Looks like a saleen clone, my 01 #789 has a different spoiler, there's no production number on the left side bumper, and with a kenne bell you should have at least been even with the cobra if not beaten it. Saleen does make convertibles. Great looking car though. Cobras are beasts but 2v can be monsters. Mine is waiting to have open heart surgery, lol

The Saleen is just a Mustang GT with a body kit, and that one has a KB with a few goodies that doesn't add much weight. The Mustang GT vert weighs 3520lbs, the Cobra coupe weighs 3650lbs. Cobras have an iron block 4valve, T56, independent rear suspension and brembo brakes that all add more weight than what's in a regular GT.

Not exactly, A 03-04 cobra weighed in at about 3665-3700 coupe just car and a saleen was 300 lbs less in 2000. So they are about the same weight, the drop top saleen and coupe cobra. But now your are comparing a 4v to a 2v. A cobra walks a saleen stock for stock

you would thnk so but they dont, convertables are about 25-50lbs lighter, depending on the materials. and trust me we weighed 2 foxbodies at my old job cuz we were having this arguement, i lost cuz i said the same thing, both had clean title, same engine, a full tank, same rims and we checke if anything was taken out or cut off, i denticle bodies except the harp top: rag top, and it was a good 25lb difference.
