all that exists here are crocodile tears, if this ship was that special why didn't some rich guy in Finland, or the country itself, save it ???? Yeah. . . . . .think about that.
She was special becouse Finnjet have been word's largest ferry and still holds record for world's most powerful and fastest ship (35.5 knots), and she was able to reach from 0 to 33 knots in 3 minutes. Also technology in her is nowadays used in modern ships and her look is quite modern to compared another 33 year old ships. She was also the first passenger ship using gas turbines. If that's not special what is then? Our country was planning to buy her and so did few rich people.

Yes I know that. In news they said the reason was too short time to get room for dock to her. Also Finland is not rich country. But yes I get your point she is important piece of Finnish maritime history. I also don't fully understand why would it be so hard to get free space for her.
Sad, just so sad! I travelled 12 times from Helsinki to Travemünde in 1979-1996 and this was the dship to be called a ship! Good memories but a sad end to this story :(
das ist echt ne schande das die finnjet so ein ende hat. auch all die anderen kreuzfahrtschiffe und so tuen mir leid von solchen laien demontiert zu werden, die keine ahnung davon haben, nur mal wieder das geld...

problem was to get dock for her in that short time they offered I've heard. But you are right that she should have been saved. R.I.P. Finnjet
