Hahahaha that is ADORABLE! I had a feeling that mom cat might do the mom thing, and it is really cool to see that she has! I think it will only be a matter of time before he lets you closer :-) Well done!!!

The kitten was looking *really* paranoid. He must've endured some serious trauma at the hands of humans in his short life. But it's amazing to see him completely open up to his volunteer Mama, just as if he *is* her child. That relationship is going to be a *big* help for him. The stability that he obviously hasn't had, but needs desperately.

@anmoose Evening! & yes the kitten has been so frightened and paranoid the whole time I've had it! I think it has had it horrible unfortunately. I'm trying to reverse that & this one is taking some serious patience & trust on the kitten's part. The mom will be staying for now, so all is good with it being able to have another cat around. I adopted out the last 2 kittens after the "rescued kitty" here had been w/them for a week, they even layed down together, which was cool. Mom's r best! ;)

My take from this vid is that he needs mothering, badly. The way he *instantly* took to her says it all. He also needs to interface slowly and gently with a gentle human who can reassure him that not all of us are like whoever it was that mistreated him so badly. He needs snuggling. Lots of it. It's good to know that Mom is going to be there for a while.

@anmoose Yes, my first thought from me seeing that he really didn't want her to leave him, is that he needs a mom bad. I am going to be keeping mom cat now so he can get better. I would hate to find her a home & then leave him all alone. I felt bad enough that the kittens had to leave to another home, but at least he spent a week with the kittens before they left which helped him some. As he played/sleep some w/them. That mom cat is the sweetest thing ever! She has to be spayed soon poor thing.
