I have a '86 Coupe quattro, and it's far more beautiful than this. Its back carries something lfrom the old quattro, but its front really looks like a Pump up R8(and its ugly). So if anyone says its good(looking) as much as the old quattro, they've never been REAL quattro fan, and never drove one.

If there's one thing I don't like, it's that air intake hole on the hood (probably a necessity?)...and without the real spoiler, please - makes it look "chavvy". But other than that, yeah, this is pretty much car porn right here. The "mean" look current Audi's have at the front is definitely sexy, and far from the dull look they used to produce only like 5 years ago.

To the imbecile who dared suggest that they put the V-8 in the new quattro. First of all it would not fit, second of all it weighs too much, and third of all that particular engine almost requires a dual clutch transmission, whereas the five cylinder which has nothing in common besides shape and original plant with the jetta engine, is extremely easy to sync the Audi corporate six speed manual with. OMG, why doesn't this thing have the RS5 V8 in it ?? I mean, that is clearly a much better engine than this laggy under-powered Jetta-sourced (yes, Jetta!) piece of crap. And it has about the same weight (the TTRS inline-5 weights a whooping 183 kg, according to wikipedia), so that means virtually no weight penalty but 100 naturally aspired ponies more! Why 100 you ask ? Because the production quattro will likely only have 350 hp (same as the TTRS), because of turbo-lag/reliability issues.

Why is everyone making a big deal out of this car. It looks like a VW Corrado and nothing like a quattro. I must say im bitterley disappointed at Audi's tribute to the car that made them what they are. I would have prefered it to follow the original quattro closely but slightly modernized. But in all honesty I think the TTRS was a good enough tribute especially if they had made it light weight and around 400bhp. I would really like some feedback on this subject.

When it comes to raw design, Audi is really in a league of it's own. I love how the overall design language is so minimalist, yet so aggressive. It seems like BMW might be heading in that direction, looking at the latest X3, and the 6 Series 'concept'. it's beautiful....

Before making ignorant comments about this car's appearance, first Google image search: "Audi Sport Quattro".

This is intended to be a modern updated interpretation of that legendary limited production rally car(1985-86). Similar to what Chevy did with the 2010 Camaro SS paying homage to the 1969 model.

My biggest gripes with this is that they didn't tint the tail lights like the original ones and the wheel design is way too conservative.

The aftermarket tuners have taken the 2.5 5-cylinder engine to 501hp as well.

This car has great potential. Unfortunately it will probably have to be priced in such a way as to not compete with the RS5 and R8, as well as limited production = Well over the $100k mark.

Audi, keep the price around the $100k mark and you've got a winner, and I'll buy it. Otherwise you're just teasing us...
