These Sharks are meant to be intelligent creatures. SO if so the shark would have KNOWN it wasn't eating a Fish and in fact eating a human. It's kind of understandable if the person was surfing but if they were swimming NOT.

To answer those who said the water is safe after a fatal shark attack: I agree in the main, the book "Close to Shore," about U.S. recreational beachgoers first encounter with sharks, details three swimmers eaten in one day (July 1916) by a shark that rampaged its way up a creek all the way to a swimming hole. A few days earlier the same shark predated on two men swimming off New Jersey beach resorts. Rare, but it happens. I would stay out of the area after a fatal attack, just in case.

@OdinavNorge I read that book, it was very good and informative. Yeah, chances are the water is no safer or more dangerous, but I would also stay clear of the water for a few days. To your point, there can be "Rogue" sharks that can start attacking and then continue attacking things in an area. Lone Hammerheads can be very agressive and territorial, making the waters more "unsafe" then usual. For example.

Shark disappears = Earths oceanic eco-system fails, and all acquatic life is at risk of extinction.

These Sharks are meant to be intelligent creatures. SO if so the shark would have KNOWN it wasn't eating a Fish and in fact eating a human. It's kind of understandable if the person was surfing but if they were swimming NOT.
Again understandable if they were spear fishing or something but sharks don't normal go upto a person and start attacking them enless they intend to do it. Humans arn't the prey of Great whites, they like seals, so we can say that a seal was near the guy,and shark took him.

Other sharks could smell that blood from miles away and think that there is food waiting for them near the beach.
