Well with the sov changes in Dominion i foresee an increase in use of black ops for surprise attacks and logistical defence of newly claimed systems :)

indeed.. i do like the sound of the new ways to control your sov.. such as choosing what pirates will be there, asteroids, etc :)

They're specialized ships. You cannot compare apples and oranges.

the Black Ops ships are utterly useless.

At best its a bridge-builder, but its only used by alliances that needs their huge ass ships moved every once in a while...

I want one so bad cuz theyre cool and all, but damn theyre so useless...

@mastela88 nah, i think it'd be nice to have, definently for small corps. Quick way to get fleets places, and you don't need a titan. I've had em used to great effect on me :)

@mastela88 Those ships are used by small pirate groups and solo pirate campers in low sec. They can effectively perma-jam most ships. Unless you have some ECCM mods you're basically helpless. Plus, this ship usually doesn't fly alone. It'll have back up helping it warp jam and web you. Been told by friends if one of these gets you off guard and you're alone or with maybe with one friend, you're gonna have a real hard time taking out what you can't target.

The portal itself won't show on the map no, if you're jumping to a regular cyno it will show on the map and overview but a covert cyno doesn't display on either

so if i understant correctly, that cyno isnt on map or overview ?
