I thought I was going to watch this movie, so I got a movie called 'death at a funeral'.

Turns out I got the original version (british one, which I didn't knew existed) and after seeing that and now seeing this trailer - the original was a great comedy, this seems so cheap now. It's probably funny, but thats just because its a total rip-off from the original!

Haters! Both versions are great. I loved James Marsden as Oscar in this version, he was hilarious. Danny Glover was great as the Uncle Russell. I liked Peter Dinklage in both movies. Chris did not want to do a "remake" sort of speak. He only wanted to introduce a wider audience in America to the film. He watched the UK version and thought it was brilliant. That is why he "kept the bones and organs of the original film". Again, both films are great. When I need a laugh, I watch both.

Most of the jokes in this movie were copied from the British version and the jokes they thought of by themselves were overdone. if Chris rock wasn't in this one, the movie would really suck.

I remember seeing the original in theatre and laughing hysterically!

I remember running to the shops to buy the dvd, then running home to watch it, and laughing hysterically!

THIS trailer doesn't look remotely funny!!

It looks like it's trying to hard, with "old jokes". All that seems to be missing is the canned laughter!

I think I'll stick to the original - and already classic - version, where the jokes don't have to be explained (!!), when I need to excercise my laughter muscles.
