  • is he sleepy?

  • Not overpriced. You get what you pay for!!

  • Beautifoul guitars!

  • Gibson guitar is like a F1 Ferrari: sometime thei win somtime thei lost but ever, ever, ever is a Ferrari...

  • Rob chappers custom ML2 from Andertons only 270 are being made. I have pre-orderd one and you should too.

  • i´ve got a Les paul R8. The most beautyful and great guitar i´ve ever played.

  • the most overpriced "guitar" you could ever buy...

wrong way of making the neck..(one piece necks on gibsons break like matches..),wrong headstock angle..(only helps the neck to break and gives it the wrong tension pull backwards..),wrong way of fitting the neck to the body..,wrong length of neck and fretboard..(your gibson will never sound in tune all the way...)

ask any pro luthier and he will confirm this..gibson survives on their customers brand loyalty and portraying them as "handbuilt.."

  • @hansebeddari the only wrong thing here its yours idiot comment.. "your gibson will never sound in tune all the way" WTF are you saying?? If you say this probably you have never played a Gibson before! And if all in gibson guitars are wrong as you say, why the most of the guitar legends (and millions of people) have played gibsons for all their lifes? If Les Paul were still alive probably he come to you and spit in your face.

  • @hansebeddari That's funny....I've owned seven Gibson guitars in the past 20 years, and I've never broken a neck.

  • Round of applause for Gibson!

  • Go talk to your average dealer about how many they return...

  • I have owned 4 gibson les paul models. They are all great, but just like Harley-Davidson it is just a name that carries prestege. There are prenty of guitars that are just as good for a lot less money.

  • i personally LOVE vos gibson sgs with vibrolas!

  • Agiles are better... and those cost only 500-700~ gibson is dead - sort of...

  • Vintage Original Spec....

    wasn't it obvious......

  • what does vos mean?

  • what does vos mean?

  • '58 has the best neck!

  • i saw a black buaty at this seconda hand guitar shop witha little fade on it, 3 doulbe coil gold cover pickups, for 279, i thought it ws bueatiful

  • Gibson rox my sox but Fender ROX MY WORLD!!!

  • HELL YEAH!!!

  • Comment removed

  • that's my dreamguitar!!!

  • Which one?

  • the les paul sunburst

  • 59 ftw

  • there are three with sunburst

    '58

    '59

    '60

  • Gibson is just an overpriced name. Don't get me wrong they're nice, but not worth the money they often demand.

I'm looking especially at you, Dark Fire, Zoot suit, Robot guitar, Holy V, Eye Guitar, and Studios

  • i played an epiphone lp and a gibson lp in the shop, and epiphone was a t least as good as gibson. today it stands next to me :)

  • @ReekoArch You only say that because you can't afford it... When you get to a point where you can afford to purchase one of these beauties, you will change your mind. Believe me.. It happened to me.

  • @feelthebowes

This maybe the case for gibsons coming from Kalamazoo, which by the early 80s right before that factory was shut down were damn good, but not now and not for the price they ask for. So until Gibby deciedes to get their act together and start considering price drops packaged with quality, I'm sticking with the guys over seas who get right everytime.

  • @ReekoArch They need money and we need guitars and all that but i do agree with that i wuld love it if they were $200-$900 that culd make them more money and new customers and also be affordable for us

  • @ReekoArch .. Yeah man that´s right buddy , but look at the old

ones they´re worth their money .. so you can´t blame gibson

at all .. you know what i mean ??

  • @ReekoArch retard

  • @ReekoArch exactly. i have a lp and an explorer (both epi) and they're totally flawless- only difference: only 1/3 of gibson's price...

  • @ReekoArch Agreed, gibson is NOT At the quality level they were way back when

  • @ReekoArch

    buy an epiphone

  • @ReekoArch True, except for the Gibson Custom Shop jobs. Those are truly first rate axes - of course, you pay through the nose for it, but worth every penny in my estimation.

  • @rbilleaud LOL I made that comment two years ago. I'll agree with you on the Custom shop stuff. Those are nice guitars. Played a John Sykes the other day that made me just about cream myself. I just find it ridiculous that they charge so much for their Les Paul standards and these VOS specs when you have the Flying Vs, Explorers, or even Firebirds, which is about the standard price for a USA made guitar

  • Based on this video (and the outrageous pricetags), you would think that Gibson guitars are Heaven-sent. They're good, but so are many other brands too...and many of them cost a fraction of the price. Much of Gibson is propaganda and hype.

  • but its Gibson!

  • Which is why I now own an Edwards Les Paul. Sounds and plays just like a 58 reissue gibson, but for under $1000.

  • classic beauty

  • gibson never invented the humbucker it was seth lover when working for gretsh

  • no the humbucker was built as early as 1936. seth lover built and patented a humbucker for gibson in the 50`s.not gretsch.

  • lol

  • owned rl.....you are simply a FOOL!!!!!

  • i think i´m gonna cry

  • me too

  • Yea ok I feel bad that you can't afford one too

  • he's right though.. they are overpriced profit guitars... the heart and soul of gibson died years of ago...

  • I own a 62 VOS SG Custom shop Guitar. Just like the one you see being played in the video. In a word... it is the finest guitar I have ever played (or probably will ever play) in my life. Just wish they werent so darned high priced..

  • I think it's the 61 vos SG, not 62.

  • And that cherry SG is just beautiful.

  • My boyfriend is an experienced and accomplished guitarist and only plays a Gibson.

  • Then truly he is limited.

  • Gibsons the best in the world:D!

  • Preach it brother! Amen to that.

  • Is the Epiphone Les Paul Custom better or Gibson Les Paul Studio?

  • What feels better in your hands and sounds better to your ears?

Answer that question and you'll know.

  • I'm getting a VOS Les Paul with an antiqued finish and hardware, but I'm not sure if it has the bumblebee capacitors.

Does anyone know if all the VOS guitars use them or just the ones that aren't antiqued.

  • the voice sounds like gene simmons of KISS, dont?

  • he sound so bored!!!

  • i'am tuched, this people work there buts of just so we can play on this wonderful guitars.rock on dudes!!

  • i tried an epiphone LP, it was damn heavy... i was wondering if edwards LP would be just as heavy.

  • 3:17 jimmy is a legend no matter what guitar he played

  • great pr

  • i could listen to this guys voice for ever hes a great narrator.

  • i know.. it makes me sleepy listening to him.

  • Does anyone else know who makes his song? By the way thanks Orangetoes

  • i want a 1956 gibson les paul goldtop =]

  • you know the weight of the guitar, is it chambered or is the wood ACTUALLy lighter? can you still get heavy les paul VOSs?

  • f the guitar is chambered it will sound lighter in sound.thicker the body\wood the thicker the tone

  • what is the first song on the video?

  • the 12 bar blues =P

  • Thanks Orangetoes223

  • who is the song by

  • it's a standard, almost every blues song you've aver heard is a variation of the blues, bb king has some really cool variations. If you just listen, you can hear it almost anywhere. And if you play gutar it's almost a required progression.

  • but who makes the one on the video?

  • i'm not sure... probably just some guitarist, no one big i eould think

  • Anybody ever realise the 60s batman theme is a 12-bar blues?

  • haha i never realised but igeuss it is.

  • Hands down the absolute best guitars in the universe. I own a 57 and a 60, and they are both amazing.

  • My Uncle, Hartford Synder, worked in the custom shop in Kalamazoo. At his house, I still recall him sketching out the Dove and Hummingbird on paper before giving his idea to Gibson for their new pickguards. They named the guitars after his designs. I kept a few of them too.

Now, Heritage Guitar is in the old Gibson building in Kalamazoo. Toured the place last fall. They still makes their guitars the old handmade way. JP Moats, Rendall Wall & the other old gibson guys have kept it alive.

  • this bideo makes me extremly hard

  • I have a 58 reisue vos,a Tonal Monster, highly recomended, soon as you plug it in you will hear the difference from a regular les paul

  • Really? I'm seriously considering buying one, but i'll only buy if it really does have that differene.

  • vos is just the goo they put on the inlays, the dull top and plekking of the frets. the 1960 has a thin neck. the 1958 has the baseball bat neck. maybe you don't have a 1960.

  • AWESOME NOW I WANT TO WORK THERE NOW
