And to join in the 'where we're from' conversation. I'm from England. The country primarily responsible for your nations' establishments / the ones who probably DID the raping and killing. Suffice to say few, if any of us, celebrate our national/patriotic holiday, St.George's Day, because none of us want to branded racist bigots. ^_^"
I agree with the sentiment that Ed (Dan's Dad) and Crystal getting together is pretty sick. I mean I know age gaps don't mean as much when you get really old, but, if he knew her since she was a child, then, yeah... I think that is a bit creepy. *shudders*
I also think 'Thanksgiving' is a strange holiday considering the way the colonials 'thanked' the native americans for preventing them from starvation/death was by killing them and taking their land. That's SOME appreciation, isn't it?
@hellbent18 Yeah Canadians are the best!!! I live in Alberta. I think Canadians love Roseanne so much as we identify with struggling and the gas prices right now are insane!!! Thanksgiving for us is always the second Monday in October. I like that's it's a Monday so we have a long weekend. Every Thanksgiving episode in the states always shows how THanksgiving is always way more popular there than it is here.
lol is it kinda sick that crystal and dads dad get together when you know someone when they were a kid, you still look at them as that kid its like he was probably fantasizing when she was a kid.. kinda pedophilia
EWWWWWWWWW TURKEY!!!!! Kinda sad how they celebrate the killing of thousands of native of american Indian's and took over there land.. Im not bagging the show just dont understand america with it..
@LittleMissJmoo im not american im canadian but we celebrate it too, but on a different day, but its not about celebrate killing, its about celebrating what you're thankful for. its originated in newfoundland in canada, and it was a celebration that the hunters made it back alive or something like that,
@DarlingStarrling I'm Canadian too, but I don't know anything about it originating in Newfoundland. Thanksgiving is a statutory holiday in most jurisdictions of Canada, with the provinces of Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia being the exceptions. Where a company is regulated by the federal government (such as those in the telecommunications and banking sectors), it is recognized regardless of status provincially.
But then I'm Australian and I don't understand why we celebrate Australia day - 26th Jan as the day when Europeans started invading Aboriginal occupied land. :|
@FailAtLifeWithASmile Im Australian too and yes im proud to be aussie but its also sad how we took over the land, though we are not the first, and its happened everywhere in history.. Just stupid how we celebrate days of killing, raping, and horrific nature, all for the sake of taking over a land that is not yet civilized in their opinion
