  • oi

where you get that SS intake from?

i need one but cant find any

    the end

    :P

  • @IAMDAVEAMI My car is a true SS which came with ram air. not sure where you can find one anymore.

  • @jer4251 oi

i seen the SS with those ram rams

but i got this SS hood for mine but i cant find a SS intake kit for it and no store carries them you know

    but thats cool

i have to see if i can find someone with a SS that has a bad engine or something i can take his haha

how you do you headers on yours?

    i hate Y pipes haha

    the end

    :P

  • @jer4251 wat all do you have to do to run the 847 cam

  • @IAMDAVEAMI SLP website

  • Sweet car bro

  • Hey, I was thinking about getting the same cam put into mine.. How is everything?

  • i like it

  • Clever liscense plate!!!!

  • Did I mention that that's SWEETAAA

  • SWEET

  • Sounds real good. Thats how i want my 95 to sound.

  • Why is the oil pressure so low?

  • @MrWrencher Thats the LT1's for ya. hovers around 20 psi when idleing. my 96 SS with was the same way when it warmed up, it was bone stock with under 50k miles. Just how the LT1 are

  • @jer4251~ why does your vehicle speed go up when u rev it?!

  • @jer4251 yeah i have an lt1 trans am thats the same way

  • @jer4251 how much power from just the cam and bolt ons? unported heads!

  • @MrWrencher its because they had a 3/4" pick up on the oil pump. huge opening=no pressure.

  • I did it by myself in my tiny garage at the time. I left the heads on, but removed everything else, pulled the radiator and moved the ac stuff out of the way without taking it apart. just enough room to get it in there without removing the motor.

Also, im running stock heads, but upgraded the springs, pushrods, rocker arms, and added some guide plates. its killing me on stock heads but i have a 2010 LS3 SS which ive been putting money into lately.

  • @jer4251 & hood latch

    ! # in the way.

  • can someone tell me how hard it is to put a cam in a lt1?

  • Sounds awsome man. What kind of heads are you running??

  • i love camaros, i love ohio, and i wanna move to georgia

  • Ohio! woooo

  • yeah, but video was taken in GA, Now has a Georgia plate too.

  • question: did this car pass emisions in GA? my mechanic is installing this cam in my 96 camaro and "recommened" that I register the car in a non - emission county.

  • @anITALIANdude , I dont live in an area where i need to test it, the way my car is right now, it wouldnt pass a human smell test. If your going with this cam, it would be dumb not to take it all the way, longtubes and everything else to make it breath. there are places that wont do the sniffer, you just need to look around and ask the right people/

  • 96 camaro by-the-way.

  • @anITALIANdude WRONG!!!!

  • The car has been worked on in stages and has the 3"exhaust with headers, cold air, flowmaster muffs (I will be changing that- I like the Spintech Exhaust), new gear box and clutch. The next step for him was the cam, bottom end work, throttle body and such (12 bolt).

  • He sold it to me for $5500 and will do the cam work (all required) for about $2500-$3000 (might be more - havent gotten the full quote). (The bottom end will be done later). He said it probably wouldn't pass emissions.

  • I'm new to the CAM work and will let the professionals do the install. Just to give you an idea about him; he does the drag racing thing and has a couple of mustangs sitting around (believe me, they are SICK). He's a very reputable shop. I'll do a before and after video reply to let you see what was and IS. I have alot to do with this car and am doing it in stages.

  • @jer4251 sorry bout that, I couldnt say all of that in one comment.

  • no, it has way too much lift for stock springs

  • can u use this cam with stock lt1 rr's and springs

  • gmparts has it, but its built by crane cams. for the gm part number, it ends in 847. 234/242 112 lsa. this is a high rpm cam. low end is almost worthless unless u have really high gears with a 6speed, or a high stall with an auto.

  • Crane Cam "GM847"

    Part No: 109841

    Hydraulic Roller Special

    Grind Number: HR-296-2S-12 IG

    (222/230 .543 .563 112LSA)

  • anyone know where to get this cam?!? this is deffinitley the cam i'd like to have but after hours of looking i cant find it anywhere. anyone know where??

  • i need a new pair of underwear badass sound

  • real nice im tryin 2 get there with my 97 ss nice work

  • take them rims OFF! lol sick as fuck soundin tho man

  • How's the low end torque with the gm847?

  • I have done valvetrain upgrades to go along with the cam, but stock heads/intake and everything else still. not the cam to go with unless you plan on doing some big heads and better fuel system and intake/ignition. smaller cams will make more power with stock parts

  • Man that is by far SiCK !!!! So thats just a cam install on that tuned? I want to do something similar to get that sound. I already got pacesetter Long tubes and ORY ... So would I just need to throw a GM 847 cam in and new fuel pump? You don't have any other motor modifications?

  • hey man where can i pick up one of those intake scrouds. im gonna be putting on a ss hood and i cant find that intake setup anywhere

  • seriously the most badass LT1 I have ever heard in my life! Nice work and very tight SS.

  • sounds great
