  • The first "BATMAN" promo was originally seen at the beginning of the second season (September 1966), with Michael Rye as announcer [it's split into "two parts" here- I also saw it when the series was shown locally on WPIX-TV in New York at the end of the '60s]. For some reason, a fragment of a season one promo was mixed in as well {different announcer}. The "second" promo is from the beginning of season three (September 1967), with Gary Owens as announcer.

  • Kellogg's sponsored "THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN" during its original syndicated run (1952-'58). As part of their sponsorship arrangement {as it was with most major advertisers back then}, George Reeves [sometimes with Jack Larson and John Hamilton] usually appeared "in character" to pitch one of Kellogg's cereals at the end of the program. However, "Superman" could NOT directly endorse the sponsor's products, so "Clark Kent" did the honors. Seen here is a 1953 spot for Sugar Frosted Flakes...
