I love both GNR and Metallica since the cassette age.

GNR's music is changing with time, or members changes? and their music style is more like a fusion of punk rock, blues rock, heavy metal and classic rock.

Metallica's style is more thrash metal and hard rock focused, particularly the former. Pure rhythm guiltars and powerful drums. They are really good and experienced in it.

I will compare GNR with the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, and even Queen instead.
