It’s true, nothing anyone can say to me will change my un-provable position anymore than they are going to sway me to believing their un-provable position. For clarity, my position includes creationism, evolution and external intervention on our development as a species. Evolution is evident even in the last 250 years on our continent alone. 250 years ago, the average height of our forbearers was about 5’5. Our average male adult now is almost 6’.
@a1mint Yes, faith is based on belief in those things not seen. A little 500 character blurb on youtube is not going to shake my faith my friend. As I said, I believe that all of the factors come into play here, including an advanced societies’ intervention on our species. There seems to be far more evidence of that than any other theory. We can see the Pyramids all over the planet and know that when they were constructed, humans didn’t have the engineering expertise to accomplish this.
@maconsumner When you see something that you don't understand, instead of fantasizing an answer that you think suits you, next time, you might want to learn about the subject you're making claims about. If you don't, you'll end with these silly superstitious delusional ideas.
@a1mint Sorry, I thought this was a civil conversation. If you feel the need to berate or belittle people because of a differing view of things, then perhaps we should not have this conversation. You are talking like there are only two theories, Creationism and Evolution, while there are many more. I just provided a 3rd theory that has credibility and you have completely ignored it. I get it, you believe what you believe and your not a very open minded person.
@maconsumner You are offending science, common sense, and rational thinking, by making unsubstantiated claims that attempt to reduce existing knowledge by suggesting it's not valid, to help create wiggle room to weasel your religious nonsense to the surface. It's not going to work. Evolution if very backed by a an overwhelming amount of science. Science based evidence. Arguing against it at this is absolutely absurd. You need to learn to live WITH that evidence, NOT deny it !
@maconsumner One major thing that set me off was your claim how pyramids could not have been built by humans unassisted. How on earth could you make that claim? Any normal rational thinking person knows what humans build it. The challenge is to find out HOW they built it. Those are answers you can look for.
But you instead claim how people did not have the skills to build it.
That is an attempt to weasel through supernatural superstitions.
@a1mint Ok, there is a village in Mexico with a similar type of pyramid. Within it is stone cutting that is so precise that while it could be done with today's tools, it would be extraordinary expensive. The theory of evolution aside, if we at 5000 years ago had that technology to not just cut these stones that are 100's of tons, but lift them into place with complete precision that you can't even get a piece of paper between, how did we loose it? Did we evolve, then de-evolve then re-evolve?
Add the dot where appropriate. Credible seems to be a relative term in this discussion when you consider that we are talking about theories. You can Google "ancient aliens architecture" and there is volumes of work on the topic. I am not saying this is so, but it is interesting.
@maconsumner link didn't work, but was able to fix it. Youtube intentionally obscures what it thinks are links. Copy past to an editor, you'll see at least one character replaced with a two character sequence, that at first glance looks ok, but when you copy-paste it to the address bar, it won't work. The slash sets off that youtube filter.
The way I copy-paste links is by replacing . with (dot) and / with (slash), which has worked so far. Just a tip.
@a1mint Ok, re historicmysteries(dot)com(slash)evidence-of-aliens-from-ancient-times
First, the site's product is to sell what they think people would believe are mysteries. It's not a science based source of information site at all.
The article asks the question how people built the pyramids. Instead of trying to answer it, it doesn't, and assumes that aliens must have done it. Absurd and not scientific what-so-ever.
@a1mint I know, I don't know why they don't like people posting links. In this case it helps with the interest of the conversation. BTW, you are talking about this in a respectful fashion and I appreciate that very much. In real life, though we do not agree on this subject, I think we could have some very good discussions and become friends because of your civil tone while still disagreeing.
1. Geologic evidence seems to suggest around 4.6 billion years, but really it has to do with how the question is prefaced. If you are asking how long the each has been inhabited with life, who knows? Evidence seems to suggest lot's of starts and stops.
2. Theories abound to that question but as it is, there is no way of 100% imperially knowing as none of us where there when it happened.
@maconsumner So you acknowledge the scientific observations supporting the earth is 4.6 years, but you still need to add on an excuse. The question how long there has been life on earth is a different question, but ok, let's address that. There are answers for that. You should be able to find the answer with relative ease...
The is an overwhelming amount of evidence that reveals that humans stemmed from earlier ape types (with the apes also being different from today). Common ancestor.
@a1mint But what that doesn't explain is the precision in the stone cutting. They have tong and grove construction with close to zero error. You cannot make groves in these stones of that quality with a chisel and hammer. Today's stone saws require precision elements to them that are very new and expensive technology to achieve these results. There is also credible evidence in a ruin in India that the society was destroyed by a nuclear explosion.
@maconsumner I think I've seen this covered in a documentary where a team of people were chiseling blocks using nothing but tools and the means that could have been available at the time. The end result was a small pyramid. I think this documentary is findable. There are logical answers to the questions you're raising. Resorting to an alien-dunnit hypothesis seems absurd.
You can make straight lines by using tightened ropes running across. Keep chiseling until it's nicely parallel.
@a1mint Agree, but these dado cuts are very long, straight and square. Depths of the cut are consistent within less than a mm with literally hundreds of miles of it cut. That seems like very precise work for knuckle draggers. It's also odd that they have these structures all around the world with precise celestial alignment and no evidence that these societies had any contact with each other.
@maconsumner You're making claims here, but you should back up those claims. You need to show credible information that outlines what it is that is supposedly being done so precisely.
I think that individual blocks within a small tolerance are sufficient to build pyramids from. It's also possible that the side edge inwards sightly, to favor rounding up so that the outside of the blocks touch each other very precisely.
Again, find explanations instead of resorting to beliefs.
@maconsumner Also, I could imagine. If one slave is doing a bad job, then he would get replaced and assigned to something like the moving of the blocks or just killing him. The body counts must be been huge over all this.
Read some of Erich von Daniken's work, he makes a lot of linear sense.
@maconsumner As demonstrated, I can envision the individual blocks being cut by hand using chisels and hammer assisted with tightened ropes and flat sticks, precisely enough where they can be used to make a nice pyramid from. All I'm seeing is a *lot* of work, but no magic.
@maconsumner Each of the structures in different place of the world are different. Naturally, making large heavy buildings like pyramids take on the form of smaller at the top. Certain traits are just logical. Same laws of physics apply everywhere around the world.
Again, I'm not seeing the magic at all. Nice piece of work, lots of work, painstaking work, yes, but actual magic, no.
@a1mint I am not saying it's magic, I am however saying that the Universe is a mighty large place to believe that we are the only forms of intelligent life in it. That being the case, it's very believable that they are all at different stages of development. When you consider the breef time that humans in the form we are are have existed, it seems very plausible that we have been helped along the way and that we are being watched, be it by God or those who were present in early development.
@maconsumner I've never said that the universe doesn't have other life. There is something like 1 star in the universe for every single sand grain on every beach on earth combined. Most stars probably have multiple planets. Of course there are tons of planets out there that have all the right ingredients and conditions for life. No doubt about it.
But the problem is the distance. All the stars simply are too far away from each other for anyone to visit anyone.
@maconsumner ... ctd... here's the problem with your reasoning. You are not seeking answers to questions. You are looking for excuses to sell an absurd story of aliens assisting our world. It's no surprise that you also reach for a god, another delusion / hallucination. It's very common for people that believe in things that can not be proven, that they believe in multiple unprovable things like homeopathy for instance.
@maconsumner See, that's a more scientific approach. You look for positive evidence first. Then if that can not be found and no reasonable explanation can be found, THEN you can start to consider other hypothesis.
In the case of the pyramids, the case is closed, because positive evidence shows that pyramid building was shown to be possible in those days.
Plus the extremely un-plausibility of "aliens" being able to cross the distance between stars.
@maconsumner ... so, my problem with some people is that they choose to go on beliefs, without scrutiny whatsoever. People that side on beliefs, refuse to consider evidence that challenges or contradicts what they believe. They are more interested in protecting their beliefs as opposed to improving/fixing them. They'll never admit to anything, ever, period. Ever.
Plus they automatically accept anything from sources that they feel share their beliefs.
@a1mint I tend to be something of a problem solver by nature that doesn't engage in the true definition of "critical thinking". That concept was created by some Marxist German students in the 1920's as a tactic of radicals. Basically all that "critical thinking" does is criticizes the current state of whatever subject they are talking about without providing solutions. In short, all it is, is a fancy name for bitching.
@maconsumner You're doing nothing but making excuses here. In fact, what you did here is make a straw man argument. Do you know what a straw man fallacy is?
@animaljp3 I don't disagree with your point. Just in the history of the US, we have evidence of evolution of our species. In 1776 the average height of a adult male was about 5'6" now our average is just under 6'. There is no disputing that there is some evolution occurring. However, even Darwin disavowed his position of a single cell being the course of all life on earth before his death. BTW, Darwin's theory was very racist in nature. (off subject I know, but interesting)
@maconsumner Darwin made a good start on explaining evolution. Just because Darwin might have had an opinion about something that he could prove, doesn't mean Darwin argued against evolution. There is a lot of work long after his life. Now we have high powered microscopes, labs, various tests, and ways to organize knowledge.
Using Darwin to make an argument against the credibility of the theory of evolution is not going to work.
Darwin disavowed these ideas before his death, even at that their is far more evidence of the ancient alien theory than their is evolution. I agree that the human species has evolved some in recorded history in that we are bigger and stronger, but from monkeys? Nope, the whole species would have evolved rather than what the theory of evolution suggests. Humans had some external help with their evolution.
@maconsumner Monkeys and humans share a common ancestor. When you wind back the clock, imagine humans looking more and more animal like, with fur, and hunched over. Today's ape also was different way back when.
When you keep going back in time, at some point species converge. Hence, humans and apes share a common ancestor.
Fossils and DNA analysis support this.
I find it weird for people to discard and ridicule evidence.
Why can't your doctrine just adjust and accept evidence for crying out loud
@a1mint I can accept evidence that makes sense and has no holes in it. The Idea that we just evolved as quickly as the theory suggests without intervention of some sort is ridiculous. Their are many species that were present at the time that this theory contends we were monkeys and they remained unchanged up until now. An advanced society intervening in human development makes much more sense, and their is much more solid evidence that it did happen. all mammal share about 99% common DNA.
@maconsumner I think you are being dishonest. You're not interested in any explanation at all. You want to believe that evolution is false, period. You'll forever make excuses and will refuse, avoid, and reject any and all information that goes against your beliefs and your doctrine. Nothing that I or anyone else will tell will achieve a damn thing.
@a1mint It’s true, nothing anyone can say to me will change my un-provable position anymore than they are going to sway me to believing their un-provable position. For clarity, my position includes creationism, evolution and external intervention on our development as a species. Evolution is evident even in the last 250 years on our continent alone. 250 years ago, the average height of our forbearers was about 5’5. Our average male adult now is almost 6’.
@maconsumner we did not evolve quickly. evolution is VERY slow, and you are NOT looking close enough. EVERY organism is evolving, simply fusions of traits from parents in offspring.
Now, i'm not saying god isn't real, because i cannot prove that he isn't. And I too believe in a higher power.. .. but the bible is false. if humans are supposedly the first being created then how come we've only existed for 200,000 years when the earth is 4.6 billion years old? and think of all the life before us like um dinosaurs.. dont see that in the bible
It sad to see people lower them selves as nothing then tell people because a they don't agree with them that they are stupid. if we are all the same species then cleary you share the same tendices and intelligence. Therefore your knowledge and judgement should not be to slander others but to inform. regardless of what people say evolution and god are both theory. neither can be proven but faith alone is what people believe in. finally do what is right because it's rite. god bless.
@TaslemGuy A theory is an explanation of an observation. You're not going to get anywhere with religitards. They'll keep on distorting and warping what they observe in the world and the information that comes in gets filters and transformed in their heads to make it fit their pathetic little doctrine. Once they're brainwashed and indoctrinated, they can not change. Believe me, I've argued *thoroughly* for over 5 years with all my might. I have NEVER seen ANY of them admit ANYTHING.
In years of arguing, no progress is ever made. At least that's what it looks like.
However, there are many people with an open mind that come across this video and many many other videos where they can clearly see how absolutely ridiculous religion really is.
With all this arguing, we are, in fact, saving young people. Call us missionaries.
@a1mint I disagree, only because there are very moderate Christians who believe in a personal God but reject divine intervention and special creation.
@TaslemGuy A Christian believes in the mythical character called Jesus, and how he was born from a virgin, performed miracles, and rose from the dead. No matter how you look at it, Christians are simply unintelligent.
@TaslemGuy Try and argue with any religitard long enough, and you'll see that they're actually NOT intelligent. They might make it SEEM they're intelligent, and they have learned to pretend to SOUND and APPEAR intelligent. But once you start opening up the topics, you'll see that their brains aren't wired right. They are not capable of taking in information if that threatens the indoctrinated system they have in their heads.
@a1mint Now lets be fair here. There was a man named Jesus way back then. But, all the healing and all that crap? No way. Also the fact his last name was Christ was a coincidence and had nothing to do with Christianity. I'm a bit of a history nerd. :P Jesus is as real as Santa Claus was way back when. In fact kinda weird that Christmas has to do with a jolly fat guy AND Jesus. Two very old people who WERE real long ago that were turned into "magical" beings. Kinda weird eh?
@MCGreer93 There is no sufficient evidence that this Jesus character actually ever existed. I find it far more plausible that the entire thing, including his existence, is all just stories.
As for Santa Clause, excellent that that story is around, because it allows us to overshadow the religitard crap.
@a1mint Well there kinda is. Its called the bible. But I do understand what your saying. How can we be sure if the things in the bible are even real? Well we don't. Even though I'm sure there is old documents that are as old as the bible they say something about it. But, anyway I'm not even a God person. I believe in science because theres actull results in it. It makes sense like I don't want to believe in something that may or may not be there.
@MCGreer93 Overwhelming scientific evidence shows that practically every single claim made in the bible is either impossible or implausible.
But try to get any Christians to agree on anything. They'll just deny anything and will not admit to anything ever. They can't afford to cater to a rational discussion on the subject, because their entire little world would collapse, and they feel forced to protect that.
@a1mint Haha yea Christians are crazy. But in a way I kind of have respect for them for sticking to that stuff. But I also feel sorry for them. But whatever.
@MCGreer93 I don't have respect for sticking to their idiocy. I'm highly disappointed to see them keep themselves in the dark ages. I'm also highly offended that they manage to get tax breaks and get funds for Catholic schools. In Ontario where I am, my tax dollars, are in fact funding religious classes and creationism teaching. This is wrong and must stop.
@a1mint How can genisis not be metiphoric? it was made to change peoples religian thosounds of years ago. Talk about science in it, and no one would belive. Bible is spiritual not metiphorical. talks about sun stopping in sky, but the sun is not in the sky.
@animaljp3 Apologetic Christians will find themselves do nothing but make excuses if they want to get along with any rational intelligent critical thinking person. That's why they never get along. There is all kinds of stuff in the bible for which there are no excuses.
Genesis is particularly full of crap. It's just filled with absolutely and utter nonsense upon nonsense. Anyone contemplating otherwise is a total idiot.
@animaljp3 So, every time you get confronted with something ridiculous in the bible, you make the excuse that it's to be taken metaphorically then?
Does that include the flood, tower of babel, adam & eve, talking snake, parting sea, rising from the dead, walking on water, feeding 5000 from 5 loafs of bread, very old men, and all the rest of it?
So you admit that all these stories are too ridiculous to be taken literally then...
@a1mint most of genisis was metiphoric to show what happened to the people without any knowledge, the snake was Satan. Jesus did the rest. explain how someone can be confronted with a memory and not remember even vaugly what it is about. (The two men and "dead" Jesus.) IMatter and energy can not come from matter and energy, so how can they come from nothing?
@animaljp3 God in other places showed himself, but just does not do that anymore. He wants people to belive on their own, and not just because they see.
@a1mint 1. everyone would belive in him, and he wants from faith 2. he shown himself very rarly. #. matter/energy can not make mater/energy, how can nothing make matter?
3) when you don't understand something, you should try to look for answers instead of resorting to superstitions, doctrines, and beliefs.
I have a reasonable hypothesis. First of, if there is a god, where did this god come from. And whatever answer you come up with, could perhaps also apply to the universe. eg. "he always was, timeless, etc". Well, the universe could be that too.
@animaljp3 ... there are two concepts that are difficult to think away. First time and what it is. Next, the notion of nothing.
Time. Think of ourselves and all matter as merely particles moving around. They move around at a constant rate. Because we are made up of matter, we are confined inside that time realm. We experience things at a given rate. It's hard to describe if you were something not bound to matter of moving particles (ps. energy is the amount of motion of those particles).
@a1mint ... I don't know if you're with me on this, and if you're reading all the messages I'm typing here. But I'll continue.
Ok, time. If our brains works like a computer, with chemical and electrical reactions, all that does its thing at that constant speed. Particles move at a constant, light speed.
When you physically move really fast through space, then relative to someone else, you're internal clock slows down, but you don't notice it.
@a1mint ... because you're moving fast, the particles that you are made up of, take a longer path to circle the particles they circle. I can elaborate and point to videos of relativity to provide a better understanding.
I'm trying to explain what time is, and how we are confined in it, and how it's almost impossible to explain how something could operate outside the notion of time.
@animaljp3 ... Ok, leaving time aside for the moment. Next, the notion of nothing. Or lack thereof. It's easy to think as the lowest possible state as a big empty vacuum black dark space with nothing in it. But is that the lowest state? Consider matter and antimatter. They cancel each other out. What if, from "nothing", you can spawn a +1 and a -1 one, and then when they meet they cancel each other out again.
@animaljp3 ... why would this happen - without anything or anyone deciding it's going to happen? Why not? What's preventing a possibility from happening? In essence, anything that COULD happen, COULD happen... so long as it doesn't violate anything.
Now imagine an infinite soup of random events. Like a super space of tiny little marbles that come and go, like a boiling soup. Imagine that being the lowest possible state - the ultimate random.
@animaljp3 ... this random event driven lowest possible state (because it can because nothing is telling it it can't happen), is not driven by time. They're not particles like what we're used to seeing in matter, with electrons circling a proton/neutron core. They do whatever is possible.
Ok, then, at random, a collection of these particles happen to happen at once, and in a way where they sustain each other. In a way that brings in other particles like glue.
@animaljp3 You're not getting it. I propose that matter and energy as we know it are the artifacts that are carried by a temporary state from a temporary sustained organized state that occurred when random events made it possible.
I propose that the lowest possible state is not nothing, but the ultimate random.
You're not getting that notion. You think of nothing as a vacuum. I propose that the lowest possible state is a random white noise like events of particles that come and go.
@animaljp3 They do because they can. We naturally think of the ultimate nothing state as a vacuum, a state of rest, but perhaps that's not it. But you have to think of this outside the notion of time. When you're envisioning a space like environment with a soup of moving particles, then you're thinking inside time.
@animaljp3 Energy as we know it can be seen as particles in motion. I'm talking about a different type of particle, perhaps not even a particle, but more like a local condition, that has a completely random state.
What I'm talking about is something that's free from the confines of time, energy, and dimensions.
The fact is that we're here. The notion of the ultimate lowest state is not a black vacuum, but some sort of random quantum like events, it being the ultimate lowest state.
@animaljp3 My explanation is already a lot more plausible and reasonable than a god-dunnit claim. When asking where did this supposed god come from, setting aside the fact that there isn't any evidence of a god, then the excuses follow, like how he was always there, or he created himself. Well, why can't those stories apply to the fundamentals of the universe instead?
To me, where we come from, what made matter, isn't so much a total mystery anymore to me.
@animaljp3 In essence, it all happened, because it could. I'm contemplating that *anything* that *could* happen, *could* happen. I guess that in itself would be the ultimate rule that applies, even in the lowest possible state of the absence of anything.
The big mistake I think people make is that we think (and are scared) of the notion of nothing - but perhaps there is no such thing. Perhaps "nothing" isn't really possible.
@animaljp3 ... suddenly, this whole anxiety around "where the hell did everyone come from", completely goes away. The notion of an eternal time is eternal. The notion of time is simply a confinement, and for us, we are inside a piece of that time period.
You could ridicule this, or you could stop and think and go "hey that's interesting".
Of course I can't prove it, and it's just a wild idea. But it's an example of AN idea.
@animaljp3 You're on a completely different wave length. Your simplistic responses shows you're not grasping any of this at all. This all completely goes, zoof, right over your head.
@animaljp3 ... I'm going to throw one little kicker in there, something that's a little odd... you and I can think. We are aware that we exist. Why now, and why confined in one body in this point in time right here and right now... It kind of does not compute. It kind of does not fit in. I'm not opening any doors to any "god" notions. I simply have to be creative and give this further thought.
Anyway, are you interested in any of this, or do you want to go back to some stupid doctrine?
@animaljp3 So, just about every claim in the bible is completely correct, yet has metaphorical value. It gets weirder every minute. All these ridiculous explanations and threats and intimidations in the bible, yet none of is correct because it's all just metaphorical. Go and explain that in a church.
Wow,you mean that you can account for the "kaboom" in the evolution theory? Finally someone who understands how life got here. Please inform me on how life originated.OHh ok you dont know but it is and has been, the miracle in evolution is just as big on faith as God. 48 million differences between human and chimps, change even one thing what happens to the chimp,IT DIES.Sorry i guess you dont have the proof after all.Look in th bible it has the answer.
@clawedification So you throw out all science and discoveries and knowledge, just because you think there parts of it that you don't understand, and replace it with a bronze age myth. Why?
Firstly i never said i dont believe that science is all wrong.Last time I checked it was the information age and the bible is still here, so bronze age myth? I would love to hear how you think spontaneous generation occurred,if ive not understood then help me out.Did you take the time to read a modern translation of the dead sea scrolls,if you haven't let me tell you that it explains God in scientific terms that are way ahead of the time.In the beginning God created time space matter.
@clawedification Many people choose to use the information wisely and discovered that religion, Christianity, the Bible, Islam, the Quran, and all the rest of it are just dumb. Others were not able to shake their indoctrinated brainwashed crap that's been planted in their heads. They choose to only assign validity to sources that they think share their beliefs. Humans are very impressionable and are very susceptible to be programmed with a belief that then is hard to shake, like a disease.
@clawedification Now about your little scrolls. Fragments of various document full of gaps completely open to anyone's own interpretation, and the lack of any mention of this guy named "Jesus". It's like me shedding up a book and giving you only 5% of it leaving you to fill in the rest.
Plus there is all this secrecy preventing outsiders from examining it.
@a1mint No really read the translations, for this reason you should know that language changes and you in fact have not taken into account that you are reading material written down before the advent of modern terms. You discredit these things before you know what they are.The idea that outsiders can not view it only correlates to atheist wanting it removed theifs of truth and other things that have been destroyed by your false faith. It does profisize Jesus you are a biblical hack.
@clawedification There isn't anything credible written in any old documents about how the world came to be.
Some old document might report, like news, about some event that took place. Like a forest fire, or a LOCAL flood. A writer the writes up a whole story about some sort of divinely god doing grandiose things.
Then people today, like you, actually believe in the fantasy stories that that person write so long ago.
@a1mint What book can you read that tells the future?I have seen these things come and go and i know it has a definate app.So where do your beliefs take you? I think you are great and hold you as high as one of my own children and yet you see no goodness in my way this is what you need to realize in order to commit your life to something. In total you are destroying yourself Afraid that we are right is where i stand on all this its evident you dont even know yourself.
@clawedification Fortune telling isn't rational. However, based on evidence, some things can be predicted with a great deal of accuracy and confidence. For instance, we know that oil will run out. We know the Sun will eventually make the earth too hot to sustain life.
I don't go on beliefs, I go on evidence. When presented with information, I assign a level of certainty.
I'm quite certain that water is wet and that the theory of gravity is correct.
@a1mint Ohhhh... water where did this come from? It just seems a little odd that 99.9% of all the water in the known universe is on earth, weird isnt it. How does one make life without water and how does one make life in the existance of oxygen? Water is h.2 o.in case you dont know water is 2 parts oxygen.acount for this then logical gaint. This is all correct to say,how does one believe we came from water but oxygen ruins the possabilty of it forming itself?hmmmmmmmmmmm.....
@clawedification That's not true at all! You really haven't at all actually looked and examined the information, have you? You *actually* hear one little comment made on a religious Christian blog, and you immediately accept whatever false claim they make. Again, you only accept information from source you think share you beliefs.
@clawedification Let me address your water misconception. Read slowly, you might not get it right away.
The earth is in what's called a Goldilocks zone. Not too close to, and not too far from the Sun. Water is abundant in the universe. It's all over. We can see that by analyzing wave lengths. We also know how hydrogen was an early main component of the matter than existed and how a star through fusion forms heavier elements.
Oxygen is plentyful. Hydrogen + Oxygen = water. Water is plentiful.
@clawedification So, it seems you haven't read or examined scientific information about the subject at all. Why don't you actually read about it? I actually mean this in a constructive way! It's really very interesting.
See, inside a star there is an enormous amount of heat and pressure. Under those condition you get fusion, where hydrogen forms helium, and more and more elements. Then under the pressure a star explodes and in the process can form very heavy elements like iron.
@a1mint This all depends on collisions that in turn would be counterproductive.Show me an example of two things colliding and creating order by this.Again i have looked at it and do understand that it is speculation based on more speculation that in turn is in its purest form an idea not fact. The earth is way to diverse to have come from any kind of explosion. Again if you read there is no way to confirm this idea water is here and scarce in the rest of the universe, its all an idea not fact.
@clawedification And no, the earth did not suddenly emerge from a single explosion. It formed slowly. All the right conditions happened for life to start and for it to successfully evolve over all that time.
The universe has countless billions of galaxies each with countless billions of stars, many of them with various planets. Many of them HAVE to have the right conditions.
Let me make a stab at the number of planets in the universe:
10,000,000,000,000,000,000 possibly, likely many many more.
@clawedification ... so that means that if one planet isn't just right, there are plenty of other planets as candidates.
Large numbers and long periods of time are concepts that apparently are very difficult to grasp by religious people.
And *NO* water is *NOT* "scarce* in the universe. It's very very VERY common. Just about every comet has a ton of water. In fact, they think that a good portion of earth's water came from comets.
@clawedification I don't know everything about it, but enough to have an idea of how all the different materials, elements, got started. Of course, the question of where did the starting element(s) come from. That is a good question and we don't know the absolute answer. But that's ok, we learn more as time goes on. People are very busy on the subject. It's fascinating stuff.
Another interesting idea is quantum theories and possibilities.
The ultimate random being the lowest possible state.
@a1mint Time god is not valid as no one claims to know what happened in the distant past. Its interesting how you say physics is a big part of it,do you know what holds us together? In case you dont it is photons or light, the bible clearly states we are children of light. It is also the first thing in creation. How do you propose that early man new such things? Again i try to appeal a rational argument that the bible holds information that is indeed correct. Pointing out this one from hundreds.
@clawedification Noone knows, but there are interesting ideas out there. The quest is for evidence that backs some of these ideas. The Hedron Collider is one of those experiments. They're exploring various forces that are not normally detectable.
It's really very stupid to refer to something like a Bible and then make a wild ridiculous claim like "photons" is what holds us together. First of that is definitely not written in there, and second, that idea is completely ludicrous.
@a1mint Does light hold all things together? Does God say let there be light? Does the bible also say we are children of it? Sorry but to most of the thinking community can plainly see that this is in fact the words in there right order. I suggest you look into this and you will find that im telling you the truth.Well until then i care not to argue as i might be subject to becoming a fool.
@clawedification There is no evidence for the existence of a god or gods. You said that light holds us all together, and you made a complete fool making such a silly claim.
A scientific approach would have been something like "various sources of information all suggest that light is keeping everything together. Some examples of experiments revealing that are this and that, which you can read more about here and there". But of course, the religitard you really are, NOTHING backing up your CRAP!
@a1mint Ok lets see ummm..as a stupid christian that is an obvious joke i would have to say science is observation based on facts and test to prove a hypothesis. This does not mean you have to be an atheist or evolutionist to engage in the pursuit of TRUTH. Are you laughing i hope so.I am completely honored in the fact that i can make an obviously smarter being so amused like a little kitten makes a young girl smile. Its nice to be of service to the time God evolutionist.
@clawedification Evolution is backed by lots of evidence. You haven't seen or considered that evidence, clearly, because you're not interesting in anything that contradicts or challenges your doctrine. Instead, you blindly accept any information that comes from sources that you think share your beliefs.
Science *definitely* pursues the truth. The Bible *definitely* however, does not.
@clawedification And here, you can amuse yourself about how evolution works, and the various types of evidence you can find backing it up, here: evolution(dot)berkeley(dot)edu
Happy studying. But of course, you discard any and all information that is outside the sources driven by the weird bizarre fucked up doctrine you subscribe to.
You're ill. They should rename churches mental institutions.
@clawedification And if the ultimate quantum soup of random is the absolute lowest state, with no time, space, definition of anything, then perhaps that can spawn something that can persist and spread. Perhaps there wasn't an actual big bang, but an expanding sphere, where on the edges of that expanding sphere matter was deposited.
It's not something I can prove, but it's one of the many ideas out there.
@clawedification And like any other religious person, you will not scrutinize any information that challenges or contradicts your doctrine. You will accept any information from sources that you think share you beliefs, without question, and immediately as valid.
You and science are like oil and water. They just can't mix.
@clawedification And what a pathetic excuse. You religious nuts are scared that something negative can be said about your doctrine, so you keep all your little "enemies" out.
Face it, religion is all about manipulation. It uses and abuses and exploits mankind's weaknesses and gullibility.
@a1mint Well maybe you feel that way but what i see and do are way different. My wife feeds the guy next door because he lost his job and we also pulled together an effort to save his home.LOVE THY NEIGHBOR.We make constant appeals to many people in our community to better the living conditions in our area, evne the atheist and satanist there are none left out i seem to have a hard time with the idea that these things are bad.Help me out if you can.
@clawedification Morals are a normal natural human value. Religious people, Christians or not, can not claim any ownership on this.
I commend you and your wife for helping out another in need, that's really great, and courageous. You must also have your struggles in life.
But this has nothing to do with Atheists, Agnostics, or Religion. As humans, as a species, operate at teams, in packs, we all collectively thrive. Alone we can't do anything.
Well you got the point as most see it as a lie or an attempt to take away their view or discredit what conclusion one may come to. The values I hold dearly came after my failure to see,as i admit to atheism when i was uninformed. The things that come to light are not a result of science or any other man made idea.Truth is in the eyes of the beholder. The reality is subject to the view,if you are looking for flaws you will find them, but this may not be the case in another view.
@clawedification And then there is verifiable science. Findings. Observations. Experiments proving how something can be.
It is absolutely silly for Christians or any other religious people to defend things that clearly are absolutely false, and to completely contradict science. And that's not actually about a god or gods.
What's silly are the stories in the Bible, it's not sane.
I think you're making a point, but proving the Theory of Evolution by bringing up nothing more than one example (comparing us with the apes) doesnt make the cut. But still!
Humans are not evolving. All we ever see is variation in the genome, like differences in eye color, or skin color, height, weight, variances in abilities, such as music and athleticism. These differences have always been expressed within the genome. None of this is evolution. The folks who built the pyramids are no different from us genetically, other than they probably had a few less deleterious mutations. We haven't improved genetically since humans first appeared on the earth.
Google first mammals and you'll find that evolutionary theory teaches they were ancient shrews. From these ancient shrews are descended all other mammals - elephants, tigers, hippos, squirrels, and, yes, even giraffes and people. The patients are running the asylum. This theory isn't remotely scientific. It is a fairy tale for adults!
It is important to understand that there is a BIG, BIG difference between religious belief systems and science. Science is a tool used to solve problems. Religious belief systems are stories you believe in. You don't believe in your hammer, you use it to solve problems. Likewise, you don't believe in evolutionary theory, rather; you use it to solve problems. What you DON'T do is "believe" or confuse science for "truth".
The natural order of life's genomes is to go from a state of order to less order. A simple brain does not evolve into a complex brain. See Cornell University's Dr. John Sanford, Genetic Entropy and The Mystery of The Genome. The human genome is deteriorating via the accumulation of mutations. Overall, mutations have the sum impact of being deleterious. Macro evolution is a fairy tale. Atheism is moronic.
Humans related to other primates? All primates have a penile bone, except humans. The clitoris in human females is located at the top of the vagina. In other primates it is located at the bottom of the vagina. Not related.

@gonzalezs2288 If you don't understand or know what the theory of evolution proposes , why do you comment on it ? You're not a scientist. You don't understand what a scientific theory is. You have no idea what science is or does. What you do understand is that better educated people have come up with something that conflicts with your unfounded, unjustifiable beliefs. Hence, you attack out of fear .
The test of any theory is whether or not it provides answers to basic questions. Some well-meaning but misguided people think evolution is a reasonable theory to explain man’s questions about the universe. Evolution is not a good theory—it is just a pagan religion masquerading as science.
@SwordofSpirit1 - If you don't understand or know what the theory of evolution proposes , why do you comment on it ? You're not a scientist. You don't understand what a scientific theory is. You have no idea what science is or does. What you do understand is that better educated people have come up with something that conflicts with your unfounded, unjustifiable beliefs. @MaitreyaRocket I know what evolution, science, geography, history, creation, deism, agnosticism, atheism, religion, lies from Satan, and on an on down the line just like the next person with a God-given intellect. Get off your high horse, YOU DO NOT KNOW EVERYTHING just because you FEEL FREE TO ATTACK MY COMMENT. It's one thing to ask me questions concerning my comment, BUT ANOTHER TO ATTACK. Give me a break. You're nothing other than a troublemaker!
@SwordofSpirit1 - No one attacked you. I did ask you questions. You won't answer them. You openly displayed your ignorance of what science is & does. You don't know what evolution is or how it works. You were told it conflicts with your faith & you dismissed it with insight.
You don't make derogatory comments to a person about their comment. I don't even have time for this stupid nonsense of parenting you. A debate is not someone attacking another's comment; it is JUVENILE to pull something like that. A debate is questioning and answering, not assailing. Don't act like you don't know what I'm saying, I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT.
I don't want to hear from you. YOU ARE A LITTLE KID!!!
@MaitreyaRocket I do know the purpose. Who do you think you are, God???? You people kill me. evoltion is the easiest subject out there, but science community people obviously think they are the authority on science. GUESS WHAT? YOU COULN'T BE MORE COLLUDED. Evolution is a very elementary (that means basic) subject that doesn't deserve all your hateful comment toward me. You're very UGLY.
THIS IS THE MOST STUPID VIDEO I HAVE EVER SEEN. WHOEVER MADE THIS VIDEO, HIS PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS AND ANCESTORS MUST BE APES WHO MUST HAVE FUCKED APES TO PRODUCE THIS MONKEY TO MADE THIS CRAP. Our average male adult now is almost 6’.
maconsumner 3 days ago
@maconsumner The theory of evolution is based on evidence based science. Creationism is not based on any evidence at all. Do you accept this?
a1mint 3 days ago 3
@a1mint Yes, faith is based on belief in those things not seen. A little 500 character blurb on youtube is not going to shake my faith my friend. As I said, I believe that all of the factors come into play here, including an advanced societies’ intervention on our species. There seems to be far more evidence of that than any other theory. We can see the Pyramids all over the planet and know that when they were constructed, humans didn’t have the engineering expertise to accomplish this.
maconsumner 3 days ago
@maconsumner When you see something that you don't understand, instead of fantasizing an answer that you think suits you, next time, you might want to learn about the subject you're making claims about. If you don't, you'll end with these silly superstitious delusional ideas.
a1mint 3 days ago
@a1mint Sorry, I thought this was a civil conversation. If you feel the need to berate or belittle people because of a differing view of things, then perhaps we should not have this conversation. You are talking like there are only two theories, Creationism and Evolution, while there are many more. I just provided a 3rd theory that has credibility and you have completely ignored it. I get it, you believe what you believe and your not a very open minded person.
maconsumner 2 days ago
@maconsumner You are offending science, common sense, and rational thinking, by making unsubstantiated claims that attempt to reduce existing knowledge by suggesting it's not valid, to help create wiggle room to weasel your religious nonsense to the surface. It's not going to work. Evolution if very backed by a an overwhelming amount of science. Science based evidence. Arguing against it at this is absolutely absurd. You need to learn to live WITH that evidence, NOT deny it !
a1mint 2 days ago
@maconsumner One major thing that set me off was your claim how pyramids could not have been built by humans unassisted. How on earth could you make that claim? Any normal rational thinking person knows what humans build it. The challenge is to find out HOW they built it. Those are answers you can look for.
But you instead claim how people did not have the skills to build it.
That is an attempt to weasel through supernatural superstitions.
And that is offensive.
a1mint 2 days ago
@a1mint Ok, there is a village in Mexico with a similar type of pyramid. Within it is stone cutting that is so precise that while it could be done with today's tools, it would be extraordinary expensive. The theory of evolution aside, if we at 5000 years ago had that technology to not just cut these stones that are 100's of tons, but lift them into place with complete precision that you can't even get a piece of paper between, how did we loose it? Did we evolve, then de-evolve then re-evolve?
maconsumner 2 days ago
@maconsumner Could you provide a link to a credible source that has something to say about the Mexican pyramics?
If a society has the drive to do complex things and then a later society does not have that drive, then that is in itself no de-evolving.
a1mint 2 days ago
@a1mint historicmysteries com/evidence-of-aliens-from-ancient-times
Add the dot where appropriate. Credible seems to be a relative term in this discussion when you consider that we are talking about theories. You can Google "ancient aliens architecture" and there is volumes of work on the topic. I am not saying this is so, but it is interesting.
maconsumner 2 days ago
@maconsumner link didn't work, but was able to fix it. Youtube intentionally obscures what it thinks are links. Copy past to an editor, you'll see at least one character replaced with a two character sequence, that at first glance looks ok, but when you copy-paste it to the address bar, it won't work. The slash sets off that youtube filter.
The way I copy-paste links is by replacing . with (dot) and / with (slash), which has worked so far. Just a tip.
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint Ok, re historicmysteries(dot)com(slash)evidence-of-aliens-from-ancient-times
First, the site's product is to sell what they think people would believe are mysteries. It's not a science based source of information site at all.
The article asks the question how people built the pyramids. Instead of trying to answer it, it doesn't, and assumes that aliens must have done it. Absurd and not scientific what-so-ever.
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint I know, I don't know why they don't like people posting links. In this case it helps with the interest of the conversation. BTW, you are talking about this in a respectful fashion and I appreciate that very much. In real life, though we do not agree on this subject, I think we could have some very good discussions and become friends because of your civil tone while still disagreeing.
maconsumner 1 day ago
@maconsumner You're disagreeing with evidence based science.
Let me ask you a few questions:
- how old do you think the world is?
- where did humans come from?
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint To your questions:
1. Geologic evidence seems to suggest around 4.6 billion years, but really it has to do with how the question is prefaced. If you are asking how long the each has been inhabited with life, who knows? Evidence seems to suggest lot's of starts and stops.
2. Theories abound to that question but as it is, there is no way of 100% imperially knowing as none of us where there when it happened.
maconsumner 1 day ago
@maconsumner So you acknowledge the scientific observations supporting the earth is 4.6 years, but you still need to add on an excuse. The question how long there has been life on earth is a different question, but ok, let's address that. There are answers for that. You should be able to find the answer with relative ease...
The is an overwhelming amount of evidence that reveals that humans stemmed from earlier ape types (with the apes also being different from today). Common ancestor.
a1mint 1 day ago
@maconsumner
sciencedaily(dot)com(slash)releases(slash)2008(slash)03(slash)080328104302(dot)htm
"Teams of oxen or manpower were used to drag the stones on a prepared slipway that was lubricated with oil."
"ramps were built to get them into place on the pyramid"
"20 of my workers at an archaeological dig site pulling up a two-and-a-half ton granite block"
There are also documentaries made of teams using ancient methods to build a small scale pyramid to prove that is was possible.
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint But what that doesn't explain is the precision in the stone cutting. They have tong and grove construction with close to zero error. You cannot make groves in these stones of that quality with a chisel and hammer. Today's stone saws require precision elements to them that are very new and expensive technology to achieve these results. There is also credible evidence in a ruin in India that the society was destroyed by a nuclear explosion.
maconsumner 1 day ago
@maconsumner I think I've seen this covered in a documentary where a team of people were chiseling blocks using nothing but tools and the means that could have been available at the time. The end result was a small pyramid. I think this documentary is findable. There are logical answers to the questions you're raising. Resorting to an alien-dunnit hypothesis seems absurd.
You can make straight lines by using tightened ropes running across. Keep chiseling until it's nicely parallel.
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint Agree, but these dado cuts are very long, straight and square. Depths of the cut are consistent within less than a mm with literally hundreds of miles of it cut. That seems like very precise work for knuckle draggers. It's also odd that they have these structures all around the world with precise celestial alignment and no evidence that these societies had any contact with each other.
maconsumner 1 day ago
@maconsumner You're making claims here, but you should back up those claims. You need to show credible information that outlines what it is that is supposedly being done so precisely.
I think that individual blocks within a small tolerance are sufficient to build pyramids from. It's also possible that the side edge inwards sightly, to favor rounding up so that the outside of the blocks touch each other very precisely.
Again, find explanations instead of resorting to beliefs.
a1mint 1 day ago
@maconsumner Also, I could imagine. If one slave is doing a bad job, then he would get replaced and assigned to something like the moving of the blocks or just killing him. The body counts must be been huge over all this.
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint Agree, but these dado cuts are very long, straight and square. Depths of the cut are consistent within less than a mm with literally hundreds of miles of it cut. That seems like very precise work for knuckle draggers. It's also odd that they have these structures all around the world with precise celestial alignment and no evidence that these societies had any contact with each other. Read some of Erich von Daniken's work, he makes a lot of linear sense.
maconsumner 1 day ago
@maconsumner As demonstrated, I can envision the individual blocks being cut by hand using chisels and hammer assisted with tightened ropes and flat sticks, precisely enough where they can be used to make a nice pyramid from. All I'm seeing is a *lot* of work, but no magic.
a1mint 1 day ago
@maconsumner Each of the structures in different place of the world are different. Naturally, making large heavy buildings like pyramids take on the form of smaller at the top. Certain traits are just logical. Same laws of physics apply everywhere around the world.
Again, I'm not seeing the magic at all. Nice piece of work, lots of work, painstaking work, yes, but actual magic, no.
a1mint 1 day ago 2
@a1mint I am not saying it's magic, I am however saying that the Universe is a mighty large place to believe that we are the only forms of intelligent life in it. That being the case, it's very believable that they are all at different stages of development. When you consider the breef time that humans in the form we are are have existed, it seems very plausible that we have been helped along the way and that we are being watched, be it by God or those who were present in early development.
maconsumner 1 day ago
@maconsumner I've never said that the universe doesn't have other life. There is something like 1 star in the universe for every single sand grain on every beach on earth combined. Most stars probably have multiple planets. Of course there are tons of planets out there that have all the right ingredients and conditions for life. No doubt about it.
But the problem is the distance. All the stars simply are too far away from each other for anyone to visit anyone.
a1mint 1 day ago
@maconsumner ... ctd... here's the problem with your reasoning. You are not seeking answers to questions. You are looking for excuses to sell an absurd story of aliens assisting our world. It's no surprise that you also reach for a god, another delusion / hallucination. It's very common for people that believe in things that can not be proven, that they believe in multiple unprovable things like homeopathy for instance.
a1mint 1 day ago
@maconsumner See, that's a more scientific approach. You look for positive evidence first. Then if that can not be found and no reasonable explanation can be found, THEN you can start to consider other hypothesis.
In the case of the pyramids, the case is closed, because positive evidence shows that pyramid building was shown to be possible in those days.
Plus the extremely un-plausibility of "aliens" being able to cross the distance between stars.
But the positive evidence does it here.
a1mint 1 day ago
@maconsumner ... so, my problem with some people is that they choose to go on beliefs, without scrutiny whatsoever.
Zero scrutiny, zero critical thinking.
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint I tend to be something of a problem solver by nature that doesn't engage in the true definition of "critical thinking". That concept was created by some Marxist German students in the 1920's as a tactic of radicals. Basically all that "critical thinking" does is criticizes the current state of whatever subject they are talking about without providing solutions. In short, all it is, is a fancy name for bitching.
maconsumner 1 day ago
@maconsumner You're doing nothing but making excuses here. In fact, what you did here is make a straw man argument. Do you know what a straw man fallacy is?
a1mint 1 day ago
@maconsumner THIS IS NOT EVOLUTION!!!!! evolution occures with genes and traits, not mind set. diffrent ways of thinking will get diffrent results
animaljp3 1 day ago
@animaljp3 I don't disagree with your point. Just in the history of the US, we have evidence of evolution of our species. In 1776 the average height of a adult male was about 5'6" now our average is just under 6'. There is no disputing that there is some evolution occurring. However, even Darwin disavowed his position of a single cell being the course of all life on earth before his death. BTW, Darwin's theory was very racist in nature. (off subject I know, but interesting)
maconsumner 1 day ago
@maconsumner Darwin made a good start on explaining evolution. Just because Darwin might have had an opinion about something that he could prove, doesn't mean Darwin argued against evolution. There is a lot of work long after his life. Now we have high powered microscopes, labs, various tests, and ways to organize knowledge.
Using Darwin to make an argument against the credibility of the theory of evolution is not going to work.
a1mint 1 day ago
Im a big believe in Christianity and evolution only that God created us through evolution
KylitoBonVeto 5 days ago
@KylitoBonVeto There is no evidence that a god was involved anywhere along the way. We've discovered quite a bit how humans and other species evolved.
If you want to believe in a god, that's fine. But what makes no sense is if you discard and reject evidence based science.
It's your challenge to accept and adopt that evidence and adjust your beliefs accordingly.
a1mint 4 days ago
Finally! I have found smart people!
KylitoBonVeto 5 days ago
Darwin disavowed these ideas before his death, even at that their is far more evidence of the ancient alien theory than their is evolution. I agree that the human species has evolved some in recorded history in that we are bigger and stronger, but from monkeys? Nope, the whole species would have evolved rather than what the theory of evolution suggests. Humans had some external help with their evolution.
maconsumner 1 week ago
@maconsumner monkeys have opposable thumbs like us. and all the things that make us both mammals.
animaljp3 4 days ago
@maconsumner Monkeys and humans share a common ancestor. When you wind back the clock, imagine humans looking more and more animal like, with fur, and hunched over. Today's ape also was different way back when.
When you keep going back in time, at some point species converge. Hence, humans and apes share a common ancestor.
Fossils and DNA analysis support this.
I find it weird for people to discard and ridicule evidence.
Why can't your doctrine just adjust and accept evidence for crying out loud
a1mint 4 days ago
@a1mint I can accept evidence that makes sense and has no holes in it. The Idea that we just evolved as quickly as the theory suggests without intervention of some sort is ridiculous. Their are many species that were present at the time that this theory contends we were monkeys and they remained unchanged up until now. An advanced society intervening in human development makes much more sense, and their is much more solid evidence that it did happen. all mammal share about 99% common DNA.
maconsumner 3 days ago
@maconsumner I think you are being dishonest. You're not interested in any explanation at all. You want to believe that evolution is false, period. You'll forever make excuses and will refuse, avoid, and reject any and all information that goes against your beliefs and your doctrine. Nothing that I or anyone else will tell will achieve a damn thing.

However, there are many people with an open mind that come across this video and many many other videos where they can clearly see how absolutely ridiculous religion really is.
With all this arguing, we are, in fact, saving young people. Call us missionaries.
a1mint 7 months ago 2
Arguing with Christians is like shooting fish in a barrel.
Number of intelligent Christians: N O N E ! ! ! Absolutely N O N E ! ! !
a1mint 7 months ago 6
@a1mint I disagree, only because there are very moderate Christians who believe in a personal God but reject divine intervention and special creation.
TaslemGuy 2 months ago
@TaslemGuy A Christian believes in the mythical character called Jesus, and how he was born from a virgin, performed miracles, and rose from the dead. No matter how you look at it, Christians are simply unintelligent.
a1mint 2 months ago
@a1mint I disagree. It's superstitious, not unintelligent.
TaslemGuy 2 months ago
@TaslemGuy Try and argue with any religitard long enough, and you'll see that they're actually NOT intelligent. They might make it SEEM they're intelligent, and they have learned to pretend to SOUND and APPEAR intelligent. But once you start opening up the topics, you'll see that their brains aren't wired right. They are not capable of taking in information if that threatens the indoctrinated system they have in their heads.
a1mint 2 months ago 2
@a1mint Now lets be fair here. There was a man named Jesus way back then. But, all the healing and all that crap? No way. Also the fact his last name was Christ was a coincidence and had nothing to do with Christianity. I'm a bit of a history nerd. :P Jesus is as real as Santa Claus was way back when. In fact kinda weird that Christmas has to do with a jolly fat guy AND Jesus. Two very old people who WERE real long ago that were turned into "magical" beings. Kinda weird eh?
MCGreer93 1 month ago
@MCGreer93 There is no sufficient evidence that this Jesus character actually ever existed. I find it far more plausible that the entire thing, including his existence, is all just stories.
As for Santa Clause, excellent that that story is around, because it allows us to overshadow the religitard crap.
a1mint 1 month ago 2
@a1mint Well there kinda is. Its called the bible. But I do understand what your saying. How can we be sure if the things in the bible are even real? Well we don't. Even though I'm sure there is old documents that are as old as the bible they say something about it. But, anyway I'm not even a God person. I believe in science because theres actull results in it. It makes sense like I don't want to believe in something that may or may not be there.
MCGreer93 1 month ago
@MCGreer93 Overwhelming scientific evidence shows that practically every single claim made in the bible is either impossible or implausible.
But try to get any Christians to agree on anything. They'll just deny anything and will not admit to anything ever. They can't afford to cater to a rational discussion on the subject, because their entire little world would collapse, and they feel forced to protect that.
a1mint 1 month ago
@a1mint Haha yea Christians are crazy. But in a way I kind of have respect for them for sticking to that stuff. But I also feel sorry for them. But whatever.
MCGreer93 1 month ago
@MCGreer93 I don't have respect for sticking to their idiocy. I'm highly disappointed to see them keep themselves in the dark ages. I'm also highly offended that they manage to get tax breaks and get funds for Catholic schools. In Ontario where I am, my tax dollars, are in fact funding religious classes and creationism teaching. This is wrong and must stop.

animaljp3 4 days ago
@animaljp3 So how do you decide what parts of the bible to believe and what parts not to believe?
a1mint 4 days ago
@a1mint How can genisis not be metiphoric? it was made to change peoples religian thosounds of years ago. Talk about science in it, and no one would belive. Bible is spiritual not metiphorical. talks about sun stopping in sky, but the sun is not in the sky.
animaljp3 4 days ago
@animaljp3 Apologetic Christians will find themselves do nothing but make excuses if they want to get along with any rational intelligent critical thinking person. That's why they never get along. There is all kinds of stuff in the bible for which there are no excuses.
Genesis is particularly full of crap. It's just filled with absolutely and utter nonsense upon nonsense. Anyone contemplating otherwise is a total idiot.
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint Genisis is full of metiphors, so people 1000s of years ago can understand what is going on.
animaljp3 1 day ago
@animaljp3 So, every time you get confronted with something ridiculous in the bible, you make the excuse that it's to be taken metaphorically then?
Does that include the flood, tower of babel, adam & eve, talking snake, parting sea, rising from the dead, walking on water, feeding 5000 from 5 loafs of bread, very old men, and all the rest of it?
So you admit that all these stories are too ridiculous to be taken literally then...
That's it? That's how you fix it? Really?
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint most of genisis was metiphoric to show what happened to the people without any knowledge, the snake was Satan. Jesus did the rest. explain how someone can be confronted with a memory and not remember even vaugly what it is about. (The two men and "dead" Jesus.) IMatter and energy can not come from matter and energy, so how can they come from nothing?
animaljp3 1 day ago
@animaljp3 God in other places showed himself, but just does not do that anymore. He wants people to belive on their own, and not just because they see.
animaljp3 1 day ago
@animaljp3 Is that another excuse? God "used to" show himself but "not anymore"?
Has it occurred to you at all, that you might just be a tad delusional and suffer from hallucinations?
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint 1. everyone would belive in him, and he wants from faith 2. he shown himself very rarly. #. matter/energy can not make mater/energy, how can nothing make matter?
animaljp3 1 day ago
@animaljp3
1) a hallucination on your part.
2) another delusion on your part.
Well, the universe could be that too.
a1mint 1 day ago
@animaljp3 ... there are two concepts that are difficult to think away. First time and what it is. Next, the notion of nothing.
Time. Think of ourselves and all matter as merely particles moving around. They move around at a constant rate. Because we are made up of matter, we are confined inside that time realm. We experience things at a given rate. It's hard to describe if you were something not bound to matter of moving particles (ps. energy is the amount of motion of those particles).
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint ... I don't know if you're with me on this, and if you're reading all the messages I'm typing here. But I'll continue.
Ok, time. If our brains works like a computer, with chemical and electrical reactions, all that does its thing at that constant speed. Particles move at a constant, light speed.
When you physically move really fast through space, then relative to someone else, you're internal clock slows down, but you don't notice it.
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint ... because you're moving fast, the particles that you are made up of, take a longer path to circle the particles they circle. I can elaborate and point to videos of relativity to provide a better understanding.
I'm trying to explain what time is, and how we are confined in it, and how it's almost impossible to explain how something could operate outside the notion of time.
a1mint 1 day ago
@animaljp3 ... Ok, leaving time aside for the moment. Next, the notion of nothing. Or lack thereof. It's easy to think as the lowest possible state as a big empty vacuum black dark space with nothing in it. But is that the lowest state? Consider matter and antimatter. They cancel each other out. What if, from "nothing", you can spawn a +1 and a -1 one, and then when they meet they cancel each other out again.
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint that is balance, not proof that this world does not exist.
animaljp3 19 hours ago
@animaljp3 You're not getting it.
a1mint 18 hours ago
@animaljp3 ... why would this happen - without anything or anyone deciding it's going to happen? Why not? What's preventing a possibility from happening? In essence, anything that COULD happen, COULD happen... so long as it doesn't violate anything.
Now imagine an infinite soup of random events. Like a super space of tiny little marbles that come and go, like a boiling soup. Imagine that being the lowest possible state - the ultimate random.
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint the prevention is something can not be made from nothing.
animaljp3 18 hours ago
@animaljp3 you're not getting any of this.
a1mint 18 hours ago
@animaljp3 ... this random event driven lowest possible state (because it can because nothing is telling it it can't happen), is not driven by time. They're not particles like what we're used to seeing in matter, with electrons circling a proton/neutron core. They do whatever is possible.
Ok, then, at random, a collection of these particles happen to happen at once, and in a way where they sustain each other. In a way that brings in other particles like glue.
Poof, big bang.
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint were did the matter come from in the first place?
animaljp3 18 hours ago
@animaljp3 You're not getting it. I propose that matter and energy as we know it are the artifacts that are carried by a temporary state from a temporary sustained organized state that occurred when random events made it possible.
I propose that the lowest possible state is not nothing, but the ultimate random.
You're not getting that notion. You think of nothing as a vacuum. I propose that the lowest possible state is a random white noise like events of particles that come and go.
a1mint 18 hours ago
@a1mint fine, how did those random states happen?
animaljp3 17 hours ago
@animaljp3 They do because they can. We naturally think of the ultimate nothing state as a vacuum, a state of rest, but perhaps that's not it. But you have to think of this outside the notion of time. When you're envisioning a space like environment with a soup of moving particles, then you're thinking inside time.
a1mint 14 hours ago
@a1mint the random states A. need some type of energy and B. some type of something
animaljp3 14 hours ago
@animaljp3 Energy as we know it can be seen as particles in motion. I'm talking about a different type of particle, perhaps not even a particle, but more like a local condition, that has a completely random state.
What I'm talking about is something that's free from the confines of time, energy, and dimensions.
The fact is that we're here. The notion of the ultimate lowest state is not a black vacuum, but some sort of random quantum like events, it being the ultimate lowest state.
a1mint 8 hours ago
@animaljp3 My explanation is already a lot more plausible and reasonable than a god-dunnit claim. When asking where did this supposed god come from, setting aside the fact that there isn't any evidence of a god, then the excuses follow, like how he was always there, or he created himself. Well, why can't those stories apply to the fundamentals of the universe instead?
To me, where we come from, what made matter, isn't so much a total mystery anymore to me.
a1mint 8 hours ago
@animaljp3 In essence, it all happened, because it could. I'm contemplating that *anything* that *could* happen, *could* happen. I guess that in itself would be the ultimate rule that applies, even in the lowest possible state of the absence of anything.
The big mistake I think people make is that we think (and are scared) of the notion of nothing - but perhaps there is no such thing. Perhaps "nothing" isn't really possible.
a1mint 8 hours ago
@animaljp3 ... suddenly, this whole anxiety around "where the hell did everyone come from", completely goes away. The notion of an eternal time is eternal. The notion of time is simply a confinement, and for us, we are inside a piece of that time period.
You could ridicule this, or you could stop and think and go "hey that's interesting".
Of course I can't prove it, and it's just a wild idea. But it's an example of AN idea.
It's what happens when you think freely.
a1mint 1 day ago
@a1mint it is PUTTING OF the creation of everything, not the actual beginning
animaljp3 18 hours ago
@animaljp3 You're on a completely different wave length. Your simplistic responses shows you're not grasping any of this at all. This all completely goes, zoof, right over your head.
a1mint 18 hours ago
@animaljp3 ...
Anyway, are you interested in any of this, or do you want to go back to some stupid doctrine?
a1mint 1 day ago
@animaljp3 So, just about every claim in the bible is completely correct, yet has metaphorical value. It gets weirder every minute. All these ridiculous explanations and threats and intimidations in the bible, yet none of is correct because it's all just metaphorical. Go and explain that in a church.
a1mint 1 day ago

Why?
a1mint 7 months ago 5
Firstly i never said i dont believe that science is all wrong.Last time I checked it was the information age and the bible is still here, so bronze age myth? I would love to hear how you think spontaneous generation occurred,if ive not understood then help me out.Did you take the time to read a modern translation of the dead sea scrolls,if you haven't let me tell you that it explains God in scientific terms that are way ahead of the time.In the beginning God created time space matter.
clawedification 7 months ago
@clawedification Many people choose to use the information wisely and discovered that religion, Christianity, the Bible, Islam, the Quran, and all the rest of it are just dumb. Others were not able to shake their indoctrinated brainwashed crap that's been planted in their heads. They choose to only assign validity to sources that they think share their beliefs. Humans are very impressionable and are very susceptible to be programmed with a belief that then is hard to shake, like a disease.
a1mint 7 months ago
@clawedification
Before we talk about the early earth, and other questions that you don't understand, let's first clear the table of any religion.
Here is some reading material about your little bible:
evilbible(dot)com
skepticsannotatedbible(dot)com
a1mint 7 months ago
@clawedification Now about your little scrolls. Fragments of various document full of gaps completely open to anyone's own interpretation, and the lack of any mention of this guy named "Jesus". It's like me shedding up a book and giving you only 5% of it leaving you to fill in the rest.
Plus there is all this secrecy preventing outsiders from examining it.
fiu(dot)edu(slash)~mizrachs(slash)dead-sea(dot)html
a1mint 7 months ago
@a1mint No really read the translations, for this reason you should know that language changes and you in fact have not taken into account that you are reading material written down before the advent of modern terms. You discredit these things before you know what they are.The idea that outsiders can not view it only correlates to atheist wanting it removed theifs of truth and other things that have been destroyed by your false faith. It does profisize Jesus you are a biblical hack.
clawedification 7 months ago
@clawedification There isn't anything credible written in any old documents about how the world came to be.
Some old document might report, like news, about some event that took place. Like a forest fire, or a LOCAL flood. A writer the writes up a whole story about some sort of divinely god doing grandiose things.
Then people today, like you, actually believe in the fantasy stories that that person write so long ago.
Absolutely ridiculous !
a1mint 7 months ago
@a1mint What book can you read that tells the future?I have seen these things come and go and i know it has a definate app.So where do your beliefs take you? I think you are great and hold you as high as one of my own children and yet you see no goodness in my way this is what you need to realize in order to commit your life to something. In total you are destroying yourself Afraid that we are right is where i stand on all this its evident you dont even know yourself.
clawedification 7 months ago
@clawedification Fortune telling isn't rational. However, based on evidence, some things can be predicted with a great deal of accuracy and confidence. For instance, we know that oil will run out. We know the Sun will eventually make the earth too hot to sustain life.
I don't go on beliefs, I go on evidence. When presented with information, I assign a level of certainty.
I'm quite certain that water is wet and that the theory of gravity is correct.
It's highly uncertain that Jesus ever was.
a1mint 7 months ago
@a1mint Ohhhh... water where did this come from? It just seems a little odd that 99.9% of all the water in the known universe is on earth, weird isnt it. How does one make life without water and how does one make life in the existance of oxygen? Water is h.2 o.in case you dont know water is 2 parts oxygen.acount for this then logical gaint. This is all correct to say,how does one believe we came from water but oxygen ruins the possabilty of it forming itself?hmmmmmmmmmmm.....
clawedification 7 months ago
@clawedification That's not true at all! You really haven't at all actually looked and examined the information, have you? You *actually* hear one little comment made on a religious Christian blog, and you immediately accept whatever false claim they make. Again, you only accept information from source you think share you beliefs.
a1mint 7 months ago
@clawedification Let me address your water misconception. Read slowly, you might not get it right away.
The earth is in what's called a Goldilocks zone. Not too close to, and not too far from the Sun. Water is abundant in the universe. It's all over. We can see that by analyzing wave lengths. We also know how hydrogen was an early main component of the matter than existed and how a star through fusion forms heavier elements.
Oxygen is plentyful. Hydrogen + Oxygen = water. Water is plentiful.
a1mint 7 months ago
@clawedification So, it seems you haven't read or examined scientific information about the subject at all. Why don't you actually read about it? I actually mean this in a constructive way! It's really very interesting.
See, inside a star there is an enormous amount of heat and pressure. Under those condition you get fusion, where hydrogen forms helium, and more and more elements. Then under the pressure a star explodes and in the process can form very heavy elements like iron.
a1mint 7 months ago
@a1mint This all depends on collisions that in turn would be counterproductive.Show me an example of two things colliding and creating order by this.Again i have looked at it and do understand that it is speculation based on more speculation that in turn is in its purest form an idea not fact. The earth is way to diverse to have come from any kind of explosion. Again if you read there is no way to confirm this idea water is here and scarce in the rest of the universe, its all an idea not fact.
clawedification 7 months ago
@clawedification You're trying to fantasize your way out. STOP THAT! This has all been thought out for you already. USE THAT information ! ! !
No it's not about collisions. It's about the gravity of the star's own mass.
How stars form and what happens inside a star, read up on it! Stop fantasizing or making up excuses. It's making you look very ignorant and silly.
a1mint 7 months ago
@clawedification And no, the earth did not suddenly emerge from a single explosion. It formed slowly. All the right conditions happened for life to start and for it to successfully evolve over all that time.
The universe has countless billions of galaxies each with countless billions of stars, many of them with various planets. Many of them HAVE to have the right conditions.
Let me make a stab at the number of planets in the universe:
10,000,000,000,000,000,000 possibly, likely many many more.
a1mint 7 months ago
@clawedification ... so that means that if one planet isn't just right, there are plenty of other planets as candidates.
Large numbers and long periods of time are concepts that apparently are very difficult to grasp by religious people.
And *NO* water is *NOT* "scarce* in the universe. It's very very VERY common. Just about every comet has a ton of water. In fact, they think that a good portion of earth's water came from comets.
a1mint 7 months ago
@clawedification I don't know everything about it, but enough to have an idea of how all the different materials, elements, got started. Of course, the question of where did the starting element(s) come from. That is a good question and we don't know the absolute answer. But that's ok, we learn more as time goes on. People are very busy on the subject. It's fascinating stuff.
Another interesting idea is quantum theories and possibilities.
The ultimate random being the lowest possible state.
a1mint 7 months ago
@a1mint Time god is not valid as no one claims to know what happened in the distant past. Its interesting how you say physics is a big part of it,do you know what holds us together? In case you dont it is photons or light, the bible clearly states we are children of light. It is also the first thing in creation. How do you propose that early man new such things? Again i try to appeal a rational argument that the bible holds information that is indeed correct. Pointing out this one from hundreds.
clawedification 7 months ago
@clawedification Noone knows, but there are interesting ideas out there. The quest is for evidence that backs some of these ideas. The Hedron Collider is one of those experiments. They're exploring various forces that are not normally detectable.
It's really very stupid to refer to something like a Bible and then make a wild ridiculous claim like "photons" is what holds us together. First of that is definitely not written in there, and second, that idea is completely ludicrous.
a1mint 7 months ago
@a1mint Does light hold all things together? Does God say let there be light? Does the bible also say we are children of it? Sorry but to most of the thinking community can plainly see that this is in fact the words in there right order. I suggest you look into this and you will find that im telling you the truth.Well until then i care not to argue as i might be subject to becoming a fool.
clawedification 7 months ago
@clawedification There is no evidence for the existence of a god or gods. You said that light holds us all together, and you made a complete fool making such a silly claim.
A scientific approach would have been something like "various sources of information all suggest that light is keeping everything together. Some examples of experiments revealing that are this and that, which you can read more about here and there". But of course, the religitard you really are, NOTHING backing up your CRAP!
a1mint 7 months ago
@clawedification You clearly wouldn't recognize a rational argument if you fell over it. You can't recognize it from a hole in the ground.
Any other insane claims you wish to make? Backed by nothing by ancient fantasy misinterpreted stories obviously.
Do you even know what science is, at all? Go ahead, make a guess, make us all laugh.
a1mint 7 months ago
@a1mint Ok lets see ummm..as a stupid christian that is an obvious joke i would have to say science is observation based on facts and test to prove a hypothesis. This does not mean you have to be an atheist or evolutionist to engage in the pursuit of TRUTH. Are you laughing i hope so.I am completely honored in the fact that i can make an obviously smarter being so amused like a little kitten makes a young girl smile. Its nice to be of service to the time God evolutionist.
clawedification 7 months ago
@clawedification Evolution is backed by lots of evidence. You haven't seen or considered that evidence, clearly, because you're not interesting in anything that contradicts or challenges your doctrine. Instead, you blindly accept any information that comes from sources that you think share your beliefs.
Science *definitely* pursues the truth. The Bible *definitely* however, does not.
a1mint 7 months ago
@clawedification And here, you can amuse yourself about how evolution works, and the various types of evidence you can find backing it up, here: evolution(dot)berkeley(dot)edu
Happy studying. But of course, you discard any and all information that is outside the sources driven by the weird bizarre fucked up doctrine you subscribe to.
You're ill. They should rename churches mental institutions.
a1mint 7 months ago
@clawedification And if the ultimate quantum soup of random is the absolute lowest state, with no time, space, definition of anything, then perhaps that can spawn something that can persist and spread. Perhaps there wasn't an actual big bang, but an expanding sphere, where on the edges of that expanding sphere matter was deposited.
It's not something I can prove, but it's one of the many ideas out there.
a1mint 7 months ago
@clawedification And like any other religious person, you will not scrutinize any information that challenges or contradicts your doctrine. You will accept any information from sources that you think share you beliefs, without question, and immediately as valid.
You and science are like oil and water. They just can't mix.
a1mint 7 months ago
@clawedification And what a pathetic excuse. You religious nuts are scared that something negative can be said about your doctrine, so you keep all your little "enemies" out.
Face it, religion is all about manipulation. It uses and abuses and exploits mankind's weaknesses and gullibility.
a1mint 7 months ago 3
@a1mint Well maybe you feel that way but what i see and do are way different. My wife feeds the guy next door because he lost his job and we also pulled together an effort to save his home.LOVE THY NEIGHBOR.We make constant appeals to many people in our community to better the living conditions in our area, evne the atheist and satanist there are none left out i seem to have a hard time with the idea that these things are bad.Help me out if you can.
clawedification 7 months ago
@clawedification Morals are a normal natural human value. Religious people, Christians or not, can not claim any ownership on this.
I commend you and your wife for helping out another in need, that's really great, and courageous. You must also have your struggles in life.
But this has nothing to do with Atheists, Agnostics, or Religion. As humans, as a species, operate at teams, in packs, we all collectively thrive. Alone we can't do anything.
a1mint 7 months ago 2
Well you got the point as most see it as a lie or an attempt to take away their view or discredit what conclusion one may come to. The values I hold dearly came after my failure to see,as i admit to atheism when i was uninformed. The things that come to light are not a result of science or any other man made idea.Truth is in the eyes of the beholder. The reality is subject to the view,if you are looking for flaws you will find them, but this may not be the case in another view.
clawedification 7 months ago
@clawedification And then there is verifiable science. Findings. Observations. Experiments proving how something can be.
It is absolutely silly for Christians or any other religious people to defend things that clearly are absolutely false, and to completely contradict science. And that's not actually about a god or gods.
What's silly are the stories in the Bible, it's not sane.
a1mint 7 months ago 2

SwordofSpirit1 8 months ago

If God is the Father of all creation..... then everything is family. Evolution does not bring us any closer to family than God does.

THIS IS THE MOST STUPID VIDEO I HAVE EVER SEEN. WHOEVER MADE THIS VIDEO, HIS PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS AND ANCESTORS MUST BE APES WHO MUST HAVE FUCKED APES TO PRODUCE THIS MONKEY TO MADE THIS CRAP. WE PEOPLE WITH INTELLIGENCE KNOW THERE IS A ONE AND ONLY GOD WHO CREATED MAN AND ALL SPECIES AND THE UNIVERSE AND THINGS WE KNOW NOT. HOW IGNORANT CAN PEOPLE BE.
