Thanks for sharing, KM! It's interesting to see the minor variations in the waza between our dojo and others. We're not strictly MJER so our techniques are slightly different. In torei, we face the cutting edge towards us. In our chiburi, we swing the arm out just a bit further before bring it to the temple and the angle of our swing is just a bit steeper.
Ishibashi Sensei was really magnificent, showing great intensity and inner strength.
His technical sense is quite apparent. His opening and closing torei are near picture perfect. Interesting interpretation of ukigumo with his iwanami-style hikitaoshi. Very nice MJER, quite worth the medium it was recorded on.
