  • Alternatively, the Problem statement that "M1 ALWAYS consists of 4 states" can also be interpreted as that M1 consists of a total of 4 states, including the one WAIT state. In that case, the length of M1 can be taken as 4 in stead of 5 states. So there is a little ambiguity - - Prof. S.Raman
