@SigmaSigmaGnarly There's just something in the quality of the laughter that is different than the laughter of a modern audience. It's a subtle difference but it's there. I'm not trying to make any kind of statement, it's only an observation.
Dane Cook and Daniel Tosh are in the same catagory.. mildly entertaining with some funny points sometimes but their humor never evolves, its the same joke put into different context.. not so much.... so thats why they suck..
@angelsdarkness96 .. you are obviously clueless when it comes to good comedy... why do you think Dane Cook is NOTHING now? Tosh doesnt have long left...
Oh Steven Wright. I attribute to you the amount of esteem and lauded praise for your comedy that people only afforded to the likes of Mitch Hedberg & Sam Kinison after they had died. If I killed you, you'd be my favorite comedian.
@preppylilbunny my dad says that so often! i gues he got it from steve! its soo true, he got drunk one might in town, and didnt fancy spending 20 pounds for a taxi, so he wlked all the way from the city centre to our house, about 16 miles, took him about 4 hrs haha
@TheNoCoincidence My good sir, a lot of english people have trouble understanding too. I had to listen to Steven a few times before I got what he was saying. He's an expert on twisting context and logic. There is no other like Steven Wright.
@spacecowboy5000 Hahahah Steven Wright is the funniest comedian I have ever heard. His twisting ordinary things into humor makes me laugh until my sides hurt!! I will say ,you gotta have this sense of humor in you to understand and like Mr. Wright. And I most certainly do!!!
I love Don Rickles, Robin Williams, and many other legends, but this guy is my all-time favorite comedian. I don't know where he comes up with this stuff!
my mom lived next to his brother in Milford New Hampshire.....met Steve one time, too...I wish I was there so I could say I met "the guy on the couch"
I like the "if I melt dry ice can I swim and not get wet" and "travelling at the speed of light and turn the headlights on" bits. What a comedian!! The man is simply awesome.
his plain voice works for his act. but i find myself laughing more to people who put a little more personality into their show. not to say that i don't get a giggle or few from this guy.
Very very clever man. Deserved much more kudos than what he got. But hey, it`s the world we live in. The joke about the short story in which a photographer goes completely insane trying to take a close-up of the horizon is my fav joke ever.
@morpheusatloppers hahaha it`s absolutely classic. Burst out laughing every time. Sometimes tell it to people and they look at me in a weird way....lol!
