Hi David, you are a very great playing style. I've a question: I'm seeing that you are very fast and violent on the E string. I've a simil Jazz Bass and ma E string is really SOFT(?) Pratically make some noise when I play and the only way that i've finded to make it sounds better is put my action higher. So, what's the scale of your string? Can you say me a solution for my problem?

@almostMomo I am not David (obviously) but I had a similar problem with my old bass. some things that might help:

* put your strings as low as they go without rattling constantly.

* test different stringsets to see which sounds best on your bass (i like the red warwick ones for instance)

* put your pickup closer to the strings - this will make your sound more agressive and give you more attack.

* play hard.

@Warsel Thank you but I think that you've not understood my problem. The E string is dull...soft..i'ts less stretched then other strings. You think that a 45 105 scale can help me? If i put the action down I've a E string too soft. It's hard to explain. Thank you a lot =)
