Mixcraft? Oh God, thats for people who want a REALLY bad approximation of Garageband. I see it ALL the time, "Is there anything like Garageband for Windows?" "Yeah...mixcraft" I've used it for a couple months actually. Horrible UI, and a bulk of the samples cant be used unless you're online. Pain in the ass. Easily the worst DAW I've ever seen. Reaper + Magix Vandal is the best thing I can suggest for guitarists on a Windows. Other than that, Mac it is. Garageband and Logic are boss
Mixcraft is incredibly easy to use, so I don't know what you're going on about. If you're making high quality music, GarageBand is a joke. Real musicians use stuff like ProTools and Sonar Producer. GarageBand is just that........a tool for garage bands that aren't going anywhere except posting their shit online and hoping that 1 or 2 people may download one of their songs.

Not that anyone else has to, but actually giving another OS a shot (linux or OSX) is a breath of fresh air from the windows logo on every boot and brings its own style, benefits, and problem areas. I just enjoy not having driver and third party program updates, instead having them all built directly into the OS. Save's alot of headaches come update time.

@99balien I beg to differ, a mac snc's ipods, iphones, and ipads an average of 8-20 seconds faster than a PC, a Mac opens any app on its system without displaying a hourglass every 5 seconds.
I'm an App Developer, using iphone 3.1.3 SDK, works quickly.
What can we all learn from this... No matter how much you spend on a pc, whether to upgrade hardware, or what have you, you still will have faults in almost every way. macs, are top of the line, no matter how much you spend, you still get badass quality for a reasonable price, because once that pc dies, its usually to the dump, Mac's stay home where they were meant to be.

(10) Macs have over 4 types of layouts of mindsweeper, macs have there own downloads page, which has more games than people think, macs were designed around a user, so not only does mac host many ways for multitasking, but also integrates everything together. Speaking of multitasking, macs can run more than 15 apps, where as pc's need to reboot after opening 6 or less.

(9) windows does hav wierd shortcuts, ctrl b for bold, ctrl i for italics... Sometimes having multiple shortcuts is best, you can have 3 + different formats of screenshots on a mac, command shift 3, command shift 3 spacebar, command shift 4, and more.
(8) Windows does, it chickens out and says you must restart the computer.... it tells people when to restart their computer... Windows treats its users like fools, telling the user it must update its software every day, even though the software has been updated. Also making the user get sucked into buying Norton Antivirus crap, which does not always work...
(7) Many more error messages show up on a pc. " This system has recovered from a serious error." Send Error Report, Don't Send... same thing, except happens more often on a PC.

everyone who says you can't play games on mac have you ever even used it? There are games for you to play NATIVE on macs. All of the new games coming out are for both Mac and Windows. Plus its really easy to port a Windows game to Mac all you need to do is get wine or make a cider port (look them up)

Actually here's a simple way to end the war.
Windows has win in it for a reason.
You can't really do a lot with the mac except basic things (go on the internet, listen to music, ect.) , windows you can go pretty deep and do tons of stuff with it

Also there is a reason that there is a mac label and a PC label on games, and that reason is to show you what computers that software works with. So either these programs you speak of are illegal, or macs are slowly turning into PC's.

One time i updated Ubuntu from the system update everything was fun but when i restarted my computer i wasn't connected to the internet and couldnt reconnect. Also when i use Ubuntu theres no executable file and everything is open source so you have to compile it your self

Yep, used to be litestep before they bought it out.
Although I like my mac. Not that anyone else has to, but actually giving another OS a shot (linux or OSX) is a breath of fresh air from the windows logo on every boot and brings its own style, benefits, and problem areas. I just enjoy not having driver and third party program updates, instead having them all built directly into the OS. Save's alot of headaches come update time.

@0oguyfrommarso0 except for the fact that macbooks cost loads more... its just cheaper to purchase a pc with windows already on it, with exactly the same specs. with macbooks, you're just paying loads more for the looks. A pc with the same specs as a mac is cheaper, so in my opinion (i understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and that its not necessarily wrong, its just their point of view) pcs are better, cause its not all about the looks. and for me, windows is easier to use.

@99balien I beg to differ, a mac snc's ipods, iphones, and ipads an average of 8-20 seconds faster than a PC, a Mac opens any app on its system without displaying a hourglass every 5 seconds.

What can we all learn from this... No matter how much you spend on a pc, whether to upgrade hardware, or what have you, you still will have faults in almost every way. macs, are top of the line, no matter how much you spend, you still get badass quality for a reasonable price, because once that pc dies, its usually to the dump, Mac's stay home where they were meant to be.

(10) Macs have over 4 types of layouts of mindsweeper, macs have there own downloads page, which has more games than people think, macs were designed around a user, so not only does mac host many ways for multitasking, but also integrates everything together. Speaking of multitasking, macs can run more than 15 apps, where as pc's need to reboot after opening 6 or less.

Windows treats its users like fools, telling the user it must update its software every day, even though the software has been updated. Also making the user get sucked into buying Norton Antivirus crap, which does not always work...
