I have Dewalt 18v and Bosch 24v batteries. I also have Worx 18v batteries for my lawn tools and they are garbage even when they are brand new. Can you also rebuild the Worx batteries and make them alot better? I wish that I would of been aware of your company because I've gotten rid of old batteries in the past. I liked the video up untill the last part. I run a contracting company and was looking into a refurbish option for the large amount of batteries that get "recycled" but the end of the video was the end for me. A professional company would not post that type of an add. I researched where to buy the coupling connection with the thermasore and have developed a side company for this. Some people are so cheap. I'm sending a Snapon 18V battery today because these batteries are over $145 each when new and only last about 3 years because I use my cordless impact everyday. Some people can't read it seems. They put better cells in, but people are still comparing them to a new battery pack. My coworker had his pack rebuilt and it seems his gun lasts much longer and is actually stronger.

@permi2d be careful in the case of Ryobi, remember, we guarantee longer run time than new batteries. New Ryobi packs only have 1500mah cells inside, thus the cheaper price. We use 2100mah cells for longer runtime, and bigger lightning bolts.

One of my dewalt 18v hammer drills is 13 years old, and I use it every day. Often people will not maintain their tools properly, Blow the dirt out of it when you are in a dusty atmosphere, don't throw it when you get mad don't try to bore a 6" hole with your full 300lb of body weight behind it. You change the oil in your $40,000 truck what should you expect from a $200 tool not properly maintained or used properly? I am not a dewalt salesman just an electrical contractor.

Good job guys. Nice business you have going. Not surprised Dewalt is your "most popular" battery. They are the worst cordless tool brand i've ever used. Nothing but problem after problem I've replaced trigger switches... my drill and sawsall. The electric motor just died on my drill. My sawsall siezed up due to a lack of lube inside. Dewalt won't fix these things for free. Guess they make too much money of it. Default is worthless!

I have been using makita, ryobi and dewalt for since they came out close to 7 days a week. none of them are perfect

but dewalt has been the best. if you think dewalt is that bad I would question how much you really use them. the biggest problem with cordles tools is they need to be cycled often or they go bad because people let them sit uncharged.

Trigger switches and elctric motors are not supposed to break. Their costs are half the value of the tool (Just the motor was $50, labor extra). This would be tolerable if Dewalt would replace them for free. There was a stack of dewalt sawalls on the counter at the repair shop when i had mine fixed. They know the triggers are junk... I am a Kitchen and Bath remodeler, i go through all phases of construction and do all the remodels completely by myself. I use my tools.

They shouldn't market these tools to contractors if they can't back up their quality with a little reasonable customer service. If I wanted "Joe the handyman" quality I would have bought a cheaper, less-known brand. I also have the Dewalt tile saw, it too have had a major failure. Heck, the first week I owned it the GFI broke, a year later the thing seized (couldn't do 45 degree cuts), and there is no way to lube the king pins. They had a nice concept, but poor engineering.

I have had my DeWalt drill for years, no problems. The batteries wore out after 5-6 years but that will always happen. I worked in a shop full of morons and they couldn't break the DeWalt sawzall, so you must really abuse your tools. Your tools didn't just break, you BROKE THEM.

Dude, explain to me how to break a trigger switch...please. And while your at it, explain how to break the electric motor on the 18v drill. And explain how to prevent the kingpins on the tile saw from seizing when there is no way to lube them. And lastly, explain how to prevent the heim-joint inside the sawsall from seizing when there is no way to lube that either. Like I said, just because YOUR tools worked just fine doesn't mean Dewalt is great. Defalt SUCKS!
