gundam markers because they don't work on paint.

    1) No! Don't try it. It's even worse than mixing oil with water...flakes of paint ;-)

2)That's perfectly fine! You can even correct your top layer of paint with the respective thinner without damaging the paint under it.

  • I just bought the Zeta after watching this. Mine wont look nearly as good though. :P

  • Don't worry! SD Zeta is a nice little kit which doesn't look bad without painting ^^

  • I do plan on painting it but man yours is flawless.

  • Nice job on your SD Zeta, Mine is still in the process.

  • You should really try airbrushing..

  • I'll do that if I have:

    1. space

    2. carbon filter mask

    3. descent compressor

    4. airbrush

The first is the main problem.

  • Where did you get the SD Stand for MK-II?

  • It's the Action Base 2 by Bandai ordered at hobby link japan

  • Nope. I'm busy right now with SD Alex. Stay focused or you get lost.

  • Amuro actually never piloted a mobile suit in zeta gundam. Its Kamile Quattro/Char and Emma.

    whatever...

  • I just order these guys, I can't wait for them to get here! I also ordered the SD Guncannon and RX-78-2.

  • Did you order the set?

I bought the kits seperately. If you get the set the Hyaku Shiki is plated in shiny gold and you get some additional stickers.

The original Hyaku Shiki is just yellow if you don't paint the kit so gold paint is really needed.

  • I order the set, darn. I'll have to save up for a small can of gold spray paint, darn!

  • No. If you ordered the set you don't have to paint it gold. It is plated.

    But see for yourself:

google "hobby search gundam". On the first homepage click SD Gundam on the left side and on the 6. page you can see the kit. In the picture of the runner you see that it is plated.

But as I wrote: There is no Gundam Mk2 in this set. Only a recolored Gundam RX-78

  • Huh. I just checked Hobby Search. There isn't a Mk2 in the SD Zeta MS Collection but a Titans colored RX-78. This is really strange there never was a Titans first Gundam.

  • Yeah, he it looks close enough to the MK-II to me though.

  • haha the trio!! yeah i like how you pointed out the "00 fanboy" thing...might as well do that for the "seed/destiny fanboys" too =p

id like to do a titans mk2 tro but thats just a crazy though tbut well see

  • I want SD Force Impulse

  • Cool!
