let the right one in is one of my favorite films, of all time. and i haven't seen let me in yet. i will, but i feel like this one is too "hollywood," for lack of a better analogy. because the original is so amazing, i didn't think they could do better. and i don't feel like there should be a lot of gore, because that's not what the story is about. it's more of a beautiful and strange story, rather than horror.

I'm sure I'd only be the 40,000th to say this, but "Let The Right One In" was Swedish, not Russian. But no matter it's origin, I agree that it was fantastic. It was good that it was dirty because it was raw--the way real people are. I also liked that she killed good people because it showed the animal instinct much better than most vampire flicks. For a fantasy film, it just seemed very real. I might go see "Let Me In," but I'm not really looking forward to it too much.
