If they wanted to make it ultra-realistic, Pooh could get stuck for days and Rabbit could suffocate to death. Also Pooh would quickly die of thirst.

this episode of the story always freaks me out for some reason. I guess its because i may have a secret fear of growing fat or something or maybe i feared this would happen to me because i was a chubby child. Im also claustrophobic, so maybe thats it too but idk its just so creepy..........*shudder*

It's funny on the Winnie The Pooh video called "Too Smart For Strangers", Pooh mentioned that nobody (except parents and the doctor) not even a friend should touch anyone on their private parts but here, Rabbit is a friend of Pooh, and he is touching Pooh's butt (a private part).

@afriendofbean Indeed. :D Notice also that the film 101 Dalmations, re-uses Rabbits pushing animation for Sgt. Tibbs the cat and Rolly the fat Dalmation puppy for a few seconds. So Disney wren't afraid to use the same sort of humour again. :D

Yes, I remember that scene in 101 Dalmation's and Sgt. Tibbs was sort of making the same face as Rabbit here as Sgt. Tibbs was pushing on Rolly.

@afriendofbean Yep. A typically re-used animation piece, Disney did it quite a few times back in the day, to cut costs I'd imagine. Of course we would see rabbit push against pooh's bottom later during the 'Mind Over Matter' song. BTW, Rabbit pushing pooh's bottom was only a Disney idea, it was never in the original book, as Rabbit and co. just tried to pull Pooh out. :)

I have even seen Disney using it on an elephant in Dumbo where in the beginning an elephant got stuck trying to get in one of the cars on the train, and a lot of the circus people pushed on the elephant.

Also, I didn't know that Rabbit pushing on Pooh's bottom wasn't in the original book. (I guess Rabbit must have been outside with Christopher Robin, Kanga, Eeyore, Roo, and Gopher as they were pulling Pooh out of Rabbit's hole).

@afriendofbean Dumbo used different animation, but yes thgat was another use of cheeky humour. Of course it happend later in the scenes with the crows on the cliff. :) Actually Rabbit didn't bother to push Pooh in the original book, he offered to just pull him out. He said the same objection to Pooh being pushed back in the book though, saying 'he had gotten this far out, it seems a pity to waste it'. In the book, it was actually Christopher Robin, Rabbit and his friends and relations who pull.

From 0:17-0:18, as soon as Pooh mentioned to Rabbit that he must be going, it looks like wherever he felt that he must go too, he was now of course unable to go there (of course from getting stuck) and he was definately late for wherever he felt that he must go.

Or, maybe it looked like he gained more weight but, it was probably just Rabbit pushing all over his butt which made it look like he had a huge butt.

Actually, he does get stuck in the tree at the end as soon as he gets free out of Rabbit's hole. (It doesn't show it but, that's what happened). The way how he got stuck in the tree hole was when Pooh's friends (Christopher Robin, Eeyorre, Kanga, Roo, and Gopher) were pulling Pooh from the front and Rabbit was pushing Pooh from the back. Then Rabbit took a few steps back and ran and pushed Pooh out which caused Pooh to fly out and fly head first into the tree hole where he got stuck again.

I was in second grade and we had this jungle gym set that had a couple of crawlspace type separations in it, one at the very bottom of the set, and another in the middle, that was a fraction smaller. I had gotten under the bottom one many, many times so one time I decide to try the top one with my friend. So I attempted to climb through, only to find myself stuck right where the stomach starts in the abdomen, and my poor friend pushed quite a bit and tired himself out.

Yes that was funny. Maybe as soon as he went into Rabbit's hole he had a normal rear but then at 0:52, he probably gained more weight faster which could've caused him to be even more stuck.
