"To lose two looks like carelessness!"

    5*****!!

    Jennie.

  • Hi Eric,

i had an aunt with a moustache just like hers.......tried immac?

  • @billyboggins, hi Ernie, lol, thanks for that one, best, Eric.

  • Nobody can top Edith Evans in this scene, but this is indeed a good effort.

  • that's great. oscar wilde is fantastic

  • coboldt, hi Danica, thanks so much. Ta ta, Eric.

  • I had to play as Algernon when I did this play.

Probably one of the most interesting characters I've ever played.

  • iim testing on act 1 and 2 of this play and we only get two hours to read those two acts ???????

  • Thanks for this Eric. This really helps me with my scene.

  • Hi C00ZZY, thanks so much. Be happy, Eric.

  • Nice!

  • Hi SilentXThinker, thank you, Eric.

  • Handbag @ 5:39 for those that seek it.

  • jshaw995, hi Justin, lol, thanks for posting. Here's an interesting thought though...I wonder if Oscar is turning in his grave grumbling 'I wish I'd never put that line in'. His whole play, brilliant though it is, has been reduced to one line, which, with the help of the great Dame Edith, is known throughout the world. Best, Eric.

  • Well frankly, had that line not been included, or really had Edith Evans not said the line the way she did, I'd have never watched a scene of this play. At a minimum, because of that single line I've watched 2 scenes from 3 versions of the play.

It's all entertainment in one way or another.

  • @jshaw995 you are my idol. i was just wishing for a merciful comment like this. you just saved me 10 minutes of life. i officially enjoy your existence. goodbye, kind stranger. yay!! this is not a sarcastic comment, i am seriously happy right now. :))

  • Thanks, kind sir.

  • jshaw995, hi Justin, thank you very much. Sorry I didn't reply to this sooner, I've only just noticed it. Take care, Eric.

  • Hi xanderthemanonthe, lol, thanks so much for your hilarious comment. Really, I actually laughed out loud. Take care chum, and do put some clothes on. You know the old saying: 'Ne'er cast a clout (clothes) till May is out'. Best, Eric.

  • Eric. Not sen any vids. from you lately. You have been conspicuous by your absense. Hope everything is OK with you. Regards Ron

  • 22989169, hi Ron, thanks so much for posting. Actually there are two things which have held me up of late. Firstly, I seem to be going through a period of 'video fatigue'. The other thing is, at 68, my body, like an old car, has started to have problems at times, not a major write-off I hasten to add but enough for me to say 'bollocks' to it all. However I'm hoping with the warmer weather coming I'll be back on the treadmill soon. Thanks so much for enquiring, take it easy, Eric.

  • HI Eric. Sorry to hear of your VF period I am sure that will pass and lets have no more talk of gonads. All you need perhaps is a "full service" to get you back on the porverbial treadmill. You are too talented to disappear into the sunset. As Hermione said to Chevalier in Gigi "Not you, Not you"! Keep on trucking! Lol Ron.

  • 22989169, aw, bless you Ron, that's perked me up no end. Cheers, Eric.

  • I don't know how you do it all! That was wonderful, Eric! So amazingly well done. I think Oscar would have been wild about this! Oooo! That was a baddy! Sorry about that! Lol! Really though, just loved it, and those looks you gave after you said "29", were priceless! Bravo, and brava!!! 5 stars!!! :))

  • singingkid, yo Greg, aw, cheers mate and thanks for rating. Hey folks, check Greg's latest out. One of the best singers on YouTube, best, Eric.

  • Great shades of Edith Evans! A handbag!! Nice one Eric! That was great :-)

Love the fact you kept your 'tache on for Lady Bracknell. V. funny.

  • HaisleySnook, hi Haisley, thanks so much chum. Hey folks check this singer/songwriter out, great stuff. Best, Eric.

  • Eric. This is superb.Really do love it.Well done once more my friend.

    Best Wishes.

    Josh

  • TokyoXplorer, hi Josh, thanks so much chum. Take care, best, Eric.

  • what year is this supposed to be set in ?

    ryan

p.s keep up the good work

  • 436451, hi Ryan, cheers mate, thank you. Can't say the exact year this play is set in but it's around about when it was written, late Victorian period. Before the turn of the Century anyway. Best, Eric.

  • the play was written in 1895, and the time is labeled as "The Present," so I'd say that's the year.

  • I agree : Eric is very entertaining and I love to check his new videos from time to time.

  • Hi Eric,

I'm 18, and while it may seem strange that a teen would watch this rather than the latest music video, I find you really entertaining. I recently went to film school, and while I was there I discovered you. If I had the means, I'd have you on tv in a flash, you're that good! Keep it up! Have you got an agent??

    Jennifer

  • shortandhairy17, hi Jennifer, firstly, thank you so much for your kind and complimentary comment, I'm touched. Secondly there's so much in your comment of which one begs to know more. Were you a student at film school? Are you still there? Are you hoping to be a director, editor, writer, actor? Would love to know more. No, I haven't got an agent, written to loads but no takers I'm afraid. Good luck Jennifer, keep well, Eric.

  • Jennifer you hit the nail on the head!

Eric is entertaining and one of the most talented people on youtube. His videos are ALWAYS entertaining and enjoyable to watch... I wish more people could discover him too!

    Great stuff as alwayd Eric!!!!

  • surfzombie, hey Terry, Thank you so much for your kind compliment. Today is Sunday, it's now 4pm, just finished putting up a fence in my garden to stop next door's dog getting in, lovely dog, but I don't want his crap all over my geraniums. Anyway, just poured myself a nice scotch and watched your Pork Salad Annie. Knocked me out, loved it, made me smile from ear to 'ere. Absolutely a work of art. Surely vids like these deserve better than just YouTube? God bless mate, Eric.

  • Yeah your right

  • Superbly done Eric, you really are very accomplished with the split screen these days, how you managed to get the timing so good beats me! Dare you to try a duet version of Chas and Dave's 'Rabbit' though, lol...

  • knobstick, hi Keith, thank you so much. Chas and Dave's 'Rabbit' certainly would be the touchstone wouldn't it? It's a thought though, and the more I think of it, a bloody good idea. I think I'll look into it. All the best, Eric.

  • great job... loved it...

  • Howdy texasdallasbill, why thank you kindly neighbor. You probably know, but Oscar made a short lecture tour in the States visiting among other places mining camps. What they made of him I don't know, but would love to have been there. Also I believe it was when entering the USA and he was asked, 'Have you anything to declare?' Oscar replied, 'Only my genius'. He was certainly no retiring flower, green or otherwise. Take care chum, Eric.

  • Eric,

    Simply wonderful.

Great use of split screen and the costumes are once again fantastic,

not to mention ur brilliant acting skills!

  • davidholness, hi David, thanks for posting. As to your question the answer is never....What never?...Well...hardly ever. Mixing my wordsmiths somewhat but same period. Take care, Eric.

  • 'In matters of utmost importance, style, not sincerity, is the vital thing.'

And you certainly have loads of style! You have sincerity too, of course! (Well, we believed Mr Worthing was 29-thousands wouldn't!)

Great work, great acting and another winner.

    Regards as aye,
