PEOPLE WHO ARE SHOCKING THEMSELVES WITH THE BATTERY OUT, YOU NEED TO DISCHARGE THE CAPACITOR FIRST. THE BATTERY-LOOKING THING THATS CONNECTED TO THE CHIP, GET A KEY OR SOMETHING METALLIC AND TOUCH THE TWO SOLDERED POINTS ON THE CHIP THAT THE CAPACITOR WIRES LINK TO. THERE WILL BE SPARKS SO BRACE YOURSELF. ONCE ITS DISCHARGED YOU WONT GET SHOCKED --AT ALL--. another easier way to make the taser is to tie paper clips around the wires that lead to the capacitor. make sure they dont touch though

if you shock yourself with the batterys out it is not uncommon as the circuit board has a charge up battery attatched befor you touch the 2 wires you need to hit them with something metal and when it sparks you will know that its got no power hope this helps

I did it with a Kodak, you just have to do it differently. Ignore the part about cutting the wires on the flash, just connect two wires to the two metal wires coming out of the capacitor (the cylindrical thing).

seen the same thing in maxim mag .. You do not have to cut the flash out at all ,its easier then all that no cutting required just open it up take battery out place screw driver or whatever across both leads of the capacitor to discharge it and twist a half of a paper clip to each lead of the capacitor. make sure the ends r not touching put battery back in and camera back together use tape or rubber band to hold case together, hold flash button ,touch to something
